  1. OU has 12 guys in the portal so far. That includes a starting CB, their leading receiver in Sharp, Nick Anderson, their 5 star starting QB, and two OLs who started this season. That’s not nothing.
  2. Yet another obvious bust that this board had a better handle on than any service.
  3. Texas A&M now has lost 17 players to the portal and 2 declaring early for the draft. They signed 25 guys in this recruiting cycle. I have no idea how many seniors are out of eligibility and moving on. I also have no idea how many scholarship players they had this season. That all said, I’m assuming they have quite a few guys they’re going to need to transfer to ATM or they’re going to be very short again. This was a problem last year and they ended up having to jagger up. If these guys don’t crush it in the portal, they are truly going to suck next season.
  4. Update on the greatest recruiting class of all time: Looking back at The Greatest Recruiting Class of All-Time, HOLLAAAA!!!!: Walter Nolen - gone Evan Stewart - gone LT Overton - gone Denver Harris - gone Jacoby Mathews - gone Anthony Lucas - gone PJ Williams - gone Jake Johnson - gone Smoke Bouie - gone Marquis Groves-Killebrew - gone Chris Marshall - gone Bobby Taylor - gone Ish Harris - gone Ethan Moczulski - gone Shemar Stewart - stayed - leaving early - draft pick Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy - gone Conner Weigman - gone Enai White - gone Bryce Anderson - stayed Kam Dewberry - gone Le'Veon Moss - stayed Malick Sylla - gone Donovan Green - stayed -got fat and slow after being hurt, getting married. rumored to be leaving in winter 2024 window Hunter Erb - gone Martrell Harris - gone Theo Melin Ohrstrom - stayed Jadon Scarlett - stayed - 8 snaps all year Jarred Kerr - stayed - 35 snaps all year Noah Thomas - stayed Mark Nabou - stayed 21/30. Moss, Nabou, Ohrstrom, Anderson, Thomas are the only true producers to have stuck it out. Anderson was a borderline 5 star and now might not be drafted. The others were mid-to-bottom of the class and have outshined the heralded highly ranked guys. This is the kind of class that destroys a program.
  5. There are some games in there where I’m going to have a hard time cheering for anyone. USC, Duke, Tulane and Navy, sure. Bielema or the whiners from SCar? Woof. I will hold my nose and cheer for LSU versus Baylor. Michigan over Bama? Bleh. Arkansas over Texas Tech? Terrible. I don’t really care about Vanderbilt and Ga Tech, I guess.
  6. Hopefully rehab. 33 straight hours? Yeah, well…
  7. I don’t think he’s in any danger right now and his team looking like dogshit against UConn on defense probably doesn’t move the needle. Poor conference and tournament performance, obviously, probably changes all of that. The biggest thing about RT’s time so far is that it just seems like everyone is resigned to waiting for it to collapse without wanting to see that happen. Everybody likes him and hopes he can make it work. Reminiscent of Napier at UF in many facets.
  8. Just like last year, I would expect the feeling of all hell breaking loose through Wednesday this week. Not for Texas outside of guys realizing, with some help, that PT is likely elsewhere. Nonetheless, going to be kind of crazy. Texas thinks they’re ready with players lined up. I guess we’ll see. The LT from Rice is supposed to be pretty good. I haven’t watched him. OU thinks he’s theirs.
  9. How many stages of aggie sadness are there? I feel like we’re past 5 or 7.
  10. What about it? They have depth and they appear to be developing well. Start bringing in transfers there and it isn’t hard to think that it could rankle some promising players.
  11. I’ve been following a little on their boards. They seem to think Lane goes home to ASU.
  12. Clancy’s screwed up our reservation on Thursday because of event related shit. Anyone got a can’t miss place that isn’t seafood that might have something available on short notice?
