  1. It's cheaper than Invisalign by a great deal and works the same, but don't expect that to remain true. They are going to need to show revenue after their horrible IPO...
  2. I'm a millennial and I have kids. What interests me more than rehashing the same generational cool contests that have been going on for literally a decade now, is to look at how the younger generations are changing or trending. Just my perspective, but I see the millennial's as being more dynamic than GenX who have largely became who they are and stayed that way (for good, bad or indifferent). Millennial's, maybe by necessity (recession, etc.), seem to have adapted and are more flexible and prone to evolving (or devolving, as it were) over time. This interests me in a political way too because I can see millennial's taking on the persona of Boomers the older they get, the more status and wealth they achieve, and youthful idealism gets passed down further the supply chain to their children's generation. I guess my thesis is that Millennial's are baby Baby Boomers and just don't know it yet.
  3. You might surely am be tired, but I don't feel no ways tired!
  4. Bought a 12 quart chili pot and a new wooden spoon to break in chili season 2019. I never make less than 6 lbs of meat/chili because as you guys know...it's great fresh, but it's even better somehow the next day.
  5. I think I nailed it! I recently saw Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan (2010) and that movie felt more similar to The Joker more than anything else: 1) an unreliable narrarator 2) POV of the descent into mental illness/insanity. 3) Crazy Mom and Single Mom/Child dynamic 4) Gritty/low-fi camera work of NYC including lots of subway shots 5) Good-to-great acting Black Swan is more surreal obviously and Aronofsky is a much better director and I enjoyed rewatching Black Swan more than I think I would The Joker (of which I have no desire to see again).
  6. This is a good idea because the kid's are how I stay somewhat current to this stuff too. I said in the Into the Spiderverse thread that my kids watching the movie so much got me liking his Sunflower song (and no offense but I didn't like the song posted above). The Lizzo song is again not for me either.
  7. Noticed his biceps looking pretty great (NWTIAWWT) in the scenes at the bar with his cousin and Gilfoyle.
  8. Didn't see this posted before my post, so let me just postface and say "no offense and just my opinion, but..."
  9. Yesterday, the Rom-Com Beatles movie. It was so lame.
  10. Well I'm just watching it now and it's close at the first break.
  11. It is my personal opinion that people who don't like SAP (or Oracle, or WorkDay or any other ERP) are not executives but are SME's who have to use it day-in-and-day-out.
  12. Teens Titans Go is amazing. There are a handful of kids shows I can watch and that is one of the best. Others are Boss Baby Back in Business (my favorite) and Trolls the Beat Goes On (Don't knock it until you have seen it, seriously!)
  13. Not to pick on your or quibble about this, but I feel like this is the other side of the coin that cuts the other way from the Scorsese "Marvel isn't Cinema"-gate.
  14. Action Bronson is in this; I'm in.
  15. WorkDay acquiring ScoutRFP is a shot at SAP/Ariba. WorkDay Rules. SAP is cool. You guys are funny.
  16. You are describing PeopleSoft, not SAP. ::eyeroll::
  17. If your butt itches, you have butt worms. I learned that from Surly last week: https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/index.php?/topic/12114-add-cattle-eye-worm-larvae-in-your-eye-as-another-thing-to-fear/&tab=comments#comment-1787386
  18. Flew into Great Lakes area last night after some delays, right into the teeth of this stuff. Then drove 60 miles which took 2.5 hours. Texas has it easy.
  19. This. I like the music and even had Posty Malone grow on me or whatever his weird name is. Something something, oooohhh oooohh, she wanna ride me like a broom, something something sunfloweeeerr.
  20. I travel a lot and have kids but also the job gives us the ability to have a pretty good life on one income. The decision sometimes comes down to; a) as a wife, do you want to stay at home with the kids? Then I’ve got to be on the road. b) you want me home? Then I’ll get a job in a cubicle and grind out my $100k like a schlub, but you also need a job. Also, the Disney World Trip, Bahamas and Skiing are out because 80% of that was subsidized by airline miles, Marriot points, Avis points and credit card points.
  21. Geez. Honestly, it sucks to cut the check, but once you go private school, you really can’t ever go back.
  22. Why are TUMI’s so expensive? I can’t justify spending $800 on luggage. Just can’t do it.
  23. Wow, was just going to post that i bet this week is a mess. I am supposed to be in Chicago on weds.
