  1. I broke my ribs doing the same thing. A 6’6” kid (skinny as a rail) thought he could dunk on me. I didn’t want to run under him so I stood still and figured he would go around me. Nope. I turned at the waist just when he went up so I wouldn’t get hit in the face and his knobby knee hit me in the left of my back. And he wasn’t within 5ft of making the bucket. Luckily there was an ER doc playing with us so he got me right in without waiting. Pissed me off as it sucked working while the ribs healed. Shit it hurt breathing.
  2. Red wine gives me allergies, so I never have it. And from a medical and humanitarian perspective, I would think that it is a bad idea to try to convince someone who wants to quit that moderation is okay (a glass of wine every once in awhile). So, it is best that I agree with you. Moreover, you may ultimately be correct, anyway.
  3. Cardiologists disagree (although controversial).
  4. Is happy to chat - He still comes to games every so often.

  14. If HEB delivers, we can send him lettuce.
  15. For a male, binge episode is 5 standard drinks or more. If you're drinking this much, the average doesn't matter because it's harmful drinking. If it's 4 or less per day, you can average that out over week. If you're at or under 14 and you have no binges, this is considered moderate drinking. 14 drinks a week all the way to 1 drink a month is moderate drinking for men (7 for the ladies). So one 5 for 1 at Abels.
  16. Yeah, I think he is a better option than that dude we had from New Jersey. He is huge and all he needs to do is anchor the middle. Seems like a great Norton replacement. He was a five star and the top player in NC when he came out: Shaw is a thick built player with a powerful lower half. Standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 330 pounds he is still athletic enough to play all over the defensive line with great production. He is light on his feet and makes plays off the edge and the interior. With his power and bull rush he does an excellent job pushing the pocket and causing disruption. Shaw is has excellent awareness and is able to read and react on plays that are away from him, chasing them down from the backside. He has good flexibility in his hips and he can drop his weight and turn the corner when rushing the passer. He has to continue to work on playing with a low pad level and utilizing his hands when he gets off blocks, along with adding pass rusher moves to his game. Shaw brings athleticism not normally seen in a player his size, that makes for his upside to being off the charts and him projecting to being a Power Five starter for multiple years. I think that he projects as an All Conference player with the chance of being a 1st round pick in the NFL Draft.
  17. What are the docs saying? Still having problems with infection?
  18. Yeah, I had a girlfriend in Ostrava for 6mo who didn't speak any english. Not much to fight about.
  19. I know I'm an outlier but I put dogs in the same camp. I was kind of against the cigarette laws as I thought people should be able to do what they want as long as I don't have to pay for their dangerous and nasty habits. The problem was that when I would go to bars in college, I would have to play basketball for hours to get all the congestion out of my chest. Once the cigarette laws passed, I was so much happier not being sick or having to shower after going out to dinner or to bars. So, now I can go to dinner and eat outside and not have to deal with smoking. However, now dogs are at all places with outdoor seating. They bark, they smell, I'm slightly allergic to them and personally, I think it is unsanitary to eat near them. I especially have a problem with it when it is a nice dining place -like sushi, for example. And it is getting more common, not less. I see dogs inside pizza joints and cafes and other low level dining experiences. I don't think there are that many people who feel like me, but I would rather eat at home than to go to a restaurant that allows dogs inside.
  20. I liked living in Budapest better. But, there was more to see in Prague.
  21. I'm worse than you. I'll have one drink and it will screw up my sleep so I'm tired all the next day. Not hung over just tired.
