Ukraine-Russia war latest: Massive fires seen in Russian port town after Ukrainian drone strike Kyiv says it is preparing to carry out more long-range strikes on Russian energy infrastructure as winter approaches Vishwam Sankaran,Rebecca Whittaker Sunday 02 November 2025 08:30 GMT A Ukrainian drone strike has started major fires in Russia's Tuapse city, setting ablaze an oil tanker and the town's port in a move that could disrupt Moscow's fuel exports. A large part of Russia's crude and refined products reach international markets via the port in Russia's southern region of Krasnodar. In recent months, Kyiv has intensified strikes on Russian oil and energy infrastructure, whose profits fuel the Kremlin's war effort. Ukraine's secret service revealed yesterday that it has carried out over 150 strikes targeting Russian oil refineries and pipelines. Kyiv is preparing for new drone and long-range strikes on Russian energy infrastructure with a goal of causing widespread blackouts in Russia, said Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's drone forces. Brovdi said more such strikes would lead to frequent fuel shortages across Russia as Moscow's gas and oil reserves were "burning fast". --------- There are reports that a Rosneft offshore oil terminal might have been hit. The deep-water berth might have been hit. It was put into operation in 2013 and has the capacity to handle up to ~7 million tons per year, and to accommodate vessels up to 250 m long and with a draft of up to 15 m (so the ones that can carry the most oil).

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Martinez does not seem like an equal replacement for Lee. LSU's lower ranked guy looked better on tape. -
This was Navin's take that you agreed with: The reasons that USC sucks at football now are internal. There is plenty of talent nearby and decent money there (if it can be tapped). And there are plenty of players that would be fine playing football in Southern California. Players have no problem playing anywhere in the US if the money is right. Really, what I think more than anything (besides a good coach) is that USC needs a good business person in the athletic department who can draw NIL from surrounding LA businesses.
-
Really? Look at NFL rosters. California has plenty of athletes. And all USC needs is 25 players a year. And like Texas, they don't all have to come from California. Our best player in recent history came from Arizona. And Ohio State is fine recruiting guys from warm weather climates. And the inner cities don't give a shit about "chicks with dicks": that's generally not why they vote as they do. And central and northern and eastern California vote differently than San Fransisco and LA. And keep political takes off the football board.

I think blow is up there.

Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) struck a key Russian military fuel pipeline in Moscow Oblast on Oct. 31, disabling a key supply route used by the Russian army, the agency said in a statement. HUR said the strike targeted the Koltsevoy (Ring) pipeline, a 400-kilometer-long fuel artery used to supply Russia’s armed forces with gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel from refineries in Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. The operation reportedly destroyed all three major fuel lines of the system simultaneously near Ramensky district, south-east of Moscow. Despite anti-drone nets and armed security on-site, the pipeline infrastructure was successfully taken out of service, HUR said. "The Ring pipeline was capable of transporting up to 3 million tons of jet fuel annually, as well as millions of tons of diesel and gasoline," HUR said, calling the strike a "serious blow" to Russia’s military logistics and its economy in Moscow Oblast. "Our strikes have had more impact than the sanctions," HUR chief Kyrylo Budanov was quoted as saying in the post. "It’s just a mathematical truth. We caused much greater damage to the Russian Federation through direct action than any economic levers of influence that had been introduced on them until now," he added. The reported strike was part of a broader Ukrainian drone assault on Russia overnight. Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed it intercepted 98 drones overnight across 10 regions, including 11 over Moscow Oblast, six of which were reportedly headed toward the capital, Russian independent news outlet Meduza reported on Nov. 1. These coordinated strikes are part of Ukraine’s broader campaign to dismantle Russia’s military infrastructure and undermine its warfare capabilities.

I dare you to try rearranging that sentence.

But those are exactly the types who become ghosts, rattle chains, cause bug infestations, fuck up the tv, and generally prevent newly weds from getting it on.

