  1. I know the consensus in this thread is that UT doesn't need a transfer portal OL. But if Christian Jones decides to move on, should UT bring a portal RT to compete with Cam Williams at RT in Spring Football & Fall camp instead of Cam just being handed the RT1 job?
  2. LOL at posters who thought Cojoe is a candidate to be processed in this recruiting class.
  3. TBF, it's about time Carrington finally got a DB coaching job. He's put in too much work as non-position asst coach.
  4. @Elmer_Fudd is right. These past couple seasons Okie St. has had 3-4 starting quality EDGEs on the roster, so Tracee Ford might've not been the starter for them. But UT would've definitely taken Tracee Ford on their roster to compete with Ogufho for the Buck EDGE spot. Tracce Ford was Hornable Mention All- Big 12 in 2019 & 2020: https://okstate.com/sports/football/roster/trace-ford/10279
  5. Quinn better improve this upcoming season, because I expect transfer Card to another program & ball out.
  6. Can someone post these notes that Nahlin just put out?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/day-1-transfer-portal-notebook-as-it-relates-to-texas/
  7. Gonna be interesting to see how the different portal strategies between UT (recuiting on-the-field experienced & productive portal transfer players) and other in-state Big 12 schools like TCU & UH (recruiting portal players who were highly-recruited outta of H.S., but haven't proven it on-the-field yet at the college level) will work out long term.
  8. UGA's 2021-2022 offenses doesn't scare people like the LSU 2019 offense or Bama 2020 offense, despite the fact that UGA's OC, Todd Monken, was a successful Big 12 Air Raid OC at Okie St. & Air Raid HC at Southern Miss. before he went to the NFL. The obvious difference between UGA's '21-'22 offenses and those '19 LSU & '20 Bama offenses is that LSU & Bama had NFL 1st round draft picks at QB1. So I assume that's what's holding UGA's offense back.
  9. UGA's QB1 Stenson Bennett transferred from different colleges multiple times. I don't think he's special or anything. He's just solid dependable experienced starting QB. I expect UGA's offense to really take off if they ever have a legit star QB.
  10. Can somebody post Gerry Hamilton's Sunday Morning notes?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/sunday-recruiting-thoughts-huge-week-ahead/
  11. @closetojumping Has always said that Hicks' lack of interest in UT was strictly about scheme.
  12. LOL, I remember seeing some UT fans whine about Sark & UT's current season & how Sonny Dykes was able to win year 1 at TCU. Just completely ignoring the fact that TCU's entire starting lineup on both sides of the ball are experienced Juniors & Seniors. I wonder how Gary Patterson gotta be feeling knowing that if TCU had given him 1 more season, he would've had a big bounce back year.
  13. Seeing as this was voted by the coaches, when will we see the All-Big 12 honors from the media?
  14. Based on the recent DL offers, I'm going to assume UT won't push for Benton.
  15. Don’t forget about Grant Calcaterra & Austin Stogner. If Spencer Rattler had lived up to his potential last season & didn’t get benched for a true freshman in Caleb Williams, you could probably add Brayden Willis to the list of standout pass catching OU TEs under Lincoln Riley. If so, what’s holding up the UT staff from offering Pimpton already?
  16. Also IT reporting Texas has been in contact with DL Daemian Wimberly of Austin Vandegrift since the playoffs started and they want to get him on campus for a visit. https://www.on3.com/db/daemian-wimberly-150278/ https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/daemian-wimberly/JmLVIrGaD0Wl4ndMFJxR_g/default.htm Impressive senior year stats.
  17. According to TFloss, IT is reporting that Texas coaches will head west later this week to check on WR Ja'Kobi Lane, WR DeAndre Moore, Jr., & TE Duce Robinson. Lane is the WR the staff covets most at the moment. As I said in the '23 transfer Portal thread a couple hours ago, Lane has got to be the biggest WR priority seeing as UT's other '23 WR commits/targets & WRs on the current roster are mostly smaller Z & slot WRs.
  18. Does Jamier Johnson entering the portal mean that 2021 class CB from Dallas Skyline (or maybe another Dallas ISD high School) will stick around despite him getting in trouble multiple times?
