  1. Mind has zero awareness in the pocket. It is fucking obvious that he has yet to catch up to the speed of the college game.
  2. If that is the case it should point out the officiating from the last couple of meetings. You know, Brought to you by “The Vision Center. Helping morons see the obvious shit”.
  3. I had forgotten about that, as I heard that too.
  4. Air Force with a solid 8 yards of passing at the half? You just don’t see that very much these days.
  5. Not saying you’re wrong. But they are a single play from being 3-0, demolished Stanford, and are on their third QB. I’m fucking surprised they are even competitive.
  6. Damn dog is bad ass looking. I would like to have one, and would if it wasn’t so damn hot where I live.
  7. After watching his presser it is hard to not like the guy. He seemed delightfully happy to just get a chance to be an NFL QB. Maybe it is bullshit, but it came across as sincere.
  8. It is no different then an NFL team hiring a new GM. He wants “his” guy. Unless the incumbent has a stellar won loss record, he should start packing light. Because new management will always have doubts about someone else’s hire. And that is to a degree true in almost all businesses.
  9. Why? Because New England failed to do due diligence on what everyone knew to be a high risk? That stupidity is on them. It didn’t take the SI writer a week to uncover what he did. And I’m sure New England has the same, if not better resources then a beat writer at SI. Fuck em, they signed him.
  10. I apologize, but I’m not the fan of MM in the same way some of you are. I have met the guy a few times, and by most accounts he is a decent guy, and I get his ties to the university. But egregious and constant self promotion is verboten in my playbook. Especially in this case where he has consistently hung his hat on his efforts of philanthropy in Louisiana. Yesterday was one of the few times he didn’t throw out all he has done for New Orleans. And why he takes the kids there. Now, had he actually “played” football at Texas it would come across a little different. As it is, he simply looks like a kid (albeit wealthy) with nothing else to do but show his self proclaimed spirt. And do a lot of “look at me”.
  11. Meh, I offer my congrats. It was a good game. However I wouldn’t mind playing them again. Between the odd choices Tom made early, not having a RB, and the mystery of how their D managed to cramp whenever we moved the chains. Yeah, I would like a fresh 60 minutes.
  12. Difference in the game. LSU was poised to Sam’s play, and their game planning showed it. Had Texas had a legitimate RB threat in the backfield we win...it’s that simple.
  13. Meh, bunch of over reacting to a tough game. Our defense is young, but played pretty well. Last nights game hinged far more on our lack of a running back that the LSU defense had to respect. From the onset they set up to prevent Sam from doing what he was able to against Georgia. And to their credit it worked well enough. Throw in some head scratchers like not taking points when they are all but gifted to you provided the difference. Had Tom taken the points to go up 6-3 with roughly 2 minutes left in the first may have changed the outcome. It definitely would have changed LSU’s play calling. Being behind always does.
  14. Maybe for some of the more enthusiastic fans that post. To those who know the game fully understand that this will be a tough game. The temperatures, the rhetoric all add to the stress. But Texas is at home, so I say 31-28 Texas, and it is not decided until late.
  15. Is the aggy Blades related to Bennie, the old Miami DB?
  16. Ones take on the food is of course subjective, and depends on what you believe is a quick cheap breakfast. But, as I know a guy who made his bones owning a dozen of them. And I can tell you they are a solid investment. His franchises are always neat as a pin and he is very selective when it comes to whom he brings in to manage each franchise.
  17. Fuck both those cheating ass schools.
  18. But, the other side of that were the bands that put out incredible works of art. Art in which the packaging played an integral part of the artistic process. The infrared pyramid poster included with Dark Side and the candy included in Wish you Were Here are just two great examples that perfectly demonstrate that they were great not only for the brilliance of the music. But how Floyd worked with hypnosis to create those posters in Dark, and the postcard, flaming man, etc on Wish. Same with Yes. Roger Deans art work made Yessongs and Tales From Topographic Oceans damn near a religious experience. He created an entire fucking world through a medium that added a visual experience that complimented the extreme complexity of the music itself. Reading the lyrics, seeing the photographs and reading line by line credits about who did what, and hanging a poster made the experience far more personal then simply downloading a song. So yeah, there was shit. But, buying the right album made for a hell of a nice day.
  19. I actually expected a couple of yes votes from her side that are firmly entrenched, and didn’t have as much to worry about should it become a issue down the road. To go 0-for-the entire room is a fucking surprise to me.
  20. Interesting take on those individuals who make up your community. Mind sharing your practice, so those with access can view Martindale-Hubbell and see what your peers think of you?
