Small up front, but this season is the result of a cohesive offensive line, a fun back with an excellent name, a young QB playing well and a head coach that is quickly ascending to being one of the elite coaches in the college game at age 34.
None of that means a whole lot as the season ends on January 1st. Considering this was supposed to be a year of being a bottom feeder I think this has been more than a sufficiently excellent season. Perhaps some of the longer tenured ASU folks can speak more to that since football mostly has done a whole lot of nothing for a long time. Where ASU has an advantage over every program in the Big XII is location combined with hopefully a willingness to spend going forward. The next thing Coach Dillingham should do is get in some bigger guys upfront. Go put a sign up in American Samoa advertising free cars or whatever for recruits. Just get some big fellas up front on defense. I trust him to make some really good decisions.
