  1. I’m sure Ewers looks great in practice. He’s scared of pressure and basil out of the pocket before there’s even a rush. He threw that 4th down pass into the ground when JT was wide open and easily going to convert because a free rusher was 3 yards away. Ewers just doesn’t have it mentally. He can’t work through his reads, and he’s not developing and he still plays scared. I think he’ll have some great games this year, like he did against Bama, OU, and UW last year, but he’s too inconsistent to take his team far. I doubt Sark will bench Ewers unless he’s god awful for about 4 games in a row, so all we can do is hope his good games come against teams when we need them, like Bama next week. Ewers would get pushed out even if he didn’t want to leave after this season. No way Sark chooses to lose both Murphy and Manning just for one more year of a guy who plays scared and isn’t developing.
  2. This is such a classic stanco post. Just dead wrong in every way. When projecting how good a team will be the next year, you absolutely have to factor in things like point differential and record in one score games to determine how good they actually were. The good teams win close games lines is utter bullshit. Good teams don’t get caught in a bunch of one score games. Lucky teams win close games and it’s not replicable.
  3. PK is a good coach. His defenses develop year after year. Unlike the other side of the ball for us…
  4. It would be great if he can develop and take over at LG this year, because Conner is awful.
  5. Idk what the fuck he was doing. Just set your feet and throw.
  6. Yep. Ewers makes it so difficult for the offense to execute well. He’s the exact opposite of someone like Duggan last year who constantly made plays out of nothing.
  7. DJ Campbell’s showing us why Hutson started all last year.
  8. Ask your wife to teach you about Football.
  9. You clearly have no clue what you’re watching. Catching that pass wouldn’t change how we’re playing. Rice is god awful. We should be dominating and we’re not even looking competent. I’m
  10. No. This has been consistently awful. One TD in 5 drives against fucking Rice. No push in the run game (even the long run was bad blocking but Baxter caught them overpurusing), Ewers looks like shit missing throws and not reading the defense and we’re still not close to hitting the deep ball while Sark keeps putting us in third and long.
  11. Maybe watch the game and how we’re playing instead of focusing on the score. The offense has been fucking awful. People are right to complain.
  12. This has been an absolutely pathetic performance so far. Sark sucks.
  13. Not as long as Chandler Morris is their QB. He’s dogshit., and Dykes was dumb enough to start him over Duggan last year. He got so lucky last year.
  14. There’s no reason to believe their secondary will be better by game 2 of this year. Their all-American Nickel from last year was drafted in the second round and their best safety was drafted in the third. Not to mention they lost the best pass rusher in CFB with no one on the roster who can come close to replacing his production.
  15. “We would’ve been 4-8 last year if Kelly knew how to win big games.” /Jimbo negative recruiting
  16. Seems unlikely. 4 of our top 6 or 7 DBs are likely gone after this year and we haven’t taken huge numbers at CB or S in the last two classes.
  17. 1. Having all of Mitchell, Worthy, and Sanders in the top 40 seems pretty crazy. Not sure I buy that. 2. PK recruited 2 DL projected to be first rounders on there to UW. Definitely not bad data points for his evaluating skills, on top of all the other guys he’s churned out, like Tryon who was a 3 star turned first rounder two years ago.
  18. I guess you didn’t read my post. He didn’t just show up in the pits unannounced. He was telling them for a while he should pit, but they were arguing with him. Even if they didn’t think he should put, they should’ve been readying his tires the second he said he wants to pit. He correctly overrode their decision. Even with the slow pit, he was in a way better spot than if he stayed out another lap AND would’ve had to double stack with Sainz. None of it mattered because he already had floor damage, but he absolutely made the right call. It’s not even arguable.
  19. The reason Ferrari weren’t ready is because they were telling Charles to stay out, but he basically said “fuck your strategy, I’m coming in.” They were ready because they were arguing with Charles about coming. If they didn’t fight him on it, or, even exhibited minimal competence and got ready for him just in case, then he would’ve come out of the pits about a second behind Checo. Charles had a terrible weekend due to his won faults, but he made the perfect strategy call on his own and against the insistence of his strategy team, and Ferrari still fucked him. Meanwhile, Checo had his team telling him to come in, they were ready to go, and Checo is in first by lap 2 due to basically none of his own merit.
  20. No. Charlie wasn’t even close. Herman’s first two classes scored slightly lower than Sark’s, but they were also bad on the lines and full of DBs and WRS, not to mention bad character evals like Bru McCoy, Tyler Johnson, and Jake Smith that inflated his rankings. Herman missed
  21. Not really. They beat us by showing light boxes and crashing hard on the run. Sark tried to run into it and attacked the middle and deep of the field, while TCU was leaving the quick outside stuff lightly covered. It took Sark well into the third quarter to luck into figuring this out by throwing a WR screen that Whittington broke for a long run. That loss had nothing to do with us not being good enough to throw on them. It was just an utter failure by Sark as the OC. He was absolutely pathetic in that game. Misdirection and quick hitting outside throws carved them up and we should’ve won that game easily with the way our defense was playing.
  22. Hitting the deep ball is the key for Quinn and Sark to succeed. Ewers best three games last year (Bama, OU, UW) were when was hitting deep balls and drawing PIs on deep passes. His stat line against UW would’ve been elite if not for Worthy having an all time terrible game. Worthy was probably our best deep threat last year, and he might be only our fourth best deep threat this year. Having Mitchell, Neyor, and Cook should really help increase our success in deep balls, and hopefully our interior OL can hold up better in pass pro to let more of those connect. If our offense can hit the deep ball, then it will be a top 10 O in the country pretty easily.
