  1. It depends what your goal is. If you’re trying to win your division and make the playoffs every year, then the Cousin strategy works. If you’re trying to win a SB, it’s going to be almost impossible. The only QBs to win a Super Bowl in the last 15 years with a cap hit of more than $20 mil are Mahomes and Brady, and Brady only did it once. Most of his cap hits were around $15 mil when he won with NE, which was about half of market for a top QB. So you better be signing an all time great if you’re going to pay anywhere near market for a QB, otherwise it’s not happening.
  2. This is one of the more extreme drafts I can remember in terms of position depth. This might be the strongest OL draft in the last decades or two. WR and QB are also very strong. Edge is deep but lacking elite talent. LB and S are extremely weak. I’m expecting a couple guys at those spots to get overdrafted simply because they’re #1 at their position.
  3. I don’t think the Broncos need to draft a QB in round 1 this year. Their roster is an absolute mess. Even if they hit on a QB, they couldn’t build a good roster around him before he gets too expensive to win. They’re better off being terrible for the next couple seasons and stockpiling assets, then trying to find a QB in a year or two. Plus Payton has plenty of job security so he doesn’t need to rush it.
  4. lol wut. As of right now, the 2025 QB class is very weak. There aren’t 5 QB better than him on that list. He’s easily top 3 with the opportunity to be #1 if he improves.
  5. Well sure, but then it wouldn’t have cool real life features like bouncing uncontrollably if you push it fast.
  6. It depends on what trade value chart you use, but picks 11 and 23 get you somewhere between pick #3 and #4. Obviously you need a team willing to trade out or you may have to massively overpay, but I’d guess they’re gunning for pick #2 or #3 and will add more to get there.
  7. This reminds me of the SF transactions leading up to the Trey Lance draft. Feels like the Vikings made this trade so they can make another trade that gets them into the top 5 to take a QB.
  8. I don’t see any way Max leaves before 2026. He’d be crazy to hop teams next year because he’s be voluntarily giving a WDC to someone else. Even hopping in 2026 is risky until he sees who handles the new regs best. I guess he could sign a one year deal in 2026 so he’s free to jump to the best car after year 1 of the new regs, but the worst thing he could do is tie himself to a team for multiple years before he knows who will be on top.
  9. JFC, man. Get a grip. The NFL couldn’t be farther from the NBA contract-wise, and Cousins has always been an above average QB. He’s being paid what an above average QB gets paid when they hit the market unrestricted.
  10. No one is committed to Cousins for the next 4 years. He basically signed a 2 year, $90 million deal with the Falcons. I doubt the Vikings get anywhere near his level of play at the QB situation the next 2 years.
  11. Give you hope of what? Winning more than 7 games?
  12. Yet another metric I dominate my peers in! The Ws just keep coming! If I was a nurse, I’d be the highest paid nurse in the country. No nurse would lead in more metrics than me! /UTEE97, definitely
  13. Merc is so slow. Russell can’t even get in Alonso’s DRS and Bearman is catching Russell. What happened to that magical half a second per lap they claimed they had in Bahrain if they just opened up their cooling?
  14. Seems like a lot of people are being really unfair to Stroll. Is it really his fault he’s stuck out there on a circuit that requires actual driving skill?
  15. Here’s a cool video showing the aero gains RB made since last year. Their new design is a huge improvement.
  16. I mean this is just an unbelievably ridiculous take that shows people don’t understand it’s mostly the car. If you put Max in any other car and sub in any top driver (Alonso, Leclerc, Norris, Hamilton, Russell), Max would have no chance at the title. That RB is about 4-5 tenths faster than the field. No driver can make up that kind of time over another top driver. The margins between top drivers are extremely small. And the AM has terrible race pace. Checo would smoke Max in an AM in the race.
  17. Yeah, great performance by Alonso. It looks like AM developed a green SF 23. Very fast in quali but falls back in the race. Stroll posting his fastest time of the day in Q1 and being that far off his teammate in Q3 gave me a good laugh.
  18. If Checo was a good qualifier, it would be impressive, but Checo has been a below average qualifier his entire career. Beating Checo by 3 tenths isn’t some super impressive qualifying performance. It was good but nothing special. Certainly not something to lose your mind over, like OP did.
  19. Lol wut. Max is a good qualifier, but it’s the car. Checo is historically a bad qualifier and Max only beat him by 3 tenths. There was nothing special about that quali from Max.
  20. This could be quite the weekend for him. He qualified on pole in F2 yesterday and he qualified P2 at Jeddah last year, so he’s good at this track. Should be interesting to see where he qualifies and how he does in the race. Ferrari looks to be second fastest here, so he’s got a good chance to score some points.
  21. Your ability to be a blind homer in the face of contradicting evidence that you post is truly impressive. The first 3 3rd and 5+ on the game chart you posted were WR screen, QB run, and a short pass to the RB. That’s exactly what Cosell was talking about. They didn’t ask/trust him to drop back and drive the ball down the field very often.
  22. Some interesting data about Leclerc’s Bahrain pace. Ferrari estimated Leclerc lost about 6 tenths per lap on his early soft stint due to the braking issue and then was able to better manage the break temperature imbalance as fuel load went down and he got used to it, but still lost some time. Leclerc has averaged about .25 per lap faster than Sainz at Bahrain from 2021-2023, so if you give Ferrari an additional 2 tenths per lap and take off a pole seconds Sainz lost for having to fight through the field, it’s very likely Leclerc would’ve finished second and Ferrari got a 2-3 or 2-4 finish while being about 15 seconds off Max. Obviously Max is in a league of his own, but Ferrari having the pace to fight with Perez and get P2s while staying in Max’s pit stop window would certainly add some more excitement to the season. Then again, this may all be irrelevant as every team seems to be bringing big updates in the first 5 or 6 races.
  23. Yeah, the amount of dirt coming out on MBS lately seems very coordinated and he’s made a habit of pissing off FOM since he took the role. It seems to be more Jos than Max, so I’d guess it’s an ego thing. Maybe they think they can get Newey to go with them if they jump to Merc. There’s also talk about Ford backing out of its deal with RBR over the Horner stuff, so RBR could be in real trouble for the new engine regs in 2026. Merc or Ferrari could pass them up if they don’t do well with the new engine.
