  1. I believe that our military stays independent of a political party. There are few things to me that are the bedrock of American society. One of those is our military. They are what provides us the opportunity to live in relative peace at home when people like TFG aren’t in charge. I have maintained that when push comes to shove that they will not see against the American people. If it takes them stepping in once TFG crosses that final red line so be it. Take all the traitors with him in Congress and the Supreme Court and drop them off on Snake Island off the coast of Brazil.
  2. So many cowards in the media. They will be remembered for their complicity when we come out of this eventually.
  3. And that would be the point where we would see the country descend into complete chaos. I will posit that if history is a guide that that would be the point where our military steps in to stop the further degradation of the country by removing TFG. People can laugh and have skepticism, but the commanders in charge of our military take that Constitutional Oath seriously. At that point TFG is an enemy to the American people. I know, I know he’s been that since the moment he announced in 2015. That is more a final straw type deal if that scenario comes to pass.
  4. I don’t think Drudge is a big fan of TFG.
  5. Please rule that presidents can serve more than 2 terms again so he can be pulled out of the presidential “mothball” fleet to defeat dotard in 2028.
  6. I’d be okay with relocating the two to Oklahoma, permanently.
  7. Spent 15 years hanging out in South Dallas. No issues whatsoever understanding anything that was said. That made the movie more fun to watch. However, I would say a good bit of this board should do what you said and wait for subtitles or they’ll be completely lost.
  8. Enjoyable movie, especially in 4DX. Michael B. Jordan is going to have quite the career when he is done. The guy is just good in whatever he is in.
  9. Well you finally did it Texas. You've stolen from everyone else in the state that you could except, you know, children. Congratulations on finally crossing the threshold from run of the mill grifters to now taking advantage of kids. This is the moment that education in Texas ceased to exist in any meaningful form. Sure, there will be teachers who hang in there to do right by kids that they know have no hope, but eventually those teachers will be run off and that's when you really go full 3rd world education. Hopefully everyone that has the ability to get out does. For those that don't hopefully some other states throw a life raft to you to get you out of the cesspool. Oh and I remember saying a couple of years back that I would no longer make fun of Abbott for being in a wheelchair. Well now he's done the thing that angers me the most and that's using children's education to turn a profit while screwing hundreds of thousands of kids over. Hot Wheels you are a trash human being. I don't wish death on you. To the contrary I hope you live to 130 and that you eventually have to meet some of the kids whose lives you messed with. I hope they succeed in spite of you and that one day they come back and get control of the state and make your life a living hell every single moment you are still here you worthless limp-legged clown. I'd say you'd stand up to them, but that tree kinda took care of that a few decades ago. Anyone that supports Abbott I hope a tree finds you as well.
  10. When the bill comes for the United States it is going to be hell to pay from the rest of the world. Generations of people are going to hate the US and I completely understand and agree with how they are going to think of us even if I vehemently oppose the aid being stopped just like almost all of us in this forum.
  11. I need Jesus in the school name for a 3rd time. And your school should only be about teaching kids how to make a brisket. That's it. They want to eat lunch each day? Better show up at 3am ready to cook or go home hungry.
  12. Good choice with the Kiwis. Nice folks who are pretty understanding about the craziness going on here. Same with the Aussies I meet.
  13. The mountains are a maga paradise, but you know there are a few sane people up there. You just have to search a bit. I can recall meeting some people there that definitely were not candidates for the cult. I think that one good idea is to buy a small plot of land up there just as a possible refuge in case you need it. I know land prices are much higher now, but look around and at least see what is available. Some land backs right up into BLM lands so it gives you more room to roam or places to be at in case the entirety of diet breaks down. Hopefully that last part does not come to pass.
  14. Part of me wants to just shrug this post off as a nonsensical rant, but it’s not that simple. Saying get help here does nothing either because there have been too many of these rants from this poster to count. I just hope they find a modicum of peace in their life. No more no less.
  15. You may get to shoot your shot on this. Every country has a very fragile veneer holding things together. If the destabilization reaches the point where food scarcity were to hit then find yourself a nice spot up in the mountains to live at. None of this has to be happening. Not one bit. The whims of an idiot and his cult put all of this stupidity front and center so we all get to revel in them destroying society.
  16. I think @Derka would say she goes hard in the paint. I know I say it about her. One of the few things Texas has done right is getting Crockett elected to Congress.
  17. The times I was rude to teachers and coaches in high school come to mind. As a young adult I went back to the ones who were still in my hometown to apologize for my actions. One apology was to Mark Bell, the father of former Baylor QB Shawn Bell. I saw him when I was in college. I was a student assistant at the time on the men’s basketball team as I had decided I was done being a mediocre football player at the university I attended. They were there to watch a guy on the basketball team who was also from my hometown. I told him I was sorry and he said it was just water under the bridge and I was just being a teenager. I had more interactions with him when I was broadcasting games for Gatesville from 2000-2004 and China Spring was in their old 17-3A district. He was always nice to me when I called him up.
  18. I met quite a few El Salvadorans when I lived on Long Island. I remember one guy recounting that he and his family had a farm and that they refused to pay money to the gang that was controlling the area they lived in. He told me the name of their town, but I cannot remember it. Anyhow the morning after they refused to pay they came to the farm and found several of their workers murdered as retribution for not paying. He fled the country shortly thereafter. I would bet on a similar reason for Mr. Abrega having filed for asylum. Just horrible that he now is stuck in a prison full of gang members because the ‘Merica portion of America has gone full on fascist and does not care about him and his family nor do they want him living here.
  19. I assume that the poster you are replying to was responding to the post I left. I have had that poster on ignore since last year around this time so if it wasn’t about something I wrote then I apologize in advance. I do not talk just to talk or send out a reply to two posters just to write something for no reason. I try to articulate my thoughts like I figure most folks would when responding to a post where my opinion differs from theirs. I stray away from posting something like “You’re a moron and wrong.” when responding to someone with a different view or thoughts.
  20. Such a cool movie. I try to watch movies like this by attempting to see these movies like I would have when I was a child. Seeing stuff like this reminds me to always keep that childlike love for a movie like this. I left the movie just feeling better and that's a great thing for a movie to be able to do.
  21. Considering that the only things that Angelenos usually will show up en masse for are a Lakers or Dodgers game, yes that is pretty cool.
  22. She is really good at getting her message across and she also uses social media to effectively communicate with people. The rare politician that is actually there trying to make a positive difference.
  23. It’s a recounting of a firefight from a first-person perspective. There is no plot development other than showing the harsh realities of war and the effect it had/has on those that were fighting. Very good movie.
  24. I saw this last night. It was direct and to the point. I appreciate a film that depicts what actually transpired without any character development. It showed the hell that being in a firefight is. War is not fun and this film definitely drives home the message of not glorifying war. For someone such as myself who never donned the uniform it gives me insight into what it was like for those that did. Those men have all of my respect for what they do as well as women who are frontline combatants in the service of our country. I would recommend seeing it if you are okay without all the character and plot development we have come to expect from war movies.
  25. I think Denver wins this series. This is still the Clips and they still employ Not Big Game James. Counting on him to deliver in clutch moments is humorous.
