They are still a very talented team. Has anyone recruited better than Georgia for the last 5 years or more? It's pretty much been Ohio State, Georgia and Bama as the top 3 recruiting teams typically and we've started breaking into that arena of late. Georgia hasn't played to their potential for complete football games yet, but they are battle tested if for no other reason than not taking care of business in the first half of games. They will be galvanized for this game and may play their best football yet. Not hard to see the potential for a real barnburner in this game. Who knows how it actually will play out. Likewise, this will be our first test against a good offense. It's absolutely valid to acknowledge that.
So yeah, we're rightfully favored, but totally understandable why not by a substantial margin.
Bama managed to get Beck out of sorts in the first half, but he came out having regained his composure in the second and darn near pulled off the comeback.
Will be interesting to see if our pass rush can get home to Beck or disrupt him. Also interested to see if Georgia can have success running the ball up the middle. We've been somewhat susceptible to that.
