  1. Glad we got it, but don't like the decision to go for it there.
  2. The woman likes those and I value accumulation of nookie points...
  3. I used to have a dealer who charged $10 for transfers / $5 with a CHL. That was sweet while it lasted. Most everyone else at the time was charging a minimum of $25 and up. Great to deal with too, but he decided to get out of it.
  4. In that clip, Cam is backpedaling way too much before engaging. He totally cedes all his buffer ground. He's just not very good at dealing with dynamic edge rushers at this point. He literally allows the edge rusher to dictate the terms there. Quinn is forced to adjust to the far side, which allows the rest of the DL to break off what was good protection by the rest of the line. The whole pocket breaks down as a result.
  5. Not having watched Vanderbilt before this, I don't know if they previously ran shifts and stunts. But I'd expect everyone too until we prove we can handle them simply because it has been effective for OU and Georgia.
  6. If it's a completion, he threaded the needle. If not, he had no business throwing that pass I liked that he stepped into that one. Definitely want more of that.
  7. I agree, but the OL did him no favors here. That includes the RB's when charged with protection duties too. Jake Majors completely whiffed a pass rusher, like immediately so, on the first tipped pass. It wasn't like the guy was on the other side of the LOS and managed to bat it down. He was in his face very suddenly. That's not on him or his throwing angle either. The second one I'd like to have seen Quinn react and use his feet to adjust to or evade the rusher.
  8. Sometimes I wonder if this board remembers the Houston, K-State, TCU, and Iowa State games from *checks notes* last season. Expectations are higher this season, and rightfully so.
  9. Agreed. Unfortunately, mounting losses tend to knock one down in the polls, but also think Vandy's ranking is due to their historical reputation. I.E., they probably should have been ranked better than 25 when we played them.
  10. You might consider the Browning X-Bolt Hunter Micro Midas. It has a 20" barrel which is about ideal IMO. Short enough to be maneuverable, but any shorter and muzzle blast gets obnoxiously loud. Browning's bolt knob is a little different from most. Ruger has a compact 7mm-08 Hawkeye, but the barrel is 16.5" - a deal breaker for me and frankly, quite possibly flinch inducing for a young hunter even if the recoil itself isn't bad. In the used department, a Remington Model 7 might be an option if you can find one in acceptable condition/price. Link to Browning X-Bolt Hunter Micro Midas 7mm-08 20" NIB - Gunbroker.com Not suggesting you buy from gunbroker, but it's not a bad place to see what is available out there. As for not seeing anything locally. I've been willing to drive some distance after calling around to see if a gun I want is in stock at surrounding gunshops. Other option is to have your local shop order one which may or may not mean paying full MSRP depending on the shop.
  11. The second tipped pick was far worse than the first in terms of fault IMO. Even good QBs get occasional tipped passes from the pocket from time to time. There was no good excuse for the second one into an incoming pass rusher coming in hot like that.
  12. The call on Gunner was BS. He beat his man plain and simple and put him on the ground. No holding. There was a lot of uncalled holding by Vandy, which is why our pass rush didn't get home more. Whether they just missed them or not, I don't know. Not going to say it was intentional, but the holding calls in this game wasn't balanced IMO. Roberson is a liability on kick returns. He has legitimately been called for holding three times in the last two games.
  13. Blue had to get out of the doghouse for not protecting the ball. He got a lot of play this game, so he's getting his opportunities. Gibson is a liability in protection. Blue and Wisner are too, to a degree. Not surprised Gibson didn't really get a chance with Ewers still not confident under pressure. Caveat is though, he's pretty damn good running inside, which could help balance the game. But more predictable as a result.
  14. I think that has more to do with what the OL makes available. Sometimes it just isn't there. But on balance, he played well this game.
  15. WR need to be more physical off the line and block better.
  16. The defense is just baffling here. Was it prevent for all those chunk plays? Hate the camera views in this game.
  17. It's happening fast and he was trying to prevent him passing. If he stops, QB gets the play off. Momentum committed can't be stopped.
