  1. I don't know where this came from but a brisket, jalapeno, and cheese pot pie sounds pretty enticing.
  2. I thought they only sold tacos. I've only been there for live music on Wednesdays though - and even then it is very rare because of work on Thursday.
  3. Memorial is very different now than when I grew up there. As a kid, people asked why we wanted to move from Meyerland way out to the middle of nowhere. Now, Memorial is considered close in. Anyway, as a kid Memorial had huge wooded lots with older homes. Now, very large old homes have been torn down to make room for 3 McMansions. Maybe a decent number of older homes still exist, though, with a lot of vegetation. I don't really drive around enough when I visit to get a great feel for the changes.
  4. The Top 100 has a lot more skill position players than trench players. If you corrected for the number of Top 100 prospects by position, the numbers would look even worse. I'm surprised athletes do so well from prospect to draft.
  5. Surprisingly, that isn't entirely true. My SIL got me in trouble with a mayor and longtime friend by telling me that he had a Generac when in fact he didn't. And my SIL didn't get one yet because they were quoted something like 100K. I told them to not do whole house but just the kitchen and the associated AC. They don't want to spend too much money because the house is old and should probably be replaced rather than given a facelift.
  6. From Twitter: Sad weekend for GenX.
  7. I texted my SIL this morning. They are still without power in Memorial. The men stayed and are toughing it out. The women left for the mountains.
  8. I assume we will get Townsend and will end up with a strong class, but the news lately hasn't been very favorable.
  9. Don't tell me every single surly wouldn't do the same. It was probably the most fun they had in the job.
  10. Crazy that they allow insider trading for politicians. Are there funds out there that just follow Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, etc. and just do the same trades? Are their trades known in real time? Do they out perform the market?
  11. Someone PM me, because I still haven't watched yesterday's tour - #15 and I don't want to come to this thread and see the results. But, I ordered Peacock and need help in figuring out how to use it. On the #14 stage, I started watching it in the morning and then went on a ride. Later, I did a search and kept trying to search but it didn't show up until the evening. On the 15th, I tried to do the same searching for 15, Tour, etc. and nothing showed up all day and even into this morning. This morning, I switched it to Sports instead of search and then in the banner #15 appeared. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch very much of it because I had to go to work. How do you find the damn replay broadcast? I can find 1-14 fine and 16-whatever fine, but the current day broadcast, no such luck. Maybe just switching to Sports instead of searching is the answer. Anyone else have the same problem that I'm experiencing?
  12. Too bad y'all didn't have the CenterPoint executives' idea of becoming major investors in Generac.
  13. Except the problem with the Pro Bowl is that players don't want to get hurt. A mid-season Pro Bowl would be a problem for both the players and their teams. An injury could screw up the season. So, no one will want to play in the game.
  14. Maybe now we can see that missing episode of Charmed.
  15. Anything stirring up in the Atlantic?
  16. Tanook Hines and Nick Townsend on Monday. Nick Townsend is the only likely one, right? Aggie is most likely for Johnson and Hines is Notre Dame.
  17. https://www.scrippsnews.com/world/world-history/ukraines-women-warriors/keeping-up-with-ukraine-s-fearless-women-warriors If the video doesn't post, it is worth visiting the page. Keeping up with Ukraine's fearless women warriors Since the Ukraine-Russia war began, Scripps News has been following courageous Ukrainian women on the front lines. Here's an update on their stories. By: Jason Bellini , Linda Pattillo , Dmytro Horyevoy Posted at 8:37 PM, Feb 21, 2024 Scripps News met Maj. Uliana Sozanska last spring near the front lines in Bakhmut, Ukraine. Just weeks before the meeting, she had led an air force band, far from any battlefield. However, when her only brother fell victim to a Russian attack, everything changed. Fueled by the desire to avenge his death, she enlisted in the same unit with which he had fought. Sozanska said that her brother’s motto was, “A warrior lives as long as people remember him.” Now her brother’s photo is displayed on a huge banner in the heart of Ukraine's capital. Suzanka shared with us a photo of her new tattoo honoring her brother. In the new year, she’s now posting on social media photos of herself at the front, writing, “Never will we give up!” Shifting focus to another remarkable woman: For nearly two years, Scripps News followed Emerald and her fairy-tale journey from jeweler, to sniper, to wife and then mother. The dramatic developments in the life of the woman known as "Ukraine’s Joan of Arc" continue to unfold. While she is still in Kyiv raising her daughter, she announced on social media that she is getting a divorce. But that has not stopped her from continuing to leave a legacy. She is now using her fame in Ukraine to advocate on behalf of victims of domestic violence, founding an organization with over 700 volunteers as her new front line. Now let's talk about the commander of a Ukrainian mortar platoon, whose call sign is "Witch." To meet Witch last winter, Scripps News journeyed near the front line, under constant Russian shelling. Witch, a lawyer turned mortar commander, offered insight into how many women, who weren't allowed to serve in combat positions before 2016, are now thriving in a male-dominated military. We recently had a reunion when we reported our story about Witch's mentee, Demon, the young 19-year-old mortarwoman. Ukraine’s military has promoted her again, making her one of the highest-ranking women on the battlefield. Witch is still fighting. Copyright 2024 Scripps Media, Inc. All rights reserved. 18. Who are the next recruits that will be announcing?
  19. Our ILB target - Faraimo - GA https://247sports.com/player/madden-faraimo-46133421/ Played safety as a freshman and sophomore before growing in to a linebacker as a junior and that’s where he’ll play in college as well. Big 6-3, 215 pound frame and shows the ability to play sideline to sideline at inside ‘backer or line up as an edge rusher in passing situations. Brings a lot of positional versatility to the table and could play any of the ‘backer positions or grow in to a full time edge rusher in college. Plays with plenty of quick twitch, moves well laterally and shows good instincts. Is comfortable dropping in coverage and has flashed solid cover skills in various 7v7 settings. With his frame, toughness and athleticism, his upside is very high and he has the ability to be an impact player from day one in college.
  20. Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng Dude, when we move down the leader board feel free to complain. When we hit on our primary targets, you can assume that we got someone you should be excited about. Cunningham, Faraimo, Pettijohn, Barnes, Matai and maybe Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng were all primary targets.
  21. a year ago. but in any case, he is projected to ILB and edge in certain formations.
  22. I think you are confused by the name. He was playing safety not too long ago.
