  1. The BMA that killed the Stoops deal was the same who ponied up to buyout Fisher, who was a friend. That BMA is buddies with Liucci and friends with The Elk. Bjork oversold the ability to replace Fisher with another big name. Guys and their agents weren’t even taking ATM phone calls, Bjork makes the panic hire, word leaks, the BMA involved talks with Liucci and they throw a fit, the BMA calls Elko and hires him. This BMA isn’t going to let Elko get fired any time soon and they’re not going to be willing to foot the buyout. ATM is in a pickle unless they find help elsewhere and are fine alienating a major force inside their donor base, both for athletics and academics.
  2. The commentary around him being a big fatass always delivers. I’m dying reading this shit. “but he isn’t just fat. He’s morbidly obese.” Holy shit.
  3. That dude was shittalking me in the stands after OU scored with less than 30 seconds in 2023. I hope that motherfucker is still employed by them in 2025. One, because he is terrible. Two, because I want to tell him that while they’re being pummeled.
  4. I haven’t been in awhile, but I used to have to be in Atlanta a lot for business. Like every other week type shit for a few years. I got to where I would take a 6am-ish flight out and a 10pm-ish flight back on the same day if I could get away with it. It’s basically Houston or Dallas. That said, if Texas finds itself returning on 1/20/25, I’m there celebrating the wonderment of that city.
  5. I agree. I was not impressed, and I am indifferent about the gender of the folks in the booth. She was lost multiple times during the game. Like a female Joe Buck at times.
  6. He’s on the trajectory towards hanging out on his mom’s front porch in a tank top and drinking gin and juice all day.
  7. “floppy labia” is a term of derision I plan on stealing.
  8. I read over there a lot. I don’t think it’s the same guy. He’s a pretty hardcore Malcolm X of the OU boards kind of idiot.
  9. The Navy defenders are too slow to get to Hawkins. Horvath has missed on 4 wide open TD passes (one completed but the guy had to dive). It’s a stunningly infuriating combination. I don’t think I have ever seen this many missed open players in one game.
  10. If Horvath could hit the broad side of a fucking barn, Navy would be up by 21 points right now.
  11. It is honestly shocking how terrible Horvath is. Holy shit.
  12. Venables is such an idiot. You are in control of this game, dummy. Punt it at midfield.
  13. “Blake Horvath is 6th in the country in QBR.” Well, QBR is a really fucking shitty metric then.
  14. Horvath actively worked to lose the Notre Dame game for Navy. Looks like we’re getting that version again today. I haven’t seen a guy that open all season. No one within 15 yards and Horvath fucked it up completely. Terrible.
  15. Obviously, it’s early and things change in recruiting cycles, but Ojo isn’t high on the Texas board, allegedly. 1) Turntine 2) Katoa 3) Robertson and then a lot more evaluating. They’re looking for a swing guy for one of the targets on top of 2 sure OTs. Expect this to be an amazing OL class. Turntine could start on day one. He’s basically Banks. Not saying he will, but he might.
  16. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her call a game. Is she bad? Doesn’t look particularly bad, at least. Now, the sideline reporter appears to be wearing some sort of Howdy Doody mask and looks terrifying.
  17. I got 6 of 12. I got some things right on the nose and then whiffed bigly in a few spots. No one anywhere picked the Big 12 accurately. My write-ups on many of the teams and what it would take for them to make the playoffs had a really high hit rate. Of course, some shit was way off but predicting the future is hard.
  18. None? I do not go to the CR and the Daily Texan is mostly hot garbage and an echo chamber as well. Further, I find the subject matter boring. The simple reality is that Tech people in the legislature are campaigning among peers that they deserve an equal share in the PUF as a key public university in the state. We all know that’s bullshit and it’s a driver for Texas working to avoid Tech in all sports and has stopped new forays on the research and academic end as well, allegedly.
  19. I’ll be cheering for Arkansas. I feel obligated to despise them due to history and legacy, and I really do hate their “if we beat Texas and go 1-11, I can live with that” jihadist shit, but my disgust for Tech is current. Tech is actively working on getting access to the PUF. They were constantly jihading Texas just like Arkansas anyway. The Double Eagle guy thinks he’s Phil Knight with a 20th of his worth and is fucking with multiple transfers and recruits every cycle. So fuck those dipshits. Go hawgs!
  20. Thanks for the responses to my question and the obvious reason I was asking about it now. I like the dashboards during the season but it’s a twisted thing that as the models get better, injuries and exits become more plentiful and can impact single outcomes in sometimes extreme ways. I’ve been scratching my head about OU being favored in this game against Navy since the game and line was announced. OU has 24 available players on offense with 12 of them being freshmen. They can barely field an offensive line, they have 2 TEs with limited utility or experience, like 3 WRs and a true freshman with no backup at QB. Meanwhile, Stutsman and Bowman have opted out on defense. While I think Stutsman is seriously overrated and Bowman did not have a great season, they’re 2 of their better defenders. Depth on the front 7 is also a problem if someone gets hurt. Finally, you have the unusual offense for Navy. OU’s having to incorporate new personnel while working on a weird defensive gameplan. It all seems like a recipe for Navy to run away with this. The advanced stats have to be jerking off to the Bama win for the forecast to be that lopsided in OU’s favor.
  21. These never factor in injuries or roster changes in-season, correct? Is there one anywhere that does?
  22. It’s all driven by the staff, for sure.
  23. Rutgers is objectively mediocre. I took KSU in the confidence pool simply thinking that they’d be ready in the most KSU of ways. Nope. The big WRs for Rutgers, plus their backs, appear to be the way too much. It’s getting ugly.
  24. When did @Wulaw Horn start writing for Orangebloods?
