  1. Baby Face (1933) - Barbara Stanwyck gets bored of life in rural Pennsylvania, moves to New York, and fucks her way to the top at a big bank. An interesting glimpse into what studios could get into movies before Hays Code ruined the fun for everybody.
  2. Yeah... I will be somewhat surprised if he DOESN'T win the electoral college but there is no way in hell he wins the popular vote.
  3. Yeah... Not Texas. Southlake is the DFW-area hotbed for kids making videos of themselves yelling racial slurs.
  4. I'm a big fan of the "We're going to show you how much we don't want to talk about politics on a message board by talking about politics on a message board."
  5. That wasn't throwing shit. I explained why you are wrong and you responded with ad hominem attacks but that's what we expect out of slorch. As a Tech grad you aren't equipped to do much more. Bless your cunty little heart.
  6. Ahh yes... The old "Well if they're complaining about this then that is the only/biggest problem they have" logical fallacy. I'm sure nobody unhappy about that has been financially impacted or gotten sick or had someone they know die. It's definitely not the worst thing I'm the world. It just seems weird to do an endzone dance on a message board because people are unhappy about it but slorch is gonna slorch.
  7. I love how we can trash everybody's shitty response on the DT thread EXCEPT Trump's
  8. I don't like this thing that is important to other people so I'm happy to see them upset about not getting to do it! God you're a cunt.
  9. Got bored of manhattans. Had a few dark and stormies.
  10. Gun Crazy (1950) - Some guy who is a marksman meets some chick who works for a carnival and is also a marksman (markswoman?). Things go sideways with the guy who owns the carnival so they bail out and go on a multistate Bonnie and Clyde-esque crime spree. I was entertained.
  11. We need a weekly segment of Dan's kids going scorched earth on him until we get sports back.
  12. Dan and Jake > Bob and Corby and should be in afternoon drive.
  13. ITT: The Alan Sepinwallization of tv discussion.
  14. Look guys it doesn't matter how many carcinogens you have to drink because if oil goes down more then every motherfucker who turns a wrench in an oil field won't be able to buy a King Ranch Ford F150 and that is what matters here.
  15. Picked that one up from a coworker who I also overheard tell someone that he could write everything the other person knew about something on his cock with a mop. That guy was a cornucopia of masterful bon mots.
  16. I think we proved back in 2008/2009 that we don't give two tugs of a dead dog's dick about moral hazard.
  17. The market seems to have a huge appetite for huge numbers of people filing for unemployment so if we all lost our jobs then we'll all be rich!
  18. This was the first thing that came to mind for me. I revisited Network for the first time in a long time last night and man it's great.
  19. So my routine is that I try to shut work down around 4, work out, go for a walk and then flip on the TV to see what kind of mayhem is going on once Im done with all that. I usually feel like I'm about to return to a house where somebody left a toddler unattended for a couple hours and have no idea what I'm about to see but it probably would have taken me awhile to get to "Trump threatens to unilaterally adjourn Congress in the middle of a pandemic if they don't approve his nominees" if someone had made me guess.
  20. Man, I know it's shitty they fired some workers who were trying to organize for better working conditions but who can argue with blue lights!!??
  21. No, but we can't too far away from something like that.
  22. I don't think I ever had a run in with him but he would flip out on somebody on a dime.
  23. Most people won't even hop on a plane from Dallas to Chicago let alone to SPCE right now but fuck it. Up it goes!
  24. It's grandstanding. You both post shit like this and bemoan how horrible things are (which is correct) and then pivot into how YOU'RE not like that and that you're doing good things like showering service workers with a few extra sheckles here and there. Guess what? A huge percentage of us are doing shit like that too but not all of us feel the need to stand on a table and shout "Excuse me! Hey everybody! Look at meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" about it. It's tiresome. Anyways, I will let you have the last word if you want it and then we can all get back to trashing our loathsome president.
