If Arch couldn't go, then half this board would get what they were demanding immediately after the Florida game.- Week 7 2025: Texas at Kentucky

That's my thinking. We showed improvement, and that's damn sure appreciated, but let's not get caught up in, "wow, the OL's fixed; we're gonna fuck shit up!" that seems to be going around with some folks.- Tell Me About Texas a&m

Agreed. Which begs the question, why did it take Sark that long to learn and craft a game plan like the one we saw Saturday? A lot of this board has been begging for that for weeks now. (Or, in Surl-speak: "Come on, dude, we're pretty fuckin' dumb and we saw it.")- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible

Fowler's not a fan. Most of his comments about the 'Horns are derogatory. Herbie's "cesspool" quote notwithstanding, he's not as down on us as Fowler is. But to compensate for enduring Fowler, we'll be blessed with numerous wide-angle shots of that cow, Holly Rowe. My suggestion would be to avert your eyes before she comes on camera, because like Medusa, she'll turn you to stone. Hmmm, maybe our DL could look her square in the eyes--after Florida, we could use something like Fordham's "seven blocks of granite."- 2025 Game Week 6: RRS Texas v OU
I've just decided to get all my inside betting touts from AI. It's never wrong. No telling how rich I'm going to be. As an example, below is an excerpt from Google's AI Assistant when I asked why the line has moved back to UT -1.5: (You can't make this stuff up, folks--well, obviously AI can . . .) The betting line for the Texas vs. Oklahoma game has shifted back to favor Texas, with Texas now listed as a 1-point favorite as of Saturday morning. This is a flip from earlier in the week when Oklahoma became a favorite due to the uncertainty surrounding the health of Texas quarterback John Mateer. As his status was upgraded to probable, the odds initially shifted in Oklahoma's favor before moving back to Texas.- 2025 Game Week 6: RRS Texas v OU

The number at my site's gone from 'Horns -3 to blowu -1, a 4-point swing. (It went from -3 to -1, then held there until today's late flip to blowu.) The total went from 42.5 to 44.5. I assume both those recent moves are a result of Mateer rumored to be playing. I further assume, in light of our first 5 games, that blowu minus only 1 is a function of the strength of our national brand--well, that and the pure unpredictability of this game--the best rivalry in all of sport. I guess I'm going to listen to my heart, not my head, and keep my money in my pocket. Y'all?- 2025 Game Week 6: RRS Texas v OU

When it comes to front-burner controversies, message board posters tend to be either hyper-positive or condemnatorily negative—seldom, if ever, is there ever any well reasoned in-between. And that's the way it is when it comes to Sark. As with most things in life, somewhere in between is where the truth lies. Sark brought us out of the Strong/Herman embarrassment and into the light with two consecutive playoff appearances. Then, he completely and irreparably screwed the 2025 season with this inexcusable abortion of an offensive line. I'm nowhere near a Sark apologist; this is his fuck-up and it's a bad one, a tenure-threatening one. Still, looking at the big picture: track record to date, cost of buyout and new-hire, internal AD/BOR politics, availability of a guaranteed upgrade, it's pretty obvious we’re going to be stuck with him for a while, like it or not. The best we can hope for is continued Big Cigar $NIL buy-in, a better plan for next year, and good luck in the off-season portal. But that’s next year. There’s still the rest of this year to endure and . . .- 2025 Game Week 6: RRS Texas v OU

on3 says that Drevno's Wikipedia page was updated to show that he's been here since September 11th. In all likelihood, that means he's been here all this season, so we shouldn't look for any drastic changes or quick-fixes. Instead, this smells like a desperation "leak" by Sark's publicist, trying to show that Sark sees the problem and is taking steps to address it. Yeah, right. When you practice good-on-good, it's a zero-sum game. Sark & Co. evidently took those results to mean, "Since our DL is top-notch and the OL looks good against them, the OL must also be top-notch." Then a funny thing happened to the DL in Gainesville . . .- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
"Clearly, the main problem this year is the OL--no push in the run game; inability to block a 4-man pass-rush; impotence in the red zone. Equally clearly, it won't get fixed this year. It is possible that Arch can improve with experience. It's possible that Sark can get his head out of his ass and call plays to suit our personnel, rather than the other way around. I don't see that possibility with the O-Line. It appears to me that the problems with coaching lie more in talent acquisition/development than everyday X's and O's. We simply don't have the talent. We struggled in our "wins" against three spares and got dominated against teams with a pulse (Florida's questionable here). That's on both Sark and Flood. It's going to be rough the rest of this season." --Captain Obvious- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
