  1. To be clear, not saying he’s blameless or some sort of victim at all. I imagine living with him probably sucked pretty bad. That said, it was going on for a while and the other marriage broke up too (with its own kids) and she ended up marrying him…and wrecking that family in the process (and causing me some indirect but mild annoyance due to some kid relationships).
  2. Not against Cal State Fullerton in 2004. Fucking damnit. Other than Drew Stubbs, no one was more responsible for that shitshow of a final series.
  3. No disagreement. I’m just saying that since then, he’s really gone public with his stupidity in a very toxic way. He’s clearly in a dark place if you look at his twitter. He responds to practically every single thing anyone says to him with childish horseshit in thousands of very cringey responses to each and every reply…even obvious bots. But yeah, if you just consider his three sons’ names, it is clear he’s always been a dumbfuck. I’m just saying I think his very deep seated anger/rage that drips from his every post is partially fueled by the humiliation of finding out that your wife has been fucking your best friend on all of your vacations for years right under your nose (and then left you to marry him) has to embitter someone in a unique way. Like I said, very disappointing since 2002 was the first major championship that a lot of us experienced as Texas fans but it is what it is. Dumbshits gonna dumbshit. I’m still had fun in June 2002. i couldn’t give two fucks about swindell. I was 3 when he was pitching and he seems like a complete and utter dipshit just like most baseball players.
  4. jordan's is primarily just jesus freak stuff. huston's is extraordinarily toxic and hateful maga/qanon shit. ever since his dad died and his wife fucked around on him and left him for one of his best friends, he totally lost his fucking mind. super disappointing.
  5. Are those quaking aspens in your driveway? Are those prevalent in your part of Alaska?
  6. are you sure that is not remy martinez?
  7. anyone know romeo rose'd mailing address? Worth the $20.
  8. turning 65 makes one eligible for an "OA" exemption which effectively freezes the total obligation. it is a well-intentioned part of the property tax code so that grandmothers don't have to be kicked out of their homes because they can't afford the property taxes. like anything, clever people routinely abuse it. there are lots of westlakers, lost creekers, etc... that have houses in their parents' name, etc... timely topic though as i just filed my arbitration with the comptroller's office.
  9. i would like to know who...based on that image...is paying only $1,969 in property taxes anywhere near central texas in 2025. that may be the stupidest thing i have seen in my life.
  10. incredible, thanks for posting. our days were very different.
  11. spoon method is best but don't beat yourself up, there is no perfect solution that works for every egg. you're just boiling them really slow. not going to make a difference vis-a-vis peeling a boiled egg. it really doesn't matter but it is all about practice. practice practice practice. and a properly sharpened knife. sure you can. you just need to take a dose of south austin and celery man's deliberate mis en place routine. baking is 90% about preparation and measurement. more science, less art. and becoming extremely familiar with the unique idiosyncracies of your oven relative to standard recipes. your oil is 15-30 degrees too hot regardless of following your thermometer. dial it down and add just a bit more time. also make sure to get your chicken to room temp before doing all the dredging, etc... easiest thing in all of cooking. the cow did all the hard work for you. 100% no need to flip. follow the thomas keller approach for fool-proof perfect omelette every time. whisk them smoooth, butter the dish, low heat, let it just sit until the edges are starting to rise, put it in the oven at 250-275 for 4 minutes. pull it out, throw all your shit inside, do a three-way fold inside the pan using a fish spatula, slide it out on to the plate. lots of variables at play here that may be leading to less than desirable results for you but one thing that a lot of people don't do with the kitchenaid attachment is run it through the biggest size a few times and then fold and do it again to get everything nice and consistent before working your way down slowly in size. also, you don't have to do it all at once. people tend to just run it through the most open setting once and then try to rush to get it down.
  12. 100 fucking percent. i acknowledge that i am a very mediocre guitarist for sure but it is always wild how much i feel like i'm grooving it with just an open mic running. stop and play back the part i liked. delete.
  13. chelsea has spent more in the transfer market since may 2022 than everton has since its inception in 1878 and they have finished 12th and 6th. that's a little bit bonkers.
  14. sounds like a good title for your next track.
  15. years spent on this website made bernard quite surly.
  16. that is its own song called "sirius." eye in the sky is the next track.
  17. i have never watched this but all the talk of t&a on here has my interest piqued.
  18. chitown's favorite and g650's least favorite savile row tailor huntsman is doing a trunk show in austin on 9/18 and 9/19 if anyone is in the market. https://www.huntsmansavilerow.com/pages/u-s-a-trunk-shows
  19. what i imagine hagbard looking like reading the last two posts.
  20. i think the original markets falling like whoa was the september 2015 flash crash. it definitely did not go all the way back to the financial crisis.
  21. Fuck everything.
  22. Think of all the potential for being featured in the prologue of a Paul Thomas Anderson movie were that scenario come to pass.
  23. So I said, ‘"Let me ask you a question," and [the guy who makes Teslas in Texas] said, "Nobody ever asked this question," and it must be because of MIT, my relationship to MIT —very smart. He goes, I say, "What would happen if the Cybertruck sank from its weight? And you’re in the Cybertruck and you have this tremendously powerful battery and the battery is now underwater and there’s a shark that’s approximately 10 yards over there?" By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, do you notice that, a lot of sharks? I watched some guys justifying it today. Well, they weren’t really that angry. They bit off the young lady’s leg because of the fact that they were, they were not hungry, but they misunderstood what who she was. These people are crazy. He said there’s no problem with sharks. They just didn’t really understand a young woman swimming now. It really got decimated and other people do a lot of shark attacks. So I said, "so there’s a shark 10 yards away from the Cybertruck, 10 yards or here, do I get electrocuted if the Cybertruck is sinking? Water goes over the battery, the Cybertruck is sinking. Do I stay in the Cybertruck and get electrocuted, or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted?" Because I will tell you, he didn’t know the answer. He said, "You know, nobody’s ever asked me that question.” I said, "I think it’s a good question." I think there’s a lot of electric current coming through that water. But you know what I’d do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted, I’ll take electrocution every single time. I’m not getting near the shark. So we’re going to end that.