Ukraine closes embassy in hurricane-stricken Cuba - due to Russian recruitment of Cuban soldiers Away from the battlefield, Ukraine's relations with Cuba have come under strain. Kyiv announced yesterday it has closed its embassy in Havana and is downgrading diplomatic ties over the high number of Cuban citizens allegedly joining Russia's war in Ukraine. Earlier, Ukraine also voted against a UN resolution that would end the US embargo against the island nation, a few hours after the country was hit by a generational hurricane. Ukraine's foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, said the vote was a reaction to "the inaction of Cuba's authorities" in response to Russia's "massive" recruitment of Cuban citizens to its armed forces. "Thousands of them have signed contracts, joining the ranks of soldiers directly engaged in combat operations on Ukrainian soil," he wrote on X. According to an unclassified US cable, up to 5,000 Cubans are fighting in Ukraine, though Cuba has denied this.

Suing a large corporation in small claims?

And by worth it, I mean assume we have similar temperaments and socioeconomic status.. it’s just easier for you to strenuously object. -
Suing a large corporation in small claims?
Bevo replied to Bevo's topic in Can You Help Me With This?
That was my “how” part of the question? And I’ll add, is it worth it? -
Is it possible to sue a large corporation in small claims court? If so, how do you do it and if not, what are my other options? I have a 2024 Genesis SUV and a check engine light came on. It is supposedly a common issue (maybe even a recall) but I haven’t verified that yet because I don’t have the repair information yet. Genesis would not have the local Hyundai dealership look at it and paid to have the car shipped to a Salt Lake City Genesis dealership which is approximately 9hrs away. They said the will submit a request to send the car back to me and to keep my receipts for my car rental. I’ve had the rental for 5 weeks and now Genesis says that I need to pick up the car because they denied the return shipping. It is a $600 flight and 9hr drive back home. I am okay with that loss but if they deny my car rental for over a month - about a $1400 bill - I am going to be pissed. It would have been much much cheaper and much much more convenient to have Hyundai fix the recall and pay for it out of pocket.

probably not true. If we aren’t spending money and aren’t getting any new sales, it is more likely just a wash economically.

Russia suffered approximately 1,137,690 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and October 27, 2025, with 800 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours. Sterling is a big-time shooter off the basketball who made 44% of his threes, on over 8 attempts per game, during the Pro16 season. He has extreme gravity as a floor spacer (12-18 on open catch-and-shoot threes), but is also a tough shot-maker off the bounce. He’s a limited athlete who can get swallowed up in the lane at times, but a good ball-handler who is very adept at holding his dribble and probing until he gets just enough separation for his pull-up. He’s much more limited at the rim and actually shot a lower percentage inside the arc than he did beyond it. For whatever physical gifts he may lack, he compensates not just with skill, but intangibles and feel for the game. He passes and cuts well, all while understanding what his niche is, has solid positional size, innate toughness and competitiveness. Joe Sterling is a 6-4, 180-pound Combo Guard from Encino, CA.

I don't know if Sark is cool to party with but my wife's close friend use to date him and said that he is very giving in bed. I'm paraphrasing a bit but she said that he has a magic tongue and after her second date with him, she threw away her rabbit. Further, she said, he is even better when he's had a few drinks.

Looks like we will continue to have a great defense. It would be nice to have a complete team, though. -
Yeah, I’m about to pay $31000 for a used truck. I wanted a beater but dealerships in the Rockies want $20K for a 8yr old truck with 90000 miles. That sounds crazy when I could buy a new fully loaded Hyundai Santa Fe in 2012 for $28K. $45K now seems to be on the low end for such vehicles and I don’t think salaries are matching that increase. Maybe I’m wrong, though, since it seems like most people are still buying with $600/mo payments.

Yeah, I have 1st cousin who has since retired but was head of IT for GM. He and I discussed the topic at a thanksgiving dinner before Covid. For him, it was going to be a huge win because it moves IT from an expense to a profit center.
