  1. Stephenville up 17-10 now with 10 left in the 4th.
  2. Stephenville up 17-7 on Carter. Looks like we might have a rematch with Celina and Panther Creek. Stephenville, from what I have seen, is good, but not great. LaVernia up 42-31. Almost done. Davenport up 63-28 and also just about done. 125 points in two playoff games. They win next week by double digits.
  3. LaVernia on the verge of icing this game and moving on to play Davenport and that ridiculous offense they have.
  4. Davenport rolling to another easy win up 56-28 with the backups getting extensive time out there. Boerne is down 35-31 late in the 4th and LaVernia has the ball.
  5. He moonlights as a mule for MS-13.
  6. Come on. The new NBA IRON MAN is injured? Next thing you’re gonna tell me is James Harden is not an ideal teammate.
  7. I read this book over the summer. I enjoyed it.
  8. I would never use FedEx for anything. If they went out of business tomorrow, well, great.
  9. I left with around 30 minutes or so left. There was two other people in the entire thing about 8 rows below me. When I go I always turn off the phone and focus on what I am watching. If I find myself not enjoying it I leave. Not the first nor the last time it’ll happen. Not every movie connects with every audience member, but again it does not mean this is not a nice movie. I only pay 24 a month for that AMC pass so leaving for me (And I am sure others that have the pass) isn’t too big a deal. It doesn’t happen often. The last time was that Charlie Day movie where he can’t speak. There is no way anyone liked that movie.
  10. Knew it wouldn’t take long for that snark to appear. If I feel the need to look at my phone during a movie I know it is time to leave. Nothing drew me into the movie, but it does not mean others are not enjoying it.
  11. I can see how teens might enjoy this movie because of one of the main characters. I am watching it right now. I am not connecting with this movie, but for the folks that are I think that’s cool.
  12. Sounds like he may be a Puritanical Christian.
  13. So you want the basketball version of this? I’m in! They can even let Clipper Darrell play Randy Quaid’s part and rush in from the stands. Maybe have Jim Ross give the lead in to the whole thing.
  14. This is just cable TV all over again. I have Prime (Good for many other things so it’s worth it) and then Britbox, Acorn TV (More UK TV) and PBS Masterpiece (Again mostly British stuff). I will not go back down the cable route again and buy several other streaming services just to watch one show. I can get so much from those streaming services I have that I don’t care what else I do not get to see.
  15. I went to see this movie again tonight because I thoroughly enjoyed it so much the first time. I gotta say that Dominic Sessa is going to be a GREAT lead in a whole bunch of films over his career. It is so hard to believe this is his first film. So young, but so talented and he more than held his own in all of the scenes with Giamatti. I would go as far as to say he should get a nomination for best supporting actor. I also want to say what a superb job Da ‘Vine Joy Randolph did in portraying Mary. Her grief was palpable and seeing how she dealt with the trauma of losing her son was emotionally intense, but man she was good. Go and see this movie. Take the two hours and go sit in a theater for this. If Giamatti does not get a best actor for this no one should.
  16. They’d have to sit a year so no. I think he comes back for his last year. Give him a functioning offensive line and a better defensive front and Colorado can get into 7-8 win territory.
  17. Well Westbrook for sure already knows the score with him. The endless iso-ball possessions should get the rest of them understanding why no one misses him from prior teams.
  18. Denver it’d be real nice of you to beat THE SYSTEM and his new teammates which have not grown to despise him yet. Doing it without Murray would make it fairly humorous.
  19. It’s like taking a trip to somewhere cool you wanted to go, but instead of that you took a wrong turn and ran out of money and gas.
  20. This is somewhat Spurs related. Last night I was on FaceTime and “talking” to my year and a half old nephew. My mom had him in front of the TV watching the Spurs. He knows how to say ball and he seems interested in watching it on TV. My response to my mom who was watching him was “Well gotta go out now and get Eli a Magic Johnson jersey!” Honestly I hope he just enjoys the sport and plays when he gets older. Kinda cool for him that I’ll tell him one day his first exposure to the sport was watching a guy who is going to revolutionize how basketball is played.
  21. It’s all fun and games until someone puts a microphone in front of him and he reminds you that he has an IQ of 12 and that everything is a vast conspiracy to him. He’ll wear out his welcome in Dallas just like he does everywhere else. When Luka gets sick of him either Luka will ask out, or far more likely, Cuban jettisons him to the hinterlands to play for the Wizards.
  22. Whole lotta words there to remind everyone he has skin that’s thinner than peak Mack Brown. I think Poole will eventually play for the Clippers.
  23. Blake Gideon to the white courtesy phone please.
  24. I never spent any time in Highland Park, but my friend can recall that night like it was yesterday. People can sometimes show you the worst of themselves in moments of great disappointment like the time after that game in 1999. My friend is a guy that gets along with pretty much everyone (He’s a SOC grad), but man you mention Highland Park and he still wants nothing to do with them 24 years later because of that night.
  25. This seems as good a place as any to post this. I saw that Mississippi State fired their head coach this morning. The offensive coordinator was Kevin Barbay. Pretty distinctive name if you know anything about smaller schools in Texas. Sure enough Kevin is the nephew of legendary Newton head coach Curtis Barbay. Not real sure why he abandoned the Air Raid in favor of an offense that scored 33 points in the final four games before he was sent packing, but he’ll have some free time on his hands to sort that out.
