That is the current case with USC as well. USC is about to land multiple guys though, so doubt it holds through tomorrow. -
Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out

I used to view Michigan as sort of a mirror to Texas in the north. No more. That cheating shit and them defending it and trying to gaslight everybody turned me off. That said, they're fine to be doing what they're doing from our perspective, but I sure as hell wish they were attacking the OSU recruiting class rather than going with a gunshot approach. I am tired of Ohio State in every possible way. A shitty fanbase, a shitty state, a shitty coach, the sense of entitlement, their cheating, and their 120+ years of almost constant success being the big bad brand in the middle of the most boring part of this country. -
Aggie said: We literally play the schedule card every opportunity lol Who knows if they do .. but I don't think we make the playoff with their schedule either You have to really wonder if playing a harder schedule is worth it if in the last 30 years there are no trips to Atlanta, and only one trip to the BIGXII title game. Florida St and Miami became powerhouse programs in the 1990's when they were the only big dog football programs in the ACC and BIG East. Would you rather be the big fish in a small pond, or a big fish in a huge pond with other big fishes? Texas fled the BIGXII because they were tired of TCU and Baylor kicking their ass....so it works both ways. Texas..."FLED" the Big 12 to escape TCU and Baylor? Did we not win the conference last year? They never really do pay any attention to sticking to actual facts, do they? By the '90's and before joining conferences, both FSU and Miami were national powerhouses.

That's not what y'all are discussing. It's not the most topical issue. Where goes are going and who Texas might be losing or flipping are far more topical right now. Finally, we've discussed the bomber types swooping in and changing everything for years. Knight has been a central discussion item across multiple recruiting cycles. Ellison doesn't change anything and it's to be expected. Texas still has the machine it needs for most situations and those guys aren't taking everyone. The Yellawood guy is no different at Auburn. If Texas ultimately successfully woos Dell or Musk into participating, we're good on that front as well. Nothing new here besides y'all getting silly about your comparisons and disagreements regarding ownership requirements, etc. -

Zion Williams and Walter Mathis, one, the other, or both, would be the kind of petty shit I could see Sarkisian enjoying. I'm here for it. Can you two goobers take this shit somewhere else? We are here on Signing Day Eve and Sydney is sending Wulaw spiraling on some ownership/GM fantasy discussion. Good grief. -

Florida State currently has the 34th rated recruiting class by On3. The rumors are swirling that they're going to lose their top two remaining commits by the time the week is over. Soloman Thomas (IOL) is heading either to LSU or UF. Kevin Wynn (DT) has everyone and their mother pushing for him but Georgia appears very confident. -
I've spoilered the Dawgs 247 article on Humphrey, with telling comments from Smart. There's been attitude problems and he tried to leave last year. You have to really believe you can sort the guy's bullshit in order to take him, but he's not a criminal or anything. Sarkisian has taken these sorts before with mixed results.

In reading a long thread on the big USC 247 board, they have a couple of alleged insiders who are saying that they're about to have a mass exodus, much like what they're saying over on the LSU boards. Is this the year in which this type thing actually happens? We hear rumors but never fully see anything come to fruition, unless I'm forgetting one or you want to count ATM's last year. Could be fun.

Clemson looked smaller and slower than SCar this past weekend. The game shouldn't have been close. Now Swinney is claiming that they have a complete roster, only taking 14 players in the 2025 class and focusing on roster retention, saying he won't be losing any starters to the portal. Now, Swinney is talking at his press conference about being the first 3 loss national title winner and causing everyone to have to re-write all of the mean things they've been saying about him. Clip below. I really despise this disingenuous gasbag. This is the second week in a row in which I'm going to be rooting for Clemson to win a game that they won't, because I'd like some chaos and to see the SEC get rightfully taken down a notch. On the flip side, while cheering for them feels a little dirty, it's always satisfying to see this dum dum lose.

Well, it's a point, maybe, but not the point. Regarding the Gerry note, is it news to you that recruiting guys talk to players and their camps directly? -
The Fisher Maneuver was pulled with the Kelly contract, I believe. Like so many other schools, they're fucked for the time being if the coach doesn't work out. LSU can't compete in basic NIL efforts, much less the more radical ones. They're not going to find $61M under the couch and I don't think they have enough money to siphon off from children's hospitals or state-run construction projects to afford that level of grift. One of many late stage Saban takes that didn't hit as well as the DLs they'd been taking.

They didn’t post a name so the notion from you is to just fucking float one randomly? Go DM with Ketchum about it. -
Furtherfurthermore, the $20.5M, I believe, is to be spread across all sports and will Title IX fangs and claws attached to it.

I don’t know anyone on the Tech end and my buddies in and around CFB are either not connected with Tech either or they have an actively hostile relationship with people involved there. So, no clue once the guy signed.

