Prolly not. As a confirmed alkie who's had 10" of his colon removed after a few decades of abuse I can tell you that dehydration can lead to diverticulitis flaring up. It may not be a root cause but it sure as shit don't help none either. Stay thirsty my friends.
  2. That monkey came from an impoverished village and had to fight every day of his life until he made his way to the big city strip joints and got discovered by a woman with a heart of gold. Let Rinaldi cover that.
  3. What happens between a man, a stripper, a monkey, a pole and a neighborhood kid ain't nobody else's business. Them's the Monkey Rules.
  4. First year in the new house, right? Yep. With our mom dying last year I'm the only one left in our hometown and it's centrally located to the others (DFW and Houston) so it just makes sense. I've been in my house 4 months now and it'll probably be this time next year before I'm totally settled in but I'm in good enough shape to host a few folks. I told them up front that this invitation was just for the siblings/spouses (sister can't make it, she'll be entertaining her kids/grandkids in Kansas). Uncts upon a time we'd all be at our parents house here in town, 20 or more of us, never any drama, very Norman Rockwell. Mom & dad liked that but I ain't got time for that shit. Maybe another year.
  5. My 3 brothers will be at my house this year, 2 with wives so 6 peeps total. We'll do lunch (I'm cooking), the guys will pull out the guitars and do some pickin' and grinnin'. We'll watch the first half of the Cowboys game and they'll all head home and leave me in peace at halftime. We're a boring bunch.
  6. Or he wore out his welcome. Let's face it, Gary's style, such as it is, isn't exactly endearing. 10 years ago when they beat Wisky in a Rose Bowl that TCU was highly motivated for he was a hero in Ft Mirth in spite of his sweaty, crusty, curmudgeon-ness. Winning cures most ills and when that stops people start looking at personality flaws a little more closely. Pachal, the team's drug issues, some sexual assault by players, a lot of shit happened on his watch. AD can get same or better results without the headaches and do it more economically. Absolutely someone will take him.
  7. If Sark makes the switch back to Card... ? Does it give the Horns any better chance of winning?
  8. I noticed over the last couple of days that the temperature I was seeing on the display of the heater controller was continually going up. Normal range is +/- 1.5 deg with a 77.7 set point. It was at 81.5 on Friday and then last night I noticed it was at 85.6. That's when I decided to look into it. The "on" light that indicates when it's sending power to the heaters wasn't on and checking the water temp with a thermometer showed the water temp to actually be 77.1 so all good there. Of course my biggest fear was I was boiling my critters. I tried to recalibrate the controller to the temp in the tank and the lowest temp I could set it at was 80.1. Crazy. Luckily the temp is actually fine and I've ordered a new controller and a new temp probe, just because. I'll have to keep an eye on the water for the next few days and might need to hook one of the 150w heaters up direct to wall power. Guess I'll also check the heaters out soon also, the whole rig is right at 3 and a half years old so even though it's mostly solid state gear I guess there's always a potential failure somewhere. tl;dr - Can't trust shit.
  9. Yeah, we all saw that. Doyle did also say that the 3rd part of the game plan was to make Casey uncomfortable in the pocket. I don't know how much his performance today was a result of anything Baylor did or just Casey being himself. Off topic, I think OU is going to be able to light Baylor up with the deep ball in 2 weeks.
  10. Go JHawks! puke
  11. Man, I didn't keep up with Mordecai after he left town and had no idea he'd been at OU for as long as he was before going to SMU.
  12. Dillon Doyle (Baylor linebacker) said exactly this in his postgame talk with press. Almost word for word. Said Sark throws a lot of twists in but the focus was Bijan and Worthy. Robinson had 43 yds on 17 carries. Worthy really only got loose once I think.
  13. The Showgirls. Only reason I can think of.
  14. John Denver time.
  15. 'Neers win!
  16. ISU false start with 14 secs left, 10 secs run off. WVU time out. Ballgame coming up.
  17. Purdy stripped and falls on it, 3rd and long. 45 sec.
  18. ISU with 4th down and 1. ISU TO, 1:34 at WVU 42. 8 yd run, Clones still alive.
  19. Under 2, Clones in WVU territory.
  20. 'Neers punt, ISU with ball on own 33, shot downfield draws a flag.
  21. ISU fumbled on WVU goal line with 4 minutes left to play. WVU up 38-31 and driving at midfield now.
  22. Which team?
  23. Go 'Neers!
  24. Thanks.
