  1. @Hank Kingsley that is an incredible story that you shared and I am glad you let us read it. I am certain your grandfather was a good man that would be proud of you.
  2. You have zero ability to have any objectivity. It’s one of the reasons you miss so badly on almost every single prediction you make in all sports. The Yankees would be better served if you picked them to finish dead last every year.
  3. I watched Challengers this week and that movie was all over the place, but mostly in a fun way. Ostensibly it had to do with tennis, but mostly about the two guys fighting for her. It was a good watch once I thought about what I saw later on after I left.
  4. Pretty cool for the young guys win the biggest game of their careers thus far. Denver will have to be content to remain at the one-time table of NBA Champions while the Wolves try to join them there. Should be a fun final two rounds.
  5. And have two major cogs that have injury histories. If Soto was to leave this lineup for any appreciable amount of time they would be in a world of hurt as he is the player most responsible for the Yanks returning to being good again. Perhaps you are intentionally glossing over the potential injury issues that can come up for the Yanks with Judge and Stanton. Beating up on bad teams is how you build winning records so mission accomplished from the Phillies so far.
  6. I Saw the TV Glow. Watched it last night. I am certain it will resonate better with other folks. It was a one time watch movie for me.
  7. If you had the Phils and Yanks as having the best records in each league right now you might want to head straight to Vegas and bet the farm on whatever you want to. The Phillies seem to have more staying power out of the two I think mainly because you cannot trust Stanton nor Judge to stay healthy for the entire season.
  8. Flat Earth> Injured Leader of his team. I have a feeling that he’s going to go completely off the map in the WCF and Luka will have to really round into form to get the Mavs to the Finals.
  9. Well yes they would qualify as a not real good team this year! Mediocre might be my nicest interpretation of what I saw from the Purple and Gold. Probably trending further downward going forward as well which I am sure makes a lot of NBA fanbases happy.
  10. I’d root for the old Red Army team before I will pull for THOSE GUYS. I’m cool with this Pacers team winning. They are pretty entertaining when they are firing on all cylinders and they’ve got the nobody believes in us chip on their shoulders that seems to be helping them.
  11. The Pacers are a dumpster fire on the defensive end, but they can score almost at will at times. If they had an actual big man on their roster I would pick them to win the ECF. They could take this to six if everything goes right for them though.
  12. Skip straight to the 32 owners of NFL teams. No need to kill some well-intentioned, but not enormously talented, c-list actors.
  13. Mike Miles. You want to brush up on this comic book villain. Currently in charge of HISD, but also a guy who has charter schools in Texas and Colorado. Transferring a few million from his Texas schools to ones in Colorado that are in serious debt. In effect he is taking Texas taxpayer money to pay off Colorado school debts. He also ran DISD for three years and managed to wind up being universally hated before leaving the district.
  14. Miles is a criminal and it would be nice to see our justice department investigate him for being one. @YGIFS get out your Batphone and make some fun calls to Miles office and then to some people that can ruin him professional and financially for this.
  15. When in doubt as to why these folks are doing this remember it is ALWAYS about money. They have zero shame in profiting off of your children’s education or now lack thereof. The charter school spigot turned on another government revenue stream and it will only grow much larger going forward in Texas. Even here in New York they want permission to increase the amount of charter schools in the state. Greed does not know state boundaries.
  16. Hoo boy. Brett Shipp is the last person you want investigating you. This will be the end of Mike Miles and his charter grift by the time Shipp and his team are done. If I had a grave pissing tour like some of you do, well, Miles would be at the top of the list once he becomes worm food.
  17. Christofascists in America have had it so rough. Hard to even burn a cross in a random person’s anymore without offending someone.
  18. For me personally it would be Jesse Plemons. His performances resonate more with me than any other younger actor or actress and the range of characters that he can do is pretty cool.
  19. I support you doing this as well as anyone else that has the ability to do so as well. These cretins are not held to account for their actions and it’s well beyond time for them to find out what happens when you do things like they’ve done.
  20. I go back and forth on this, but this is a better use of his time I believe than other things that he could be doing. Considering we have this clown going on TV and not telling the truth about pretty much any question she is asked makes doing this seem like some nice payback to the people enabling this nutjob.
  21. Clearly the woman is off her rocker, but yes not to his level. Killing a dog like she did is indicative of a very dark side to her personality though. I have a dog that is 16 months old that has some issues of being territorial, but she’s a pup still and it’ll be okay. Killing a dog like she did is just nuts to me though, especially being so young.
  22. That guy and his schtick have not aged well. He also looks like he’s around 70 now instead of in his 50’s.
  23. In the playoffs I would rather just see some really hefty fines handed out to players than suspensions no matter who it is or what team. The exception to me would be if the guy got in a fight that injured an opposing player. Other than that hit them in the wallet and hit them hard because none of these guys, no matter how wealthy, like losing money.
  24. Sometimes you gotta wonder just how much of what the Pilgrims said about coming here for religious freedom was really just that no one liked them because they were just not good people.
  25. I hope not, but I am hopeful that by the time any of this happens that I will have long since left the US. Crazy people are everywhere, but man ours really go over the top with it to hurt others.