  13. OU is interesting. They only signed 18 guys. 10th best class in the SEC and OL heavy. They’re rumored to have a bunch of guys leaving. Sharp wasn’t even one of them being discussed, but they’re for sure trying to add a quality TE. They have 2 DEs left who have played at all. One is R Mason Thomas and he is pondering the draft. The other is the 5 star from years who hasn’t done much. They’re deep at DT with quality as well. They have a bunch of guys named Bob and JAGger at LB. One of the “next men up” at LB is that dipshit that ran his mouth about Texas during his recruitment and hasn’t done a thing inside their program. Bowman is gone but they think they’re loaded at S. Little Bowen is their guy at one CB position. They have no concrete candidates at the other spot. They’re trying to portal over Hawkins at QB. They think they’re fine at TB with Barnes, Sawchuk, Tatum and some other dude. Seems like there might still be some portaling there. At WR, they’re hoping Burks comes back after quitting on them during the season. Same for Anthony. Both might portal. Outside of those guys, their WR is absolute trash. Allegedly Farouk might also come back for another season, but that doesn’t change my opinion. They have no talent at TE whatsoever. They have to replace their OTs and just signed several good ones. Playing them early would be an interesting choice. They lost both ST guys. They’re in a similar situation to ATM in that they don’t have a lot of guys that I would trade for, outside of DT and Fasusi. It’s kind of comical how terrible their offensive personnel is at the moment. OU is one of many teams who think they’re just going to clean up in the portal while also being poor. It’s going to be fun watching a bunch of these teams come up short and have to compromise in the land of the JAG that is most of the portal.
  14. Matt Campbell! Fuck that guy. Sanctimonious bitch choking on the big stage when there are expectations. Same as it ever was.
  15. Reed’s just not very good. They’re actively trying to bring a transfer in over him. Notre Dame would have done what they and Texas did anyway. That schedule and the mediocrity of the SEC this year really did produce a lot of smoke and mirrors for the aggies. The money is fatigued and hoping they really are “that close”.
  16. Auburn board. Made me laugh:
  17. It is time to send linux elsewhere. He’s a worthless piece of shit. He’s actively trying to shit on NIL generally and that of NIL locally. He’s pumping misinformation and he’s antagonistic. I’m negging him without consideration until he leaves or gets crowdsourced. He’s a worthless piece of shit and he’s actively working against this board.
  18. Don’t walk into a movie and start asking questions, Donnie. Go do your own work if you have shit to figure out.
  19. The program is a wildly diversified now, as planned. Guys carrying the load in prior classes deserve a ton of credit. They were major players in limited circumstances this year too, but the foundation is now far more secure. Some schools have asked for conference regulations, out of desperation and being pussies. There’s nothing to stand on in that regard. Greg Swaim died last week. Read something on it. Kind of crazy. I thought it might have been made up, similar to most of what he published. But no, that lying blowhard is actually dead.
  20. I don’t think the NCAA is going to suddenly go after the bag game after being dickless regarding same when they actually had some power.
  21. Regarding some instances this cycle and going forward - some groups are still presenting the big bag drop versus the legit NIL approach. They can’t afford a sustainable program on the levels of Texas or Ohio State, but they have some cash to throw around. Sometimes it works. Florida had pooled some money for Napier’s buyout. Kiffin punted, so they deployed the cash in another way. Worked against us in one spot and other schools too. ATM is always looking for that angle because it is cheaper and can shortcut a recruitment. USC put up some whoppers out of desperation. It’s not a legitimate approach. Texas will lose some recruitments looking forward where this approach can work for short sighted people involved. There are some very dirty HS coaches out there, btw.
  22. If they fire Gundy, this will be there Mike Leach Maneuver and I will laugh my ass off. Good luck with aaaaaaaallllll that, okies.
  23. Ha. No mention of Banks and Choice is pretty silly.
  24. People who have seen Atkinson in person say he is the truth. Anthony Hill-level impact recruit at LB. That one is going to be a bloody rock fight if he drags it out. He is likely #1 or #2 on Texas' list across the nation along with Turntine. It's early, but that dude looks fucking awesome.
