  1. You are assuming a level of function that doesn’t actually exist for that program.
  2. Ha. Exactly. I have a lot of tv and movie lines that I slip in for fun. That one is rarely caught.
  3. The best way to put it is that no one should give a shit. But you guys inevitably will, so, okay. I get it.
  4. It’s not Jonah Williams. That said, here are a few things to consider regarding Jonah Williams. 1) If David Pierce is the coach at Texas, Williams isn’t coming to Texas. There is no wiggle room. 2) He profiles as a LB but doesn’t love contact. Wants to be a safety accordingly. 3) There is a notion that he’ll be a ratings boon and never matter to whatever campus he lands on as a player. I don’t want this dude and won’t do anything but laugh if he ends up at OU. Sark is a starfucker and wants the guy. Texas will pursue him to the end.
  5. The handler thought it was going to be one way, but it was the other. Still guessing OU but they just may not have the money. If they win on the deal, they have depleted the war chest for softball or gymnastics and they’ve discovered more competition in both arenas than originally forecast. That shit matters. This will be interesting. @Js1
  6. If it helps, here's a little color. The $2M number being tossed out there is total bullshit. Someone on Twitter is making that shit up. The handler is asking for more money than one school wants to pay, more than two other schools probably can pay without a bunch of pain, and what another school would pay if the guy was serious about going there. Last, best offers being rounded up now. I remain of the opinion that this one doesn't go UT's way, and discipline requires that. If it does go UT's way, all of those schools are poor and full of shit. My bet remains on OU.
  7. Hahahhahaha!! Please name a number you’d like to bet on 7 wins and I will take the under. We’ll have a fun bet to track all season. That dipshit isn’t passing last year’s total in a worse conference.
  8. Spider’s thoughts that you quoted kind of concern me. I was thinking that place was a perfect fit for him and he’d just naturally migrate over there, raising the IQ of both sites in the process. The poster demographics and behaviors are shocking. I think one of every three posters is posting under their own real name on there.
  9. What they’re telling us is they know of no reason why Texas can’t win the recruitment. The NIL is there. The depth chart space is there. The academics are there. They’re not offering up their own good vibes though, and they usually do when they have a positive inkling.
  10. Holy shit. That looks like someone at the end of their rope.
  11. Mitchell still being on this team is stunning. I think it shows us that they really, really need bodies at DT. The guy cleaned his locker out several times, supposedly.
  12. UCLA passed the hat on a big number for Toia that wasn’t really something that could be countered because the guy mostly wanted to be at UCLA. Ketchum and a person involved with funding things blew the Alexander situation up in UT’s face. The Michigan guys, and I never remember which one was … the one, always sounded like fan fiction to me. There are numerous people involved who would swear on a stack of bibles that it was happening. It’s like the Evan Stewart and Bryce Anderson stories from the winter 2022 portal period. LMK when they show up on campus, guys. There was/is plenty of dry powder for a key DT or two this period. If Williams decides on Texas, that’s where that NIL goes. If he doesn’t, it may or may not work for the 2025 class or the winter portal period this year. I wouldn’t read anything into it. OU is about to have to start two true freshmen on their DL and that’s not because those guys are so completely awesome.
  13. My teenage son goes through hot sauces, mostly Mexican styles like the hottest Valentina’s, as if they are going out of style. So we got him some hotter sauces for Christmas and we’ve been using them. Some were so absurdly hot that we just threw them away after trying them because they were ridiculous. The big winner, which I am sure is mentioned somewhere here, has been the Yellowbird ghost pepper sauce. It’s outstanding and we use it both on its own and blending it in with other stuff. Add a squeeze to Whataburger spicy ketchup and it changes the experience, for instance. Lazy and easy and delicious with fries or their hash browns.
  14. Only Mitchell is left. Meanwhile, @Codaxx is somewhere shitting himself that his throwback MLB is no longer on the roster What will they do with that package install now?!? Also, not to be redundant, but:
  15. The ghost of Darion Dunn haunts us yet again. Woot!
  16. The Garrison recruitment was never very interesting. It seemed like it was always going to be about someone showing up to meet their expectations on the NIL end, with nothing else mattering.
  17. Correct. The thing that got people the most worked up was that he called the coaching “embarrassing”. Folks here won’t like hearing the following but the defense against the poor coaching was the closeness of the final score, including Terry rebutting with folks to that point. “We barely lost!”. Okay then.
  18. The guy pissed off the AD and Terry for his comments after the loss to Tennessee. He then stood by the comments. I don’t think he’s blind. I do think he was passing on a note more than offering his own view though. That seemed obvious.
  19. In a shocking turn of events, Garrison won't be coming to Texas. He will be getting paid though.
  20. It’s not black and white like that for most players in that 5th-UFA grade. Whittington and Sweat got shitty grades last year. They were offered excellent NIL to come back and bet on themselves. They both made themselves substantially more money in doing so, and also made really good money adding that extra year via NIL. NIL is impacting the late rounds but that will simply be layered in by next year. Guys that chose to stay this year will be there next year, so on and so forth.
