  1. you appear to be counting DTs, not all DL, and I don’t know where you’re getting your numbers from, but you should find a different source. We have 9 DTs on the roster, counting Bledsoe. And he’s listed at 293 on the Texas website, which is definitely DT weight, not edge.
  2. You were dead wrong within half an hour of your post. That is extremely impressive, even for Surly. Bravo, sir.
  3. Looking at the lap time charts, both Lando and Charles stayed out 2-3 laps too long in the first stint. Charles especially had too much deg to stay out that long on the first stint. He could beat George for 4th probably. They both lost a lot of time in those last laps in the first stints and didn’t gain enough back on the last two stints because no one had to stretch their tyres that much in the last two stints.
  4. She reminds me of Nico. Both are kind of raw and still new enough to commentating that they just give their opinions unfiltered, which creates some really good insights. Feels like the rest of the Sky crew have been doing this stuff for so long that they just regurgitate the same comments every race.
  5. I’m not a fan of Danica generally and she’s not well suited for being a full commentator, but she’s actually doing a great job trackside giving insights that are hard to tell from TV, like talking about late breaking, stability, and ride over the curbs. I like Brundle, but a lot of times he falls into the same talking points he’s been making for decades now and he doesn’t give much real insight race to race on stuff like this.
  6. Yeah, he’s a decent talent, but not F1 level. I’d like to see him get a shot in IndyCar after this. I think it could be good for him. His good races would stand out and the shitty ones would be overlooked while he develops.
  7. Why wouldn’t I be good? The last race I remember was Charles Leclerc winning his home race in Monaco. It does seem like an unnecessarily long gap til Barcelona, though.
  8. My guess for silly season: Haas: Ocon and Bearman. Merc: Antonelli VCARB: Danny Ric and Lawson. Williams: Sainz Audi: Tsunoda Alpine: Zhou. They need the money and want sales in China. And it’s not like they’re trying to run a competitive F1 team anyways.
  9. This is the good shit. Bo Davis having sway with (but not yet actually flipping) a guy he got to commit to Texas is a clear sign he’s recruiting at a much higher level at LSU than he was at Texas. Nevermind that he hasn’t actually gotten any commitments and he just completely struck out on landing a single quality DT transfer on a team whose DT depth chart is in more trouble than the buttons on one of Elko’s blazers.
  10. Checo re-signed for two more years at Red Bull. The Constructor’s title fight is on for the next three seasons boyz! I saw one guy reporting it’s a 1+1 with a team option, which would make more sense. Still kind of shocked they stayed with Checo when Sainz is available. I guess they think giving Max the absolute best possible shot at WDC over the next 2 years is way more important than the WCC.
  11. Ocon was already planning to leave so this announcement is more about timing by Alpine and them trying to save face amidst being an absolute dumpster fire of a team/organization. Maybe. He's still a good driver, despite his teammate issues. There's been a lot of rumors about Ocon to Haas, it's unclear whether that's to replace K Mag or take Bearman's spot alongside K Mag. An Ocon-K Mag might be one of the most entertainingly crashy lineups in the history of F1. If Haas doesn't work out, then his options could get thin. I would think Sauber/Audi would be his only option after that since Sainz doesn't seem to want to go there. It's interesting. A lot of rumors are popping up that Sainz may choose Williams over Sauber/Audi next year. Seems like a weird choice, but apparently Audi wants Sainz locked in for many years, while Williams would give him flexibility to jump teams if a better spot opens up in the next year or two.
  12. Yeah, they've definitely been a huge beneficiary of NIL. They still have the issue of a huge chunk of their state being OU fans, though. Mizzou winning more and having NIL funds will cut into OU's natural ties and recruiting so I'm all for it.
  13. As if we needed any more confirmation that Terry fucked this up royally.
  14. His entire bio is about ICIS, and it even has a link to their website. He quit working for ICIS over two years ago. I would expect nothing less from bathroom boy.
  15. Seems unfair. Lawrence Stroll would have to blow the entire Aston Martin budget on divers every year.
  16. You seem confused here. There could be, and likely will be, direct pay from schools with a salary cap (but that will require some type of collective bargaining with the players). There is no way to legally put a cap on NIL. Those are two completely separate things. There’s no scenario where NIL gets counted into the cap.
  17. Yeah, that guy will be lucky to end up top 250. Absolute joke of a list of teams who would actually take him.
  18. Lol wut. He has elite athleticism, he’s a good rebounder and a solid defender and that’s it. He hurts your offense just being on the floor and you can’t have him in late in games because he’s a horrible FT shooter for his size . In what world is he anything more than a role player?
  19. Doubt the #SamplesEffect at your own risk, good sir.
  20. Ferrari with its first upgrades this year, and they changed a ton. They changed the sidepod inlet, added some aero near the halo, new floor, and a new rear wing design. Who knows how much improvement it will bring, but it is a pretty massive package that should have a pretty big jump in performance if it works (insert Ferrari joke here). Also, the floor edges are starting to remind me of the crazy barge boards we saw in the previous regs, which created a ton of dirty air and made it so tough to follow. Red Bull's new floor edge is crazy. I thought the FIA was clamping down on floor edge designs to decrease dirty air, but it seems like they've back off that lately and that's probably part of why it's getting harder for cars to follow.
  21. I didn’t move the goalposts. None of the examples you gave are meaningful data points on his evals. Hutson was terrible as a true freshman, which isn’t his fault. He played because our OL room was shit, but it doesn’t answer much about evals/development. Hutson’s now going into this third year and not slated to start at this point (though he could by Fall if he’s healthy) so he’s still a question mark. Robertson playing part of one game and being serviceable but not good and Agbo averaging one snap per game as a big TE are also not meaningful data points.
  22. You should probably stick to posting month old information on aggy commits. SI is a terrible source to cite and that list is shit. Like I’ve already said, there’s no doubt Flood is great at coaching OL. His evals/development of the guys he recruited is the only open question, and I don’t expect it to be an issue. We just haven’t seen much yet. The only 2 guys who’ve started that he recruited are 5 stars who didn’t take much evaluation skill. One of them was a no doubter from the day he stepped on campus, and the other is still a very flawed OL who needs to continue to develop in order to become an above average or better player.
