  1. Well sure, but it also wasn’t like they weren’t trying to not avoid him either.
  2. I would definitely take the other side of that bet.
  3. Any time you can fire the best assistant on a hilariously terrible offensive staff, you gotta do it.
  4. Agree with this. Watching 2012 and 2010 seasons all the way through in the offseason is the way to go.
  5. Shapen and Duggan both had some of their worst performances against us, so basically half the schedule, but other than that, ousux nailed it.
  6. I’m not sure where you’re getting all these teams supporting Andretti, but I don’t think that’s the case. Most outlets are saying pretty much every team besides Alpine is against it, which would then make sense why FOM is against it if the teams are that united and adamant they don’t want Andretti. If that’s the case, then everyone’s actions make sense. And I don’t see why any team besides Alpine would want Andretti to join. Even if Andretti add some new fans and grow overall revenue, they’ll steal way more fans and sponsors from teams who currently do well in the US market if they succeed. Especially since they now have a US car maker behind them and will likely bring a US driver too.
  7. @Hiphopopotamos will you post the PFF grades for Catalon for 2020 and 2021?
  8. Not sure that's accurate. IIRC, Calipari can leave for little to nothing. He had a ton of leverage last time they negotiated.
  9. I think it's unclear. Technically, the decision to add a team is FIA's, but F1 and reporters have circulated a quote saying F1 and FIA have to agree before a new team can be joined, and I assume "F1" agreeing would be the teams voting, but I guess it could be Liberty/FOM. The situation seems murky, but it defintiely looks like FIA and F1 are having a power struggle over this. Ben Sulayem is publicly supporting the bid and saying it's up to FIA, while every team but Alpine (because they will be the engine supplier) seems against it. I want to see Andretti/Cadillac join, but I also understand why the teams don't want it. It dilutes their TV revenue (and Andretti would steal current F1 fans from all the teams on the grid, but especially the big 3 and McLaren) without proportionately growing the earnings/adding new fans long term.
  10. Not sure how long you've been following F1, but Malaysia 2012 is a great race if you haven't seen it. It was a wild race with a lot of names you'll recognize, and it was cool to see the circuit since F1 hasn't raced there in a while.
  11. I'm curious how much it would take to get him. I can't see us matching what he gets paid at Kentucky, but he'd definitely have to make more than Sark. I guess a lot of it depends on how bad he wants out there, and how high his view is of the Texas Basketball program.
  12. We'll never know for sure, but the times when the defense looked the best this year were when we played aggressive and used a lot of quarters, i.e. when we looked more like a Patterson defense than a PK defense. I think it's safe to say he played a pretty big role in the defensive improvement. PK still has a tendency to play very soft, off coverages when he isn't sure how to counter the offense.
  13. It’s seriously impossible to tell which pictures are the before and which are the after.
  14. I thought @RGBIII was Tom Herman’s dickhead half brother. Or is that @RGBIV?
  15. Did it though? Marion seems a lot more hype than results. He’s pretty replaceable and there’s a decent chance we end up with a better WR coach. Plus, if he didn’t leave this year, it would’ve been next year. If we can hold on to the guys we have, this will be better timing than him leaving before NSD1 next year.
  16. You say this as if Oats would make the same here as he does at Bama. He might not leave at all, but he’s definitely not leaving without a big raise.
  17. If a 4th year Majors is the weakest link of our OL, then we’ll have one of the best OLs in the country. He was significantly better than Hutson and Conner this year. It’s unlikely we can replace those two and still have someone available who’s better than Majors.
  18. This is a weird response to the idea of having Hutson compete with Majors, which first and foremost replaces one of the guards and only has the secondary benefit of more competition at Center. Everyone knows the Guards are the biggest weakness.
  19. The NAIA playoffs just wrapped up. The fighting Texum aggies are pouring over the film. Rest assured they’ll be poaching the best of the best from the likes of Morningside, Kansas Wesleyan, and Concordia.
  20. There’s no legal right to enforce for them to get into F1. The $200 million buy in is a requirement but doesn’t actually gain them entry. The teams would still have to vote to allow them in. And if they vote no, There’s no legal recourse for Andretti.
  21. He was better against the run early in the year, but he got completely exposed against Baylor and UW. Those might have been his worst games of the season. I’m glad he’s not back for another year. Give the young guys the reps and develop them.
