  1. “The Tigers had seemingly grabbed a whole of that recruitment in the last month.” JFC that is bad even for TexAgs writing standards.
  2. My sources tell me the growth in Weigman’s wing span from all the lost weight is really messing with his throwing motion. He’ll probably need to sit out the rest of the year to get it corrected.
  3. I don’t think so. NFL teams want disruption more than a big guy who can plug the run. Sweat looks better physically, but he lacks explosiveness and pash rush upside. Coburn has shown way more ability to rush the passer and just generally been better than Sweat this year. This is the biggest problem. Our DTs have been dominant and yet our defense still has a ton of issues. The defense will fall off a cliff next year if we keep PK but lose Coburn, Sweat, Ojomo. I think it’s some fo both. Coburn recognized this was his last chance to get drafted high. But with all three of Sweat, Ojomo, and Coburn playing significantly better, you have to put a lot of blame on the coaches for last year.
  4. This is such a laughably bad take. Almost as bad as when you were convinced Malachi Nelson was going to flip to aggy because they paid him for a visit.
  5. Crawford has been one of our worst players on defense this year. Every time he’s in the game he’s messing up assignments and making mistakes. He’s unplayable. He has the athleticism to play CB, yet the staff moved him from there to a more mentally challenging position. That was always a bad sign.
  6. I figured we’d be favored, but not by nearly this much. TCU is a 6-2 team with an easy schedule parading around at 8-0.
  7. It’s very hard to say if we go 2-1 because it would be based on tiebreakers that won’t be known who they favor until more games have been played, but it would likely be a 3 way tie that could go any way. So the only way to be at all confident in getting into the CCG is winning out.
  8. No. Not even close. That Strong/Bedford defense was god awful in years 2 and 3 with no signs of improvement.
  9. Yeah, when you run that post through the Looch propaganda filter, that’s about as negative as it gets. Just unpromptedly saying he thinks Weigman will stay at A&M.
  10. This is a really good idea. While you’re at it, do you have any other recruiting violations you’d like us to put in writing with our players?
  11. Damn, these screenshots are good. The best part is after 5 straight losses they finally realize they suck, but they still manage to be totally ignorant to reality. All their posts are about this talented freshman class and learning how to win. Jimbo bought a bunch of mercenaries and sold them on winning a national title. Those guys aren’t sticking around after a 4 win season, but those yokels think they came to College Station because they actually like A&M.
  12. Well, our offense isn’t going 3 and out in the second half…
  13. This is really fucking stupid. Worthy is one of the best WRs in the country. People’s bullshit crusaded against him about effort and selfishness are equally stupid. I’ve seen him blocking downfield plenty of times this year. He’s not the diva people make him out to be. This. He’s not at all out of the ordinary for any star WR. If anything I’d say he gives better effort blocking than a lot of them.
  14. aggy’s gonna try to give up 400 yards rushing two weeks in a row.
  15. The last one shows just how bad the Ferrari eats it’s tyres. Both Leclerc and Sainz have had massive drop off at the end of their stints ever since TD 39 went into effect after summer break. They can still match RB’s pace on most tracks like they could in the first half, but their tyres fall off like crazy while RB seem to be able to make their tyres last forever.
  16. All that is true, but the coaching has been a bigger issue the last two years. Look at how terrible our DTs played last year compared to this year.it’s the exact same guys. This coaching staff wanted them to two gap and read and react, which is not what any of them do best. It made our DTs look way worse than they were. People said all offseason we didn’t have any DL talent, but it turns out we had a ton of talent at DT, it just didn’t look like it because PK failed to identify their skill set. If you look at the defense as a whole, there’s only one starter this year who wasn’t on the team last year. While it’s good that our defense has improved this year, it’s also a sign of what a terrible coaching job the staff did last year. They chose to play guys like BJ Foster, Schooler, Brockermeyer and Bush all year long. There’s no doubt our defensive talent sucked last year, but the coaching staff still massively underperformed. And we have a few talent issues on defense this year, namely edge, but that’s also the coaching staff’s fault for failing to address that two years in a row. We have the talent to be playing way better on defense than we are. The talent issues are definitely a big problem but, this coaching staff hasn’t coached anywhere near to the talent level they have.
  17. I don’t think there’s any way they can afford to buyout Jimbo and his assistants and pay buyouts and salaries for a new coach and his assistants by the end of next year. That would mean having to have around $40 million in cash within a few months plus paying a new coach top of the market salary while also paying Jimbo $7mm per year. Unless of course they issue some more bonds for the stadium or Sharpe finds 8 figures of disaster relief funds just sitting around somewhere.
  18. Strong had a good D for one year when it wasn’t his guys. Our defenses were terrible from there on. He was nowhere near just a good OC away from being good. And the primary issue with our defense the last two years haven’t been talent. Both defenses would have to be performing at a much higher level before talent becomes the limiting factor. on top of that, PK is a terrible recruiter, so some of the talent deficiency is on him. We needed to pull a guy like Sanders from the portal, but PK couldn’t get the job done. Our coaching on D has been shit for two years now. the problem is way more on the side of coaching than talent. Patterson is not our DC, and he’s not functioning in that role. If GP was actually the DC in function, our defense would look very different. We have PK as our DC and it’s a problem, just like it was last year.
  19. Holy shit. +200 is insanely low odds for a guy who’s owed over $80 million if fired. Usually the next coach fired odds don’t go under about +350 and that’s without record-setting buyout amounts.
