Too much Gabapentin? His tics look like he's taking something.
Were I guessing I would say that is from Gabapentin or a similar drug. You definitely can get a nervous tic if you take too much of it. He probably has the good stuff in his system.

There is a vigil in Brooklyn I went to this evening and they talked about John Lewis. I think he would have smiled hearing folks saying they want to keep getting into “Good trouble.” like he did. I believe we should celebrate this man’s extraordinary life and not be sad that he passed. He was at peace and his life is just an unbelievable example of what can be done if you are determined enough and believe and know you are on the right side of history in what you are advocating for.

In other words he doesn’t want another embarrassingly low turnout like Tulsa. I suspect he will do one town hall and take two questions then spend an hour railing against the war on windows and that our suburbs are currently under siege at this very moment. Throw in a white nationalist comment or two where he says he was joking, comments about made up ratings and that should be about the extent of things.

I’m definitely stealing this. It’s a bullseye.
This. Resist. 3x what it was before. 10x what is was before. They bring the gestapo? Cool. We bring the people. Fuck you. This is going to require more people out in the streets protesting. This can’t just be left to the people doing this now. Some of the people on this board who advocate passionately for change are going to have to set down the keyboard and join in. If that stings anyone here I would suggest you ask yourself the following question. Are you cheering on others from the sidelines or are you out there making your voice heard alongside your fellow citizens?

I was originally going to go to the beach today because of the heat. With his passing I think the best way to honor Congressman Lewis is to go and protest so that’s what I am doing all day instead. He spent more than 60 years of his life fighting for equality in all facets of life. He was beaten repeatedly by racists hellbent on shutting him up. He took the beatings and kept on pushing forward. I cannot think of a better example of what we should all strive to be.
The least any of us can do is to get out and do what was second nature to him and protest and advocate for those who do not have a voice anymore as well as people still here who are treated as still being less than because of the color of their skin. If he can get out like he did in June and still be there supporting a new generation of protestors, while battling stage IV cancer, I think the rest of us owe it to him to do the same, even if only for a day for some.

Wait. There is a war on suburbs?
Not only that, but there is a war on windows in the suburbs. Joe Biden won’t stop until every window in the suburbs pledges fealty to him.

I agree with your premise except for one small but important part.
If people want a “non-evil” takeover of the GOP then TLP dudes aren’t exactly “non-evil”.
They’ve spouted some heinous shit, backed horrid candidates, and created some absolutely disgusting ads as recently as a couple of years ago.
And not a one of them has owned up to any of that now that they’ve seen the light. Any time they get asked about their past, they deflect or attack. The fact that refuse to own their past and admit they were part of the problem that got us Trump tells me they don’t care.
They want the same horrible laws and policies enacted they just find the current packaging distasteful.I would not donate a dime to TLP. Their ads are effective though and Democratic strategists should be taking a page out of their playbook, but largely they won’t. The party of hate and racism can wage their own civil war amongst themselves. Hopefully it ends with the whole damn party being completely obliterated and never seen in this country again. Republicans are just fucking evil and the guys doing those ads are just jockeying to get control of their backwards ass party of hate back once Dotard is gone.

Yes football fandom will play a role because it’s all Tuberville has to point to in regards to his relationship with the state.
Bama fans HATE him. Tuberville needs to sort of hide out - he doesn’t need to be on television every night acting all smug and reminding Bama fans when that self-righteous smugness was directed our way.
And Auburn fans hate him too! Go look on any AU football message board and search for Tuberville. HATE.
The jugeared asshole doesn’t even really live here anymore and hasn’t since he left over 10 years ago!
He bought some property in 2018 to fulfill the residency requirements for this race.
Y’all see now why I wanted Tuberville to win?
Finebaum is going to be dripping poison and hate towards Tuberville daily for HOURS. He’s always hated him personally and now he gets to use that against him politically. Finebaum is a big ole lib. And he’s very friendly with Jones. And with no sports to speak about his show has dipped its toe even more in politics and social issues.
Alabama Democrats haven’t had much to fight for or get excited about in DECADES. With new party leadership and this race we have a lot. And we go hard in the paint.
I don’t really need to donate any money to campaigns here where I live so Doug Jones is who will get it. You guys are not only gonna have to go hard in the paint you’re going to have to do this repeatedly to Tuberville from now until Election Day.

Alabama democrats going hard in the paint. They need to put on clinics for the rest of the Democrat party on how to go after your opponent on the things that matter to them the most, which in this case is football. "He also lost to Vanderbilt." DAAAAMMMNN that's gonna leave a mark.
They are setting the template for how the rest of the country should attack any candidate from the Cult. You grill them, shame them and go after them over and over and over. Use local examples of their profound stupidity like this that will resonate with people. You can't play nice anymore and try to take the supposed high road. Get in the mud and fling it in their face 24/7.

