  1. This is good stuff. The telemetry is very damning. It's ridiculous the stewards didn't look at this and issue him a penalty.
  2. It should be. I don’t see how what Max did was any different than what George did to Bottas and got penalized for. I don’t agree with this because they should’ve penalized Max anyways for that conduct. For whatever reason the stewards decided Max didn’t have to give space. I think technically they would say it’s because Max was ahead at the apex, but again that’s bullshit because he was only ahead at the apex because he let off the brakes and could never make the corner. That should be a penalty every time if the inside driver can’t make the corner and shoves the other driver off track.
  3. I saw Makuba go down at one point, but I thought he came back in. Do we know what his injury is?
  4. The thing that pisses me off is two penalties correct both actions and let drivers know what Max did will be penalized in the future so you don’t have to pass off track while he’s doing his Max bullshit. Instead they only penalize Lando so Max will keep running people off track and create bad racing and other drivers will feel the need to pass off track so Max can’t keep shoving them off at every turn and sty behind him. They just compounded the problem instead of correcting both actions. The racing standards in F1 are shit and a big part of it is because they’ve been allowing (and legalizing) Max’s antics for years.
  5. USC, Kansas and Arkansas leading the country in plays that decrease win probability by 10+% certainly checks out.
  6. After thinking about it, they should have awarded Max a 5 second penalty for forcing another driver off track and a 10 second penalty to Lando for overtaking off track. that way they send a message that you can’t let off the brakes to get to the apex first with not chance to actually make the corner. They gave George and someone else a similar penalty for forcing another driver off track, and what Max did should be a penalty. The only reason Max had the apex is because he let off the brakes, meaning he had no chance of making the corner. If you do that and force a driver off track, it should be a penalty every time.
  7. Right. Not sure how I forgot that. Sort of agree, but it’s not easy to tell when that injury is 100% recovered.
  8. Why is this missing MSU? Not really surprising though. Healthy Quinn > Arch > Not fully healthy Quinn. Either Quinn is still hurt and being hampered by the oblique or we need to move to Arch. Only the coaching staff knows which one it is. My guess is the first one.
  9. Welcome, fellow masochist. Great race for Ferrari. Definitely the strongest car. I’m not sure either Carlos or Charles could have won if they didn’t get ahead at Turn 1, but good job by Charles taking advantage of it. It’s crazy to think how close Ferrari would be to winning the WCC if Carlos doesn’t crash in Baku and crash in Singapore qualifying (which screwed up his and Leclerc’s qualifying). That was about a 30 point swing with those two incidents.
  10. Yeah, the OL was bad, but a big part of it was Quinn ripping too deep or scrambling into pressure. Banks’ first sack was on Quinn. Banks stopped the first move by the DE then drove him 8 yards past the LOS. That should be a win for Banks, but Quinn was sitting 8 yards deep with a clean pocket so it turned into a sack. Quinn refused to stay in a clean pocket or step up into a clean pocket all night and it made a poor night from the OL turn into a terrible one.
  11. I can read. I’m not sure you know what overthrow means.
  12. The goal posts have really moved from your first post where all of Arch’s bad plays were the OL’s fault.
  13. Other than Arch having all the time in the world and completely missing a wide open receiver on third down, right?
  14. I agree with this. He’s good, not great. His lack of mobility, inability to navigate the pocket or handle pressure really hurts us against good to great defenses. I still think he’s our best QB this year by a good bit and you keep playing him all year, but it’s hard to believe we have a national title ceiling with him at QB. He hasn’t shown anything to believe he can play consistently well against 3-4 good defenses in a row in the CFP.
  15. This is such a stupid post. He had over 400 yards of offense with no turnovers. He’s not responsible for our running backs fumbling twice and our defense giving up 37.
  16. This is some really good analysis. If Quinn performs the entire game like he did in the first quarter he played after being out for a month with an injury, which would result in Quinn playing by far the worst game of his entire career, then Texas will probably lose. Do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to?
  17. Agree with this. Every fan's first idea for defense is to play press man and get to the QB with 4, but there's a reason that basically no college defense actually runs this. Between motion, rub routes, bunch formations that don't allow pressing and tight alignments combined with the significantly wider hash marks in the NFL. It's way too easy to isolate a safety on a guy like Isaiah Bond with no help or run a mesh route that leaves him wide open with room to run. In other words, Quinn doesn't have to hit a single deep ball to kill press man coverage. On top of that, our OL, and specifically our OTs, are way too good in pass pro to play press man consistently.
  18. This is some impressive head in the sand shit right here. It wasn't a rule change. The braking device was always illegal. Also, the FIA always goes to the teams first about this before they make any public announcement, just like they did with the Ferrari engines in 2019. Ferrari's pace dropped off way before a public announcement was made. Same thing happened with Red Bull. Max finished first or second in every race up to the British Grand Prix on 7/7. Since that race, his pace has dropped off a cliff and has usually been finishing around 5th place over 20 seconds behind the leader. There's a very clear correlation between Max's huge decrease in pace and when the FIA started investigating this issue. Now Red Bull has admitted to the ride height device and said they changed their car after discussing with the FIA.
  19. Leaving out the team that pretty much always bends the rules and just had a huge loss in performance right after the FIA "clarified" you can't have an asymmetric braking device is a weird move. More specifically, an F1 journalist is reporting that Red Bull is the team being accused of cheating by other teams.
  20. Yeah, that won't be an easy win for them, but SCar's weak OL against A&M's DL will be a problem. Sellers will have to make a lot of off schedule plays. Still though, SoCar being your toughest road opponent all season is a joke. A&M is probably the 6th or 7th best team in the conference, but they have a good shot at making the title game because they have the easiest SEC conference schedule when you take into account opponent strength and home vs. road games.
  21. Right. A coverage bust on a wheel route is completely different than the OP claiming our CBs were getting burnt deep multiple times by OU. OU barely had any completions over 10 yards and almost all of them were when we were playing zone or on the last drive of the game. Huh? Muhammad was right there with the WR the whole way and then he pushed off right at the end. Even still, it was good coverage and there was very little room for a catch to be made. Definitely not an example of him getting beat deep.
  22. Ehhh maybe. They're looking very beatable and still have to play at Tennessee and at LSU, plus the Iron Bowl at the end of the season. They could pretty easily end the year with 2-3 losses in conference. Assuming we beat UGA, Bama at LSU and LSU at A&M are the two games that will determine who makes the conference title game. LSU and A&M have 0 losses in conference. A&M has been gifted an unbelievably easy schedule. They don't have to play Bama, UGA, Ole Miss, or Tenn and they get LSU and Texas at home. The toughest road game they play all year will be at South Carolina.
  23. Did you watch the same OU game as the rest of us?
  24. “Gig em Dawgs!” What a bunch of fucking losers.
  25. Gonna pat myself on the back on this one. I thought it was crazy you could get UT +3 at almost even odds in the middle of last week. Now the line has swung 8 points. (Ignore anything I said about Iowa and UW). Looking back at these lines is also pretty interesting. Turns out Vandy is legit, and Bama has critical issues that aren't easily fixed. The lines didn't adjust nearly enough to the Bama-Vandy result for either side. Now that Vandy won and Bama easily could have lost to SCar, I'm assuming the lines will be adjusted for both teams moving forward.
