  1. Yeah, poor Saban, the guy who’s been buying players longer than anyone. It must be really tough for him when he gets outbid.
  2. I don’t think there were any wet conditions when Hubert crashed. I remember seeing the video, and I’m pretty sure it was sunny and dry.
  3. Binotto was part of the problem. They only hired Vasseur in January, so he wasn’t given much time to fix things this year. Supposedly next year they’ll have like 60 new people, so that should be the real test of whether Vasseur has made improvements.
  4. Even when their car is slow AF, they still manage to cost themselves and Leclerc 4 points. Someone did the math last year and between reliability and strategy they caused Leclerc to lose about 180 points. Absolutely incredible how incompetent they are.
  5. The cars have added way more aero on the top of the cars this year compared to last year, which means more dirty air. There’s always the least amount of aero/dirty air in the first year of a regulation set.
  6. Leclerc lost 7 seconds in the pit and another couple seconds being stuck behind a slower Sainz for the second stint. He could be challenging Piastri for fifth right now if Ferrari could just quit fucking up. I know they won’t, obviously, but still.
  7. Leclerc is 5.7 second behind Lewis after losing 7 seconds on his pit stop. Just wonderful.
  8. Fucking hell, Ferrari. A 9.4 pit stop on a track that’s extremely difficult to pass.
  9. There was no point in making them switch. This track is extremely hard to pass. Cars could pass last year, but it’s much harder to follow this year, and it’s back to more of Monaco without walls like it used to be. Sainz was not going to get past Lewis, so they would’ve had to just swap back again causing them to lose more time.
  10. Man, Alpine’s been so pitiful the last couple races I almost feel bad for them. Almost
  11. George is such a whiny bitch lulz
  12. So McLaren is apparently the second fastest car and might be able to challenge RB at some tracks. That’s a massive jump from 7th fastest car like they were the first 10 races. These ground effect cars seem to be so finicky. If you get everything right, you can jump basically the whole field.
  13. Merc only giving their drivers one run on new hards was a completely brain dead move.
  14. Ferrari and Aston aren’t clearly faster. If McLaren keeps their form, then they will be, but they’ve only been clearly faster for one race so far and that track fit McLaren’s car extremely well. But even then, McLaren wouldn’t drop Norris or Piastri for Russell so it wouldn’t matter.
  15. Where do you think he would go? RB wouldn’t take Russell. Max hates Russell. Not to mention, if RB really was going to accept a second driver who could challenge Max, guys like Lando or Charles would probably be higher up on their list. Other than that, no car is clearly faster than Merc.
  16. And they had to use a crane, so Checo just gave away photos of RB’s brand new floor. He really is doing everything he can to lose that seat.
  17. Good luck getting the owners to agree to any roll back of the franchise tag. They'll fight that to the death.
  18. Not quite. The $200 million is the fee to pay F1 in the Concorde Agreement, which they want to raise to $600 million or more. Getting approved by the FIA doesn’t require paying $200 million.
  19. Andretti and Hitec are both legit entries with tons of experience in Motorsport and big money backing. It’s so stupid they aren’t being green lot immediately.
  20. “Hopefully he’ll call the game & have suggestions”
  21. Yeah, and I don’t give a fuck if EV is the future. It makes for shitty racing. Formula1 is a Motorsport first and foremost. And I agree that sustainabile fuels and other ICE tech could still make a massive impact.
  22. Considering that sustainable fuels are already capable of guaranteeing carbon neutral engines by themselves, is there still a need to have power units as complex as the current ones? “Personally I think not. Today we are in a transition phase, the big manufacturers need to develop hybrid and electric technologies as they are part of their sales portfolio, but I believe that, if we do a good job with sustainable fuels, we will be able to have simplified engines and with less impact on weight. It's something we'll start thinking about soon."
  23. There are rumors he turned RB down recently. That would be hard to believe though.
