So were Saban and Meyers ...- Matt Patricia
Are you certain no one was ever wide open? Did you have full view of the field watching the WRs on every single play? I never have that good of camera angles watching it on TV and if you're watching it live in the stadium, it's still tough to be disciplined enough to say you saw it all.- LSU @ Clemson- ABC
Nice cutback by the LSU receiver.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox
I don't pretend to know which assistants, if any, require dismissal. Sark isn't Saban though. Indeed, because of Saban, he believes in 2nd chances. Whether that compromises his objectivity is subject to debate. As for Mack and the OL, I don't know how much of it was recruiting vs the OL coach and likewise, the fat S&C coach. But those two were at least question marks to me. But I think poor QB performance from Garrett Gilbert and onward were due to mismanagement. And no small part of that was lack of a running game and poor blocking in both pass-pro and rushing.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox

That's a good thing IMO. Too soon might be too soon and also affords more opportunities for the backup QBs to get reps, just in case. Hopefully, he does well enough that Sark will feel comfortable pulling him to allow those backups reps.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox

I thought the OL played well all things considered. Yes, the penalties need to get cleaned up, but considering their first true start together on the road in that environment, it could have been a LOT worse. There were some encouraging interior runs too against a solid DL. I think better play calling and execution at the GL could have yielded better results there too.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox

My recollection is his vertical passes are better than lateral ones; i.e., the exact opposite of Ewers. But, he was not this bad last season. You could tell it was something he needed to work on though. Which is why I think this performance had way more to do with him getting inside his on head and a fear of failure than anything else. He's human and the ridiculously insane levels of hype got to him on the biggest ever opening road game. That's my take. He's got three games to even his keel and right his rudder. But I've never been one to be all that concerned with making predictions. So we'll see how he does.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox
Agreed. Our defense is legit all things considered. The refs absolutely made a difference in this game too, by no calls against Ohio State. Not that I question the calls against us. I thought one PI was a little ticky tacky, but not one you could really argue against. The missed holding and PI calls against the Buckeyes were notable. But none of that matters if Arch doesn't shit the bed today.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox

Maybe Sark was scared Arch would give them a concussion with the ball Arch underthrew the RBs multiple times today. He did manage to connect to Baxter on a play. When your QB is missing more often than not, it isn't because of the OC. I think it's pretty obvious that Arch was in his own head due to all of the public pressure. I didn't think it would last past the first quarter, but it did.- #1 Texas vs. #3 Ohio State - 11am on Fox

Exactly. At least getting to this early in the season allows for him, the coaches and the team to work on their weaknesses. And while the game didn't end on a high note, there were some positives towards the end. There were some flashes here and there. Avoiding the shutout was paramount. Yeah, no moral victories and all that, but that would have left a mark. - LSU @ Clemson- ABC
