  1. I'm 1300 miles from the nearest Whataburger so I went to Five Guys for a quick burger. What's with the fries? Who the fuck needs nine pounds of undercooked french fries?
  2. Wouldn't that just be an arm doctor?
  3. We should definitely do more stuff like Mexico.
  4. How about bourbon flavored maple?
  5. Congratulations, you just invented the chimichanga!
  6. I've been working in Portland, Maine since the beginning of July. It's hilarious when they bitch about "this godawful heat" when it gets up in the low 80's.
  7. The one on Barton springs used to have the best chicken fried steak in town but I haven't been in years. Never tried the barbecue.
  8. Well the best I can say is...they should have boiled the brisket longer.
  9. I'm working in Maine for the summer and we're having a catered bbq lunch tomorrow. Great.
  10. We've had Zoe for a year now. She's turned out to be an extremely intelligent dog, if a bit overzealous with her attention needs. I guess that's to be expected since she spent the better part of her first couple years by herself in a small run outside. Her and Hank will be 3 in October and they are absolutely joined at the hip.
  11. I'm working in Maine for the summer so count me out.
  12. Second this. Rick is a good friend of mine and he's as straight up as they come.
  13. Fried boloney sammich before I head Maine lobsterfest
  14. I decided to summer in Maine, she didn't want to.
  15. In the 70's (and 80's?) there were many Tex Mex places that served saltines if I remember correctly.
  16. Just under 56K. And my wife free summer has a couple months left.
  17. The whiskey tastes "better" because alcohol has evaporated and lowered the proof. Of course some of the esters have evaporated along with the ethanol and that can also change the flavor profile, but mostly for the worse in my opinion. Either way, you really shouldn't be storing bourbon, or any whiskey, in a decanter for long periods.
  18. 100% illegal. There's kind of an unwritten rule on boiler size, basically if your still boiler is under 25 gallons and you don't sell your stuff then nobody will fuck with you. If for some reason you do get busted, at worst they'll make you destroy your still but that's about it. If I remember correctly it's legal in many states to own a still, but you just can't make spirits without a distiller's license. Or so I've heard.
  19. It's cool Walden I'll find my own places. Joshua's Tavern in Brunswick. Payoff after 31 hours driving in three days.
  20. Yeah me too, I'm heading up there to work for a few months.
  21. Or let's skip the mom jokes and go straight to the pinko fucking commie jokes.
