  1. I negged you because you keep making stupid, off-topic posts.
  2. You’ve been too busy worrying the sky is falling to realize this is what we’re doing. PK has coached DE the entire time he’s been here.
  3. You’re looking at counting stats as a way to measure quality of DT play, which is your main problem. People who actually have watched him play know he’s solid, and we have a clear need at the position. This is a good, not great, take. Stop trying to overthink it. Nah. Savea is a good player. Blackshire is just a culture add. Savea will be first or second string and getting a lot of reps all year. Blackshire will hardly play at LB unless things have gone horribly wrong. He has always played DT, you fucking single-celled asswipe. (Is this the kind of commentary we’re allowed to post on OTF?)
  4. Lol wut. He graded out higher than any of our returning DL besides Collins, and he’s good against the run. How is this not a good take?
  5. Not nearly enough feces throwing in this gif to accurately represent this thread.
  6. Good chance he’ll start for us (unless we add another guy later). At the very least, he’ll be one of the main guys in our DT rotation. It’s a good add, and he definitely upgrades the roster.
  7. And some of their 4 stars are just based on HS ranking, like the Florida LB who was one of the worst LBs in the country last year.
  8. This was the fascinating thing about the DeBoer hire. From strictly a coaching standpoint, he might be the best football coach in the country. He’s won everywhere he’s been with elite offenses, well-coached defenses, and routinely overcome talent disadvantages. The guy’s 101-9 for his career if you take out the Covid year with Fresno State, and he’s 34-6 his last 3 years at a D1 without coaching stacked programs. But his recruiting abilities and program management are massive question marks. He’s never shown he can operate a D1 program successfully long term. UW was in for a huge step back next year, and he didn’t do a good job of restocking the cupboard for Year 3 before he left. Now he’s tearing down one of the best rosters in the country so he can restart it the same way he did at 4-8 Fresno State and 4-8 UW. Maybe it will work because he’s a great coach, but he’s essentially lighting on fire every advantage that came with taking the Bama job after Saban. Whether or not he wins there, I’m all for DeBoer turning Bama into a well-coached but less talented team, a la Oklahoma State with Gundy. Maybe we should send him some nice OAN fishing shirts while we’re at it.
  9. Even that number is absurd for a one year rental for a good, not elite, WR. I’m sure Bama dropped out at a number that was drastically lower than that, and now they’re inflating the number to save face for being a poor.
  10. They also showed bad vision and failed to maximize plays while fumbling twice and losing us the game. I’m not saying they’re terrible, but they’re a clear step back from Brooks, who was probably the best RB in the country this year. No way you can say the RB room is equal to last year’s.
  11. RB: I don’t think you watched the bowl game if you think there’s no drop off from Brooks. He’s significantly better than what we have returning. DE: no chance it’s same. We added one of the top edges in the portal with Trey Moore and we have 5 star Collin Simmons coming in while returning everyone from last year. DB: DB is significantly improved. Mukuba is a huge addition that will let us play 2 safeties with speed, and Williams, Muhammad, and Brooks will all be developing. We’re also adding 2 freshman who were ranked top 50 nationally.
  12. Just automatically assuming Giles is a good coach while being skeptical of guys like Wright and Okam because they don’t have a 30 year history of never getting promoted past DL coach, like Giles, is a fascinating way to look at coaches. I bet you’re a big fan of this guy’s podcast
  13. I don’t think there’s many people out there who actually think he’s a good TP. People just like him as a personality. It’s impossible to know if Guenther was good at his role or not. Haas is massively underfunded and understaffed. They could only bring updates once per year. No TP could have success there without convincing Haas to majorly increase the budget, which won’t happen. Gene Haas promoted someone from within so he could keep running the team the way he wants, which is putting as little of his money as possible into it and being a total drag on the sport.
  14. obviously swapping Haas for Andretti or even anyone who will try to build a competitive car will be a big improvement, but Haas has reportedly gotten multiple competitive offers and refused to sell, so while it would be great, there’s not much that can be done about it. If they’re going to turn this thing into a closed franchise model and have a spending cap, they need to implement a spending floor. Otherwise, you’ll get a Haas investing minimal money while netting profit off the backs of other teams every year. Claiming Andretti will dilute payouts while letting Haas do nothing for the sport and just freeload makes no sense.
  15. I guess that’s why he went 15-17 in the NFL, right?
  16. This is a real gem. Surly just wouldnt be the same without satya’s myopic, irrational hysteria.
  17. It’s pretty crazy to think his transfer altered two CFP spots. We don’t make the CFP without him, and UGA probably makes it if he stays there.
  18. He’s got some of the best passing offenses in the country after him, but we have posters on here saying he’s not even worth a scholarship.
  19. It’s pretty wild how many things you got wrong in this post. For one, we base out of 11 personnel and ran that package a majority of our plays, so it’s not true he only designs plays for 2 WRs. You also said it was rare our 3rd target would get more than a single catch. Our 3rd WR averaged 4 catches per game and that was with an elite receiving TE who averaged 4 catches per game. So the targets and catches for our top 4 receiving options were very high. It’s not at all surprising that Sark can get 3-4 WRs to commit every year when his top 4 receiving options put up good numbers every single year. Waiting around for a year or two when cracking the rotation more or less guarantees you’ll put up good numbers and likely get drafted makes plenty of sense.
  20. And I hate you for getting this song stuck in my head for the next 24 hours. Gonna have to play the Cars 3 sound track for my kids on the way home just to get a less annoying Disney song stuck in my head.
