Kim Mulkey to LSU
Well, I think I found out why she left Baylor - the Baptists were robbing her. "It’s reported that Mulkey made $2.27 a year at Baylor." https://www.kwtx.com/2021/04/28/salary-for-lsu-womens-basketball-coach-kim-mulkey-revealed/

In 1974 this song made the Billboard Top 100.

Nothing to see here -- just a town declaring a state of emergency before releasing body cam of police shooting!
Murders went down because more cops on the payroll? You sure about that cause and effect?

Kim Mulkey to LSU
Yeah, no idea who they'll get to fill her pointy shoes. Baylor is building a new bball arena soon and there's some talent on the team still (assuming they don't all transfer) so I guess it's an attractive job to someone. Karen Aston jump ship from Roadrunners maybe?

Time to visit Waco
Trying to keep the D out of sight, prudish neighbor. Now, if I were Bill Clinton it'd be different I'm sure.

Right. I know I've seen/heard your last name but didn't commit it to memory. Thanks man, I'll be getting in tough with them this week. Do I want to talk to B or D?

Tell Me About Baylor

Kim Mulkey to LSU
She is unapologetic about her unwillingness to compromise and I believe that what drives her more than a love of winning is a hatred of losing. I think she approaches personal relationships the same way.

The "Post a Picture You Took" thread
I watched the video of that guy "Shoestring" all the way thru, don't remember now which thread that was in but I dug it. Watching him pulling out on a train reminded me a bit of pulling out of port on a ship. Hard to put into words really but I think the sounds and the motion are what triggered the thought. Always leaving, never staying one place too long and leaving good memories behind but ready for some quiet time and the next adventure is just around the corner or over the horizon.

Yoga
I had some serious surgery in 2017 and spent the next couple of months flat on my back. It's scary how quickly the body atrophies. Stretching saved me from a dismal life. I wouldn't call it yoga but it was all yoga derived. I'm not able to go to classes and don't really know how to approach doing it solo but am definitely interested.

- Whatcha reading?
Yeah, I've taken a bit of a deep dive into Cassady as I began to realize what role he played in that era. Frankly from what I've read I'm a bit mystified by the love everyone seemed to shower on him. In "On The Road" Kerouac says it pretty plainly, the guy was a con artist and I have not found him in my reading to be a sympathetic character and yet there he was, beloved by those who have documented their adventures where he played a role. I've read probably 5 or so Kerouac books (currently reading "Tristessa") and his writing can be exhilarating in its style and flow. Like Cassady though his personal life, which has a large presence in what I've read, is not one that I'd desire to have. Lost souls, both of them.- Rep awards
Multiple reps for the same post. You get some long winded bastage like Lobo, maybe the first part makes you rage, then hey, I agree with that, Hook 'em. Then some fuck around and find out. Leave a wall of glyphs for them to decipher. Or just allow comments.- Dumb Question Amnesty Thread
Surprised they don't make one with a spermicide, seems like a no-brainer to me.- Dumb Question Amnesty Thread
How does a product like WD40 stay in business all these years? I bought a can when I got out on my own, use a spritz a couple times of year at most. Then when my dad died in '07 I inherited his can of WD40. Now I have two cans that will pass to my son when I die and then he'll have 3 cans. - Whatcha reading?
