  1. Yeah, unfortunately this dog was more adventurous. I got the impression from the story that the family with the dog had moved to this home in the country in the last year and the dog had been visiting with the cows previously. The owners were camping when the fateful event occurred and came home to find a dog dead from a shotgun blast. They then reviewed their security camera footage and heard the blast and then saw the mortally wounded dog run into the frame a short time later. Sad deal for the dog because if you're going camping you should probably secure your animal while you're away.
  2. Well don't I feel dumb(er) now. We had a feller nearby get his golden retriever shot dead by the guy with the cattle on the place next door. Sheriff investigated and no charges filed. Not illegal in Texas to shoot them what messes with yer cattle.
  3. Hate to ruin it for ya but at the end of the story he spits.
  4. Maybe. I thought it might have just been a play on the old familiar SSS. I am of course using it to refer to a Sheridan Silver Streak. I don't participate in the other SSS, I'm more of a VIP guy now.
  5. This was my weapon of choice for many years. Lady gave me a used one in '78 or so, barrel was clogged with pebbles her grandkids had tried to shoot thru it when they didn't have pellets. I sent it off to what was then still actually Sheridan and they did a total rebuild and sent it back for I think $23. Money well spent. Kept that thing another 35 years and got good service out of it. Reconditioned the seals a couple of times. Maybe not the fastest if fps but had good knockdown power.
  6. As a kid I had a hand-me-down Daisy lever action. Me and pops were out at the farm and I was plinking away. I shot a 55 gal drum that was downhill and probably 30 yards away. *PLINK* Dad was astounded. With his old eyes he couldn't see the BB like I could, I watched the first shot miss and then guided the next one in, watching it make a sweeping arc thru the air and curve to the right. Dead eye. Drop and windage.
  7. Here it's encouraged. Yin meet yang.
  8. Plan. Organize. Resist. Neutralize. on the 4th of July. Need to get this message circulating.
  9. Work so fine it skipped the gallery and went straight to jigsaw puzzle.
  10. My attempt at copying Wyeth - "Christina's Arena"
  11. From a KWTX news story - "LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) - Lacy Lakeview’s police chief is warning parents about THC-laced candies after responding to reports about children consuming the edibles. “It’s a drug, laced with marijuana,” said Lacy Lakeview police Chief John Truehitt. “And the side effects can be very alarming.” Good police work there, Lou.
  12. Bowl of vanilla Mellorine with a splash of lemon juice over it.
  13. Apologize in advance for the derail, I get a boner every time I see the words "rabbit hole". Prolly because of Jessica Rabbit. I imagine plowing her with my ginormous pecker because that's the way I draw it. Okay, back to the UFO talk.
  14. Topgolf has arrived! Video in link is Surly relevant for a couple of reasons. https://wacotrib.com/news/local/mike-copeland-baylor-inks-topgolf-waco-deal-louisiana-crab-shack-closes-new-road-party/article_2a3c1046-ba55-11eb-8171-5f0671890cd8.html

    butt

We do have an ASSSSSSSS thread.
  17. Orca is a tough one. Obviously he can outswim a human. But the human can outrun the orca. I guess it would all come down to who was better at cycling.
  18. That picture was revealed to be faked. Still though, somebody saw something in the night sky that had lights on it. Lights. Travel 4,000,000 billion miles and hey, remember to turn the lights on so they can see us. The Wiki entry has some explanation for how the number of "witnesses" grew to be so large too. Some weren't sure if they'd seen a UFO or not, those Belgians waffled.
  19. As far as I know spaceships are usually reported as being within sizes that humans can conceive as being "normal". That meaning, a size that fits our notions of what an object carrying aliens might need to be. No walnut sized spaceships. No spaceships 3 times the size of an aircraft carrier. Planet Cornholio must be very similar to ours in many ways.
  20. So after 10,000 years of being visited by the exploratory butt fuckers the only physical evidence on the planet is in the hands of the US government.
  21. He pointed that out to me in the snek thread. With my shitty eyesight I'd probably pick it up to hit a stick.
  22. The dog is a one trick pony, a biter. If he does that one trick well he has a good chance of winning by virtue of his opponent bleeding out. Humans don't have that biting capability so how are they going to win? Striking? Twisting neck? Compression/suffocation?
  23. Called the fence guys, got the D. You his neighbor?
