  1. 2018 right before we got hot and went on the run beating usc and ou. horrible game. we won 28-21 thanks to sam heroics. perfect encapsulation of herman...we beat tulsa at home and georgia in the sugar bowl by the exact same score in the same season.
  2. your georgia boys did not perform well in this thread i just read for the first time: https://www.secrant.com/rant/sec-football/brutal-beating-of-a-student-and-his-girlfriend-at-auburn-apt-complex/109764277/
  3. not just that, but they murdered it with bama taking three timeouts.
  4. looks like the "tits" part of this thread has finally started pulling its weight. wondering if we haven't heard much from her lately because she's been recovering.
  5. the game thread of one of the best texas games in 14 years has devolved into people contemplating each others' assholes and dick sizes sprinkled in with people posting pathetic and homophobic facebook screen captures of morons outing themselves on the internet...
  6. of course, i get that...but why line up? if you're going to do that, might as well try your hand at a hard count.
  7. ultimate pedantic dickhead on this one but we did get a delay on the first drive in the weirdest 4th down flex i've ever seen. i understand trying to draw an offsides...particularly against a highly undisciplined and jacked up bama defense...but we never even lined it up and did a hard count. the guys just looked at the sidelines the entire time until the play clock ran out. that was confusing.
  8. i think that is what will happen going forward...but remember that xavier pulled the exact same play/catch he dropped on that perfect third down ball in at the clutch moment to win the awful, awful iowa state game last year. the one that annoyed me more in terms of identifying who does what was the slant to whittington. that is a td if it is to 5.
  9. @4th&Five and I have done a lot of the SEC with a group of dudes that has doing a trip a year for the last 20 years as well as a few pac12s (oregon and washington), some big 10s (michigan, wisconsin, iowa), and acc's (clemson, notre, and vatech). However, we have only been as visiting texas fans once and that was in 2015 for notre dame which sucked all around. LSU a few times including Auburn in 2003 and Alabama in 2010. Alabama in 2007 in Saban's first year for LSU. Tennessee in 2008 for Florida. Georgia in 2013 for LSU. South Carolina in 2012 for Georgia. Ole Miss in 2016 for Alabama. Auburn in 2019 for Georgia. We are going to Kentucky this year for the florida game. Tuscaloosa is definitely, by far, the shittiest town in all of the sec that i have been to. it fucking sucked ass in every way. they may have upgraded the town a bit in the last 15 years while being good but holy shit did it suck. stadium was super nice and we had fun with the fans but they weren't losing to texas. good food in birmingham. all the fanbases are chocked full of white trash idiots. There is nothing distinguishing them...EXCEPT LSU. they aren't human beings. they truly are a different species of swamp dwelling trash. that said, if you aren't playing them and just a neutral observer as we were, holy shit are they a fucking good time. great food. but easily the most obnoxious and drunkest fucking people on the planet. ole miss was super chill, tennessee was super chill (because they were horrible when we went), south carolina had a shocking amount of hot ass and it didn't hurt that they were playing uga, georgia was the most fun and enjoyable town by a long shot. knoxville second. auburn is boring ass rural alabama.
  10. the nearest one is an ethereal pedal by wampler. as goredho can attest, it is by far my favorite pedal ever. it is a combo delay-reverb pedal that i fucking love. i would strongly recommend it to anyone. eta: i use it anytime i want to sound like sigur ros or explosions in the sky...but i also love pairing it with my big muff fuzz for the sweetest hard rock sound...kind of a jimi sound. super great pedal...even for bass. get it.
  11. see my spoilered text wall novel above. and that's all i was saying. worthy is an interesting fella in that he made that play but didn't pull in that thing of beauty quinn put out there on the goal line.
  12. Just came back to this thread for the first time since yesterday afternoon. Jeez, I really seem to have started something and you guys let BO&W's adolescent personality and helobious's stupidity take this to an 11. @Huckleberry is correct...it was a much better catch than it was a throw. @Dahobbs was correct...the fact that it ended in a td means it can't really be my hyperbolic "brutally bad." This started with me apparently...someone who has really been unwilling to trust or believe in Quinn (and am admittedly still skeptical about consistency) as anything but Jeff George 2.0, trying to compliment him on a phenomenal overall game in which he balled his ass off and played a great game both mentally and in execution about 90% of the game...something we haven't really seen with him before. If you want to see why I am totally right and a football super genius and the rest of you are shit-for-brains nincompoops who know nothing, then read the spoiler. (i'm being facetious FFS) TLDR: Jesus Christ, calm down. Everyone was happy that Quinn slapped in all facets. Hook'em. Let's hope they can take the next step and defy the sark tendency to play down to competition a week after playing up to competition and go kill Wyoming.
  13. That’s a fair characterization. Agree with that…especially compared to the first deep ball incompletion to worthy that truly did fit that category. that said, the fact that the board’s two biggest dipshits in helo and bo&w agree with you makes it feel wrong.
  14. Dahobbs and doc, you may want to consider the quoted post in assessing your disagreement with my post. Just saying.
  15. We witnessed brutally bad in his first deep pass to Worthy in the Alabama game too. It was an eye roller. the TD was 20 yards away from where it should have been. That’s super bad. He just happened to throw it so high that Xavier had an opportunity to break off the route and make the best play of his career.
  16. Yes, he was a late flip from agros. and a huge get. Agros lost Perkins late the year before and Hill late last year.
  17. It really was IMO. The Milroe to Burton td pass is what that pass should have looked like. Not a punt pass to the moon into the middle of the endzone. Obviously happy with the result but worthy had to make a miraculous catch over his head after a complete change of direction. quinn threw some really nice balls last night, that wasn’t one of them. Someone astutely pointed out the 3rd down pass to Whittington as his best and I would probably agree. The short td pass to Mitchell was really, really nicely placed and timed around the linebacker responsible for filling that zone. Sideline pass to Mitchell was also pretty perfect, as was the laser he threw that Mitchell dropped. 3rd down goal line that worthy dropped was gorgeous. Long td passes and the first two bomb incompletions (my god the first one where worthy was wide open was frustrating) were his worst passes. Maybe the fourth down pass to the only covered person. Not a bad thing that those were the worst. He played well and showed major growth from last year and week 1. For the first time in his career, when they came out in the fourth quarter, there was a sense of confidence. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going.
  18. Ironically, the two deep td passes were not great. Worthy’s was brutally bad and Mitchell’s wasn’t great. Wrs made incredible plays. even more ironically, Quinn threw an absolutely perfect goal line throw on 3rd and goal in the first drive and worthy did a terrible job and he threw an NFL quality laser to Mitchell deep in our own territory that Mitchell dropped when the bama db timed his hit perfectly. once Quinn settled down his feet after the first quarter and started to see/trust that our oline was there to play the best game they have in more than a decade, he did a really good job of delivering most of the time. Still some bad plays on the 3rd and short and 4th and short throwing to the only guy covered. But now that he’s starting to trust more than just worthy and sanders and the oline is putting in A+ pass protection performances, there’s some real potential for sustained offensive success. Great game from both lines last night. Looking forward to Hill’s season on D.
  19. Critically, not qb sneak fumbles but qb sneak backwards passes/muffs.
  20. i knew i was supposed to hate that walt whitman woke mother fucker. actually shit-for-brains tuberville probably does hate him since he was on the side of the united states of america.
  21. Forecasts for next week already starting to creep up. Had mid-80s after Monday and already into low 90s and no rain.
