  1. Lando’s performance might be one of the worst I’ve ever seen from a podium finisher. Qualified P6 with by far the fastest car, started past his grid box and got a penalty, couldn’t pass Leclerc on hards for lap after lap, including a huge lock up, then couldn’t pass Russel on old softs who was having all sorts of brake and gear box issues. Meanwhile Oscar is miles in the lead just chillin for an easy first place.
  2. Exactly. McLaren being fast is the entire explanation for why Lewis is 6 tenths off his teammate. Makes perfect sense.
  3. I guess Lando decided to answer it for them. Terrible last lap by Lando. He’s just not very good under pressure. What happened to Lewis? Did he get a time deleted or was he just off?
  4. McLaren is going to walk this one. They’re so strong on rear limited tracks. It’s crazy.
  5. Like I said, an old tweet with shitty formatting was a huge step up for him.
  6. That and it's the middle of a triple header and the teams have a boatload of data on Bahrain because they usually do testing there.
  7. Take it easy, Tex. That qualifies as like a top 10 all time post for 6th Street.
  8. Considering your carnal encounters with KKL, Dolores seems right in your wheelhouse.
  9. It’s true Ferrari didn’t expect to be on the pace right away, but the double strategy blunder in Australia and the double DSQ in China means they already threw away about 40 points even if they were off the pace.
  10. Listen, I think we can all agree that if I didn't channel my inner Helobious yesterday, we don't have ginger Sean Bradley committed today, so you're all welcome for landing us a much needed Center. It's great and all that Miller got one lucky commit, but he's still the love child of Rodney Terry and Shaka Smart. He makes Charlie Strong look organized and Tom Herman seem likeable. He's destined to fail, and there's no fucking way he lands Traore or any other big time transfer.
  11. Miller’s not exactly lighting it up on the recruiting trail.
  12. That was one of the more boring races I can remember. These cars just lose way too much downforce following in high speed corners. It’s becoming a major issue.
  13. Max just reminding all of us he's an all time great even if he's in a bad car. George and Kimi qualified 5th and 6th, but Kimi was about .8 seconds off George on most runs during quali. George flubbed his last Q3 run and Kimi put it together, but he's still .3 off George. I think George will be very flattered by having a rookie teammate this season. The Merc actually appears to be the second best car. It'll be interesting to see how much Kimi gets up to speed by the end of the year. Ferrari still seem to be a bit of a inconsistent mess. Lewis is well off the pace again. Nice job by Charles to take advantage of George screwing up and grabbing 4th. That was the highest he could've got today. Unless there's a lot of weather and maybe even then, I see McLaren having significantly better race pace than everyone else. It'll be interesting to see if Lando and Max fight early on. Could allow Oscar to get another win.
  14. I think you might need to readjust your expectations for ole Trev. His last two hires are an assistant baseball coach with no HC experience who's currently managing one of the worst seasons ever considering the roster, and a HC at Samford who was making less than some HS coaches. Even a meh hire like Moser looks to be way better than what Alberts is capable of.
  15. Jalon Walker at #5 overall is higher than I've seen anyone else list him. He's on the small side at 6'1, 240, and a lot of people have concerns if he can hold up at edge full time. I assume Jeremiah thinks he can in order to have him #5 overall. Walker can also be useful at off-ball LB, but he's not good enough to get #5 overall there. Someone like Flores could move him all over and make great use out of him, but top 5 guys usually have a clear position and don't need exotic scheming to be great. Jeremiah has Golden as his #1 WR, #16 overall. TMac is #2 at #18 overall. He has Barron at #11, down 3 spots from last ranking. Any pick in the top 15 would be a great outcome for Jahdae. Banks is down to #31, but Jeremiah says he can stick at LT. Kind of a weird eval. Most of the time Banks drops it's due to evaluators thinking he's a G. I'm not sure I've seen anyone else say he can stick at LT and having him nearly that low.
  16. It seems like the combo of him going to UT and knowing just how psycho and broken their culture is plus how bad their AD is right now would make him realize it's a bad idea. They've had two high profile coaches voluntarily leave in the last 8 months. That's absolutely unheard of for a P4 school with their athletics spending. But Beard is also insanely vindictive and arrogant, so maybe the chance to get revenge on CDC and his belief he can make any situation work will overcome that. Whether he stays at Ole Miss or goes to A&M, I doubt he stays at either program very long. He'll jump for a better job the second he gets a chance.
  17. I won't be shocked if Beard takes the A&M job, but I also won't be surprised if he's just using A&M to get a huge raise and NIL commitments from Ole Miss. He's been building up Ole Miss for two years now, just got them to the Sweet Sixteen and will have a better roster next year. Taking the A&M job would be a step backwards roster/program-wise, and both are just stepping stones to a better job. Maybe the opportunity to get revenge on UT and whatever insane salary aggy is offering will be enough for him.
  18. If your program is already a smoking crater, can you really make a program-cratering move?
  19. Yes, people like our "smart" friend in this thread are drastically overreacting to an out of context clip from like his freshman year. Tmac is in no way a diva and there are no work ethic concerns with him. He said he watches film with the team, but he doesn't do a ton outside of that. WR is probably the position where watching film matters the least.
  20. You sure about that, champ?
  21. The house settlement doesn’t cap third party NIL, and schools like Texas aren’t planning to get rid of third party NIL when House payments start.
  22. Satya gets it, I’d way rather return a bunch of production from a dogshit team so we’re good in a metric that’s pretty fucking meaningless in today’s transfer portal era rather than have 14 guys drafted and replace them with studs across the board. I feel bad for teams like tOSU and UT who were top four last year, pull in top recruiting classes every year but have low returning production because all their guys are getting developed and drafted.
  23. This is a super deep RB draft and Blue still can’t run inside and has major fumble issues. 4th round would be a great result for him.
  24. Yeah, they changed their front suspension and also said last year they were changing 99% of the car or something like that, and that’s what concerned me. It’s hard to imagine a fix for this that doesn’t result in some loss of performance and they’re already way down after two races. I’m sure they have some serious gains to make with improving setup/balance, but their strategy fuck up in Australia and a double DQ in China means they have to make huge strides immediately and can’t afford any steps back. Such a colossal fuck up to start the season. It’s just so Ferrari. On to next year and hoping they nail the new regs (which I’m sure they won’t).
  25. Yeah. It's not too surprising since last year looks like it was an all time great QB draft. I've seen a lot of scouts say Ward would be graded as the 4th or 5th best QB in last year's draft, and no one else this year would be in the top 7 or 8.