Unless something has changed very recently, they don’t want Savea back unless they’re desperate. Texas NIL did not make anything resembling a 7 figure offer for Phillips. Shipp’s a proven liar and this reads like more nonsense or someone lying to him in Kelly’s world. Raymond isn’t exactly a high character guy, so that could well be the source. Just bullshit. -

I get it, man. I empathize. I know from personal and family experience what the hardships of autism can be for a person. One of the bigger issues can be rigid framing of possible circumstances and outcomes and not being able to comprehend that if black and white expectations aren't met in the end, shit still happened anyway. Your mental deficiencies are your own concern. though. If you can't properly educate yourself on subject matter, like I said, fuck off. No one is interested in reading your terribly uninformed takes presented in a smartest-guy-in-the-room manner. -

Regarding MTerry, the problem for Oregon is ... well ... Oregon. They can't move Eugene any closer and they can't make the weather drier or warmer. So what is Knight's offer? Double the money + and then free utilization of private jets? Move the family all there? Whatever the case here, the Oregon offer is substantially bigger the Texas' on the money end. What's the kicker got to be to win that recruitment for the ducks and Knight? If they don't have that sorted, I assume Texas moves the needle to get closer and wins the effort. -

It's not helpful when you form your thesis on unfounded assumptions and then dig your heels in when challenged. You haven't done the work to understand how the prior bag game black market worked, and you haven't done the work to understand how NIL currently works now and the differences between the two. I tried to help. I wrote extensively on the bag game at Barking Carnival. I helped Yahoo on a story about it with Lache Seastrunk, Willie Lyles, Chip Kelly and Oregon, albeit indirectly, and that story was published and went viral. I've written extensively about the black market and NIL on this board and Shaggy for more than a decade. All you had to do was read along and have some humility about who knows what in a reader/writer relationship. Instead, you've surface-skimmed info and articles when it suits you, ignored facts slapping you in the face on this site, and just assumed your wicked intellect would uniquely take you to the correct conclusion while "they" just didn't get it. This subforum literally possesses the source code creators for what is now the blueprint for how collectives function. That source code was crafted in the fires of rampant cheating, via 10-ish players mostly across the southeast, as a means of destroying it once the NIL gates were unlocked. With a plan and a willingness to take serious risks in the process, we kicked the fucking gate open and it's been a blast for most of us ever since. Nothing is asked of folks here except to avoid doing exactly what you are doing. You can have your own opinions, but you don't get to have your own facts. Now fuck off. -

From Georgia 247 mods below. They seem to view JTerry as a given and bizarrely mention Texas as creeping into the McLeod recruitment. I think they're mixing some things up, but who knows: Benjamin Wolk Today is a day when a lot of things go down, so there's likely to be changes before I finalize my mock class late tonight. But here's the intel on what we've heard about the remaining position groups with ongoing intrigue: -Running back: There has been some chatter about a potential third back, whether that be Jamarion Morrow or Anthony Rogers. Rogers has been trending to OSU since he decommitted from Alabama. Morrow took official visits to Georgia and A&M this fall. It's A&M who has the most buzz this late in the process coming off his visit there last weekend. There's been ongoing communication with Georgia, but the Aggies are who I predict to pull off that flip. -Offensive line: I'm not anticipating an add here, but there are a few in-state OL who fit the mold that the Bulldogs are still speaking with in the final hours. -Defensive line: This is where the most movement is going to be this week, and there are three names — Justus Terry, Kevin Wynn, Jeramiah McCloud. I continue to think this is a 2-out-of-3 situation. Terry doesn't decide until Friday, however (though the Dawgs might get answers before the general public), so that makes for an interesting debate on how to handle the other two. My sense is Georgia has put more recruiting energy into Wynn in the final stages. While McCloud has been viewed as a gimme for Georgia for weeks, Florida is still around and Texas has snuck in here late to keep it competitive. There's some optimism around Florida holding onto McCloud. I'm told this one has gotten more interesting than expected late. Wynn is a Georgia, FSU, SC battle. If it wasn't for Georgia being Georgia and the in-state pull for a top DL, I'd favor FSU holding on or an SC flip based on the intel I've gotten around Wynn's interests. That said, Georgia wants those big interior DL bodies and think that's why he's taken precedent over some of the other DL options Georgia offered late. It's too early too call who would be my second DL add beside Terry in the mock tonight. -Linebacker: It's Tavion Wallace or Christian Gass. Wallace seems more likely based on his connection to the program he's committed and how often he visited Georgia games. Flipping Gass given his relationships there and the season Tennessee put forth with its defense makes that one a tough sell late. -Defensive back: Everyone wants a big DB splash, whether that be Lagonza Hayward, DJ Pickett or Dijon Lee. I'm not likely to have any of those names in my final mock, however. If there's another DB name being kept quiet should they miss on all of them, I'm not aware of it at this time. Spending the rest of the day getting answers for the mock and prepping for tomorrow. -

They like January and Hills. Charles, should he come, is a high quality recruit. Outside of that, you're hoping Mitchell stays, they hang onto Sharma, then land a surprise recruit and land 3+ guys who are ready to play from the portal, including a difference maker.
