  1. Hopefully = LJ Humphrey but may end up at TE.
  2. Who are the chief advisors making these decisions?
  3. Did you have to google or did you know about it? I had a patient who was a geologist who told me about it. Is it widely known?
  4. Yeah, but Anding is a corner. Watching Chester's film, he doesn't seem real quick so I would not be surprised if they view him as a safety. We have had a problem getting guys like BJ Foster and finding out that they are too slow for safety.
  5. Yeah, we have wanted Anding from the start. He has always been very high on our board.
  6. We do need more flash. We should bring in P. Diddy as recruiting coordinator.

    Death of a Legend

Only if they don't get found guilty of arson and insurance fraud.
  8. There's a fault line that runs through The Woodlands. I don't know what kind of problems that would cause with buried cables.
  9. I'm sure it is obsidian. But, what I don't get is why he is showing random pictures of rocks to us.
  10. That's what I would think and it is super easy. I don't know code though and if it raises any red flags with inspection when selling the house.
  11. Maybe, but that's not what I'd be looking at.
  12. It related news, Texas and California have been experiencing this downfall for years.
  13. How do we know it was butt sex and not just doggie style?
  14. Phillips doesn't seem like a corner to me. And Anding was wavering some even before the LSU offer. Meanwhile, there are few backup plans. And while we won't see an impact next year, we will probably see one. It wasn't like we had tons of depth as it was.
  15. I agree with this sentiment overall. We went big game hunting and had more losses than we were accustomed. There were unnecessary self-inflicted issues in certain recruitments but I have more confidence that they will be worked out with this staff than any time in my Texas football memory. My pontificating is more on the peripheral of things. I'm obviously not an insider although I could talk to people who are if I cared. So, I'll wonder if our shitty DB recruiting is because our corners coach has stopped putting in the effort or if Baker was a mistake vs. hiring a well connected coach such as Nansen. Or what kind of tangible difference a GM like Glasscock would make on individual recruits. I'm not too worried about the big picture. The big picture will be pretty much determined by our success in the first year of the SEC, especially compared to LSU, A&M, Arkansas, OU, and Alabama. If we are successful, it will be much easier to keep the top in-state recruits.
  16. Is the $20B that we are providing in 2025 independent from the $60B approved by Congress? Ukraine getting $40B in aid in 2025 is huge and means that it won't have an ammunition shortage like it did in the beginning of 2024.
  17. I was thinking about choosing Brisket as my running mate, but Bevo Brisket had a terrible ring to it.
  18. Ha, I was on the flight before his - The first commercial flight out of Texas to Cancun. And I have to tell, once airborne, I had not one regret. Fuck that ice storm.
  19. I like your post. That's all true. Prior to Urban they recruited mainly Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois and New Jersey. During Urban, they paid and got lots of IMG guys and other guys in the deep South to bring in speed. This has continued post-Urban. It surprises me that with NIL, that tOSU can still pull so well in the South when Texas and various other schools are paying equal money. During the Dobbins time period, tOSU was out recruiting Texas in Texas. Currently, for this cycle tOSU is pretty darn close to us in the Top 10 in Texas. That's - not good.
  20. Good point - What is tOSU doing that we aren’t? I don’t think they are having the same issues that we are having. Maybe, we should use them as a model. USC’s issue may be something else. Based on my theory, others have swooped in because USC’s offer was too close to market. Maybe USC is failing by not handholding enough after the commitment. what’s your gut tell you?
  21. I think we have let teams like LSU hang around the rim and while we are dicking around, other schools have jump into the fray and changed the dynamic. Moore was different in that he was Sark's "must have" and we gave him a very good offer but he continued to market himself anyway. I don't get the feeling that the same dynamic would happen with Ffrench and Lockett. Moore was just a loss. Shit happens. But when you look at non-WRs, we have lost two to LSU and are about to lose a DB to them. Three guys plus a WR - to LSU. That shit should not be happening regardless of circumstances/excuses.
  22. I am that dumb, because I believe that this shit is self-inflicted: I still think players are saying to themselves that the money is close enough to where the player decides to go to the preferred school (for whatever reason). I refuse to believe that the player is saying that Texas is offering $100K more but that he wants to go to LSU anyway. This cycle we have had to deal with tOSU and Oregon or in this case Georgia changing the market.
