  1. I want that stuff included. I do realize it was prior to the appointment, but we know why he got it paid. Man have we failed so miserably as a country to be in this position with the highest court in the land.
  2. This total is absolutely false. That guy had debt wiped away like it never existed and I am supposed to believe he took only a 100?
  3. This is a somber day I believe to remember the young men who died trying to retake Europe from the Nazis. There were so many more lives to be lost between Europe, China, the Central Pacific Drive, MacArthur retaking the Philippines, Iwo Jima and the biggest battle of all for Okinawa. Just so much death and yet here we are not learning the lessons that these brave men taught us 80 years ago. We need to do better and honor the few still left and insure the world is never plunged into the mass chaos that happened across the world from 1931-1945.
  4. Anytime Chrispy, or one of his numerous accounts since then. inserts his hetero argument on players just ignore it. A baller is a baller. End of story. Clark just came along at the precise right time to capture the attention she has. It’s good for the WNBA and that’s awesome in my book. Hopefully it leads to other players and teams gaining in popularity.
  5. Just to commment on one aspect here. The Huskies took 18.6 seconds per possession, which is quite a bit of time. The movement and length of these plays are pretty cool to watch. Where this would translate to success for the Lakers is that LA has to play a slower style with Davis and James on the court. I think it would also lead to another year of getting about 24 free throws a game, which LA needs in order to give the old guys a rest at times. Or this could backfire massively and LA winds up looking like the 80’s Clippers. Either way it’ll be interesting.
  6. Yeah there’s no getting around that. He brings a media frenzy and then when he goes full passive-aggressive when he’s frustrated it brings unwanted attention to the team. He’s been mostly good to have as a Laker, but man the unending attention is I guess like when Barca had Messi. Being in LA also helps bring that tidal wave of attention.
  7. Once PE shows up the end game is to close you down by-by-bit.
  8. I would counter that at the top they are the exact opposite of the Cowboys. Jeanie is the most respected governor in the NBA and does not interfere in personnel decisions. She stays out of it and just supports the team. The circus stuff comes from so many reporters wanting to beat each other to the punch on a story that should be a run-of-the-mill type thing to report on. I think Woj sat on the info while his former protege put out other stuff. I was joking with a Mavs fan friend earlier about the attention being on LA now. It’ll subside as soon as the opening tip happens tonight. This could be one of the best finals in the last 25 years and no amount of Lakers news will diminish it. Now next year when we’re trotting out Bronny as a starter on opening night? Hoo boy get ready for some Japanese media following Ichiro or Ohtani related craziness.
  9. He was also probably trying to see if the value of his building went up since it was the tallest one again. There is no low for him. We all know that, but what we see as negative human traits his followers see as “He’s a moron just like us!”
  10. Just so we all get a good reminder of what a good person is in comparison to a narcissistic psycho. Steve Buscemi is down there volunteering and risking his own life and health alongside his brothers trying to save lives at the WTC. His instinct was to help those suffering and to save lives. I do not believe he has ever willingly brought it up unless asked about the experience. Meanwhile Dotard is saying this. What an incredible difference there is between these two people.
  11. I’m cool with that. Great coach that excels at player development. Pay him what he wants. The best part is reading Woj just mention his brother almost in passing in that article.
  12. He definitely is a good guy. I am friends with the guy who played Buscemi’s butler on season two of Boardwalk Empire. He said working with him was a great experience and he was so kind to everyone on set.
  13. That schedule right out of the gate was insane, especially so for a team with very little in the way of top shelf talent on the roster.
  14. These leagues have brought this upon themselves in the pursuit of more revenue.. Eventually there will be a star get another lifetime ban.
  15. You do not have the ability to look at opinions other than your own and you know this. Objectivity is being able to see another point of view, in this case why are the Yankees better this season than last year. My opinion is it is because of Soto and that he is the engine of the whole thing. You have a different opinion and that this is a Judge driven machine. Neither opinion matters .
  16. Once again you have zero objectivity and are obviously perturbed about an opinion, that much like your own, does not matter. The difference is I can read your opinion, as can others, and not respond like that. Get over yourself and get back to your bread and butter of making wildly inaccurate predictions about high school football. I gotta say that Mr. Mendoza finds this to be an impressive line.
  17. My argument, if there is or will eventually be one to be made, is that Soto is the engine making everything go. Volpe is having a much better year with Soto behind him and Judge is benefitting hitting behind him. Even Stanton has managed to remain upright this year. You take Soto out of the lineup and the Yanks are right where they were last year.
  18. He should be the front runner for AL MVP right now.
  19. The Yanks have had quite the 9th inning. Soto’s contract just keeps going higher with moments like that. I don’t know where this team would be without him.
  20. My brother had a really serious work accident about a month ago and he could’ve died had he not finally gone to the ER. We don’t talk a great deal and it is because of me being a terrible older brother when we were kids. All of it looks different now in the context of having had autism and no one knowing, but you can’t change the most past. I sent him a text and he responded a few days later once he came around. He told me to come visit this summer since I haven’t been home in three years. He has some severe anxiety that contributes to his health issues, but hopefully he heals up and everything that happened does not hinder his long-term health. Sometimes I think family issues are the most difficult to overcome and this one has been a life-long hindrance to us being much more than acquaintances. I just give him his space to hopefully eventually sort through the past and make peace with it. I apologized five years ago for not being a better brother, but time has not yet healed these wounds.
  21. I randomly saw that Lampasas RB Jett Walker transferred to Georgetown. That’s a big gain for them getting Walker. Lampasas will definitely be throwing the ball more now for sure which I am glad about since all of the WR’s and TE/H-Back and QB returned. WR Ty Johnson is going to have quite a sophomore season now with one less guy to share touches with. He’s a guy that were he at one of the big 5A or 6A schools would already be far higher up the recruiting lists for 2027. I believe I read he got his first official offer from Tech this spring on a visit.
  22. Chiang kai-Shek was to be kind a terrible leader of China before the civil war, but he did warn our diplomats about Mao and the Communists. Peanut saw the coming storm in China once the Pacific War ended. If you had told America in the 1930’s that China would be an adversary almost a century later they would’ve laughed as Americans were almost universally sympathetic to their fight with Japan in the 1930’s.
  23. Ezra. It was a movie about a father and his autistic son and an unplanned trip they take across the country. I enjoyed it because I saw so many things in the movie that the child experiences that I still experience as an adult on the spectrum. DeNiro had a supporting role that he took because I f having one of his own children having autism. I feel like this is a movie where if you do not know much about autism or have a child that is on the spectrum then this would be good to see.