Oh....they don't. But they then claim that they stabbed themselves in the face to own the libs, hurr durr.
As with everything else in this shitshow of an admin and country, when it comes to GOP stupidity.....there is no bottom.
I wonder how they don’t wake up and piss on the wall and eat rocks for breakfast.

I think what Brothahorn contends/believes is that everyone who marches with BLM does not participate in the anti-black-on-black violence movement.
It seems like an absurd belief/contention, but what do I know?
It’s absurd.

If his mouth is moving he’s lying.

Could he just choke to death on a Big Mac already? We can't handle any more of this shit. Seriously, we're already in a world of shit, and he just keeps taking megadumps on top of it.
This has literally become a life-and-death matter, and he keeps pushing down the scale on the "death" side of things.
I can’t listen to Dotard talk, at all. The day that idiot dies needs to be declared a national holiday going forward. If I still drank I would probably die of alcohol poisoning the day it happens.

It's amazing that the Republican Governor of Mississippi gets it, tries to lay it out, and half the readers completely get it backwards.
Yes he laid the facts out pretty well in his explanation of why herd immunity is not possible and why no one with an IQ above potato should be claiming it will happen. This will not stop people who shun facts and data from laughing at him.

If you haven't finished the show don't click on the link below. It explains the timeline in-depth and what happened in the years between the 33 year intervals. That a show has to be explained like this is honestly pretty cool. I tried not to focus on every little detail and just enjoy the show, but the link fills in gaps for me.

I definitely felt the same way about the end of season 2. I wasn’t sure how they were going to tie it all together in the end, but season 3 delivered.
Season three was great. I really enjoyed the ending. The season is harder to follow at times than the prior two due to all the jumping back and forth through time, but it delivered. I usually do not like shows like this, but it was so well written and the acting was exceptional.

I almost never go to DT to read anything because most of the topics aren’t of interest to me, but I went and read some of the Covid thread last night when I got in and holy hell there is a staggering amount of stupidity contained in it. There are posters there who are intentionally shielding themselves from actual data, science and accounts of what Covid has done in this country.

I'm quite running out of compassion for seemingly sentient creatures who ignore all science, advise their constituents to do stupid things, catch this disease, and die.
I'm not yet at the "fuck 'em" stage, but I'm about one day away.
Oh, who am I kidding? Fuck 'em. Evil, evil people. Burn in whatever hell you believe in.
I did not think I would get to this stage, but here I am as well. I have no compassion for people who are willingly harming our fellow human beings right now.

Not that I would have wanted it for him, but we would have been better off if Boris Johnson had died from it. High profile, liked by MAGA, and an earlyish case. Trump would have been wearing a mask the next day.
I don't think even that would have convinced him to. Dotard thinks he is immune to anything and everything. There is no convincing him that he is a prime candidate for Covid. His narcissism will not permit that kind of thinking.

Land of the free where we have a President who wants to sell 3 million US citizens to the highest bidder.
Brown people so doesn't matter. What a fucked up country we are that Dotard can say something like this out loud and it barely registers a blip on the radar of all of the awful things he has done.

This was a story relayed to me from one of my best friends who lives in a suburb north of Dallas. As soon as bars were reopened there one of his co-workers that he has known for years thought the whole thing was a joke. The guy is 50 and health-wise was a prime candidate to get Covid. He was going to a bar every single day. He comes into work about three weeks or so ago and starts to feel sick. He got Covid and almost died. He is not allowed back to work and my friend has stopped going to the office entirely (He was going 1 or 2 days a week, but is now working remotely).
My friend kept telling this idiot he was going to get Covid because of how reckless he was acting. Now the guy is hooked up 24/7 to an oxygen tank at his home and is apologizing to everyone he knows about what he did. This kind of blatant stupidity is why we don't have this under control.

John Lewis has died
in Cloak Room
Posted
This is the enduring legacy John Lewis will leave behind. This young man is all of 12 years old and is out actively doing more to spur change in this country than the people who should be out in front of this demanding equality for all. Seeing this is so damn cool and sad at the same time. A 12 year old is out marching and protesting to make sure the lives of African-Americans are as valued as any other. I can’t wait to see the leaders that emerge out of this over the next 20 years. If you have a protest near you go out and listen because whether you realize it or not you are helping people grow into the leaders of tomorrow by supporting their growth into one.
