  1. Yoda version: Begun, the Asian poon wars have
  2. Wingo fell down because he's trying to make his body do the impossible ... come back to the ball he was expecting to be thrown further his way. A body in motion tends to stay in motion and his body and feet were not in the right position to do anything about it.
  3. Agreed. I typically like his post-game Five Quick Thoughts though. They are consistently good IMO. Perhaps that format tends to corral him from getting lost in the weeds which often occurs in his other articles. But as you say, his other write-ups posted here are solid this go-around.
  4. That''s exactly the same scenario where Broughton got called a few games earlier. Collins put his hands up to block the pass, not to hit the QB, but there ya go. Another case where the rules screw defensive players trying to make a play.
  5. Sooking Every Cock ...
  6. Or he doesn't want to further encourage the controversy, which is somewhat linked to Quinn due to the external noise it would generate. But damn if this isn't exactly when you're supposed to bring your backup into the game. Hope Quinn is healthy for next week.
  7. DJ Campbell (think it was him) was limping a little about 4 plays before the TD. But he stayed in and gott'er done.
  8. That's a TD by replay.
  9. And Sark is ass right now. He's either too worried about Ewer's feelings or any further controversy. But really, this is the exact kind of situation you bring in the backup and good development for Arch.
  10. Just lovely.
  11. Going to need more than one score to finish them with this much time left.
  12. See how Wisner wraps the ball up at contact.
  13. Great play call by Sark there.
  14. Blue is a fumbling machine.
  15. Nah. Just make big noise.
  16. Refs letting Kentucky have their way with our receivers. Wonder if they will be evenhanded about that.
  17. Yes sir Mr. Wisner
  18. Nice move by Wingo
  19. Nicely converted though. And looking good so far thereafter.
  20. Quinn has had some games where he just absolutely killed it. He was nails in both games against Alabama. He was carving Bama up until he got taken out in his first contest with them. Likewise 49-0 against OU. When he's not playing timidly, he's very good.
  21. So you mistook my original FIFY of South Austin's quote to include his entire statement or everything about Sam. I guess I could have been less ambiguous by isolating that portion of the quote initially, but figured the strike-through and italics were sufficiently clear what I was emphasizing. It's what stood out to me when I first read it. The book on Quinn isn't totally written yet. We've seen him play great before. He needs to find his way back to that version of himself.
  22. Quinn in no way, shape or form has greater fire and mental toughness than Sam. It is laughable to suggest otherwise. You can argue what I didn't claim, that he's a better passer when he isn't wilting under pressure. There's no doubt he is blessed with greater arm talent and has a higher ceiling. But to claim he has more moxy, fire or mental toughness? Those qualities oozed from Sam's pores. Hopefully Quinn is working his way back into that zone where he just focuses and plays with confidence. When he's there, our offense is virtually unstoppable. I hope he gets his mojo back and will rejoice as much as any longhorn when he does.
  23. FIFY. Not bashing Quinn either but it's simply not debatable.
