  1. Well I guess it’s better not to have a 4Q letdown.
  2. Yes. Doing a great job of keeping plays in front of the D. 15 yard cushions will do that.
  3. You and I see Aaron Sorkin very differently. Or maybe not.
  4. F this isnt a smart team but at 6-1 it doesn’t matter
  5. I attended Texas public school in the 70s and 80s and no one gave a shit about hair length. We could wear shorts. But the Assistant Principal got his dick hard by walking up to girls and making them kneel to prove their skirts touched the ground.
  6. Seems like every time we play Bye the slate of games sucks. At least Pedo lost in 36,739 overtimes.
  7. It's definitely indicating that a full Moderna shot is better - not sure about the half-dose booster.
  8. Yeah, that pic looks exactly like the booster I got. I was worried for a while that it looked a little janky, so thanks for calming those fears.
  9. I moved to Houston just before he left so I completely missed out on this guy, but the media here loves him. Lee Brown 2.0 to them.
  10. So how close is the nearest nuclear power plant?
  11. The message is to not get older. That's the vaccine they need to work harder on
  12. Yeah, It’s not an especially useful metric to ask % in hospital who are vaccinated. As vaccination rates rise, that percentage will rise even though the total hospitalization numbers drop significantly.
  13. Yeah, but it does appear to be a two/four month cycle regardless of what actions a society takes. That’s going to mean some increased risk for us here until we can burn through all the antivax nuts two months at a time. There are a lot of them to burn through, too.
  14. In other words, they kept their antivaxxers alive longer?
  15. Looks like cases are back up somewhat in England and parts of continental Europe - reasoning is waning immunity from shots or low vaccination rates in some countries. Not quite as bad as before, but now I'm worried we're just coming to a mysterious "two months on/two months off" cycle with this virus, with Europe about a month or so ahead of us.
  16. So in line with this question from last week - I got my first 2 shots at Methodist back in Jan/early Feb. Today Methodist texts me and basically says "Why TF haven't you gotten a booster? We show you're going to drop dead because it's been like forever and stuff. What in the actual fuck is wrong with you? Go get one." This is kind of what I was getting at about a Moderna UTR "booster" - officially I am going to go long time no shot and at some point institutions will notice and care. My magic vaccine passport will lose its fairy dust because it says I haven't gotten a shot in 10-11-12 months. I guess I can produce my new and improved Moderna one, but then that looks like I only got one shot. Or produce both and I look like I bought cards from some chiropractor. Wonder how big a deal it would be to get a Pfizer booster after the Moderna one and how close they can be? Because that may be where this ends up going. To honor those here who have fallen from the cloak room, yes I am a bit creeped out by the "surveillance," but that's not really the issue, dude.
  17. It's because of all the success they've had here. Can't help it.
  18. Does it go through 50lbs of pellets per cook?
  19. I think we should have some sort of legislative hearings on why there were something like a dozen truly good BBQ places in Texas for decades, and most of those pretty far from urban areas. The last 15 years or so proves it didn’t have to be that way. Turns out Houstonians didn’t have to settle for Luther’s and Gabby’s. Folks in SA didn’t have to eat saddle leather from Bill Miller. Folks in Dallas didn’t need to get stuck eating the guy down the street’s “chopped brisket” from his $6,000 native stone propane grill. Someone should be held accountable for that. I figure that since they had time to investigate Texas leaving the Big 12, the leg clearly is up for the job.
  20. This. He goes places as an OC, hits it out of the park. He goes places as HC and it’s hello 7-5. So stop telling me how good he was at Alabama.
