  2. No one is saying the 100 or 40 time is the only factor to consider and I certainly pointed out Amari's potential for running inside zone. But it's still nice to know what you're getting speed-wise and for another data point of comparison.
  3. I couldn't find a 40 time for Latimer either. Found a 11.78 100m on Athletic.net Osborne has an 11.05 100m on Athletic.net. On his hudl, he shows a 10.76 100m and a 4.45 40 time. But what's the source for those times? If you plug the 100 times into a calculator, that 40 time does mesh though. If using their athletic.net times, the calculator yields: 11.78 -> 4.9 11.05 -> 4.6 Osborne's Hudl 10.76 -> 4.49
  4. He's a big back at 5-11, 209. He outruns most of his HS opponents, but he does not have the speed of Osbourne at 5-10, 195, or at least, I couldn't find a faster time for Amari. Amari is ranked 18th and Osbourne 5th in the 247 Composite RBs list, but the coaches have their own evaluations they go by and I could see him being valued for inside zone.
  5. That was my home store back in the day when I was renting on E. 46th St.
  6. To add to this, South at 247 already has a Texas pick put in for Lattimore. Is there a Lattimore RB I'm just missing, or is it Amari Latimer y'all are referring to?

  9. Agreed. 247 also includes a scouting report (usually), which can vary in quality and depth, but a plus nonetheless.
  10. I agree, there was definitely some improvement this season. Were there any analysts or other staff added that may have possibly accounted for that? I've rendered no judgement regarding Joseph regardless. He may well be improving or have help. I do stand by the notion that some players will excel no matter who their coach is. Poona Ford comes to mind as another example.
  11. Yeah, I've heard Butler's name as one of the fast guys too, and like you, when I did a search, couldn't find any sub-11 times either. There's fast, and then there's blazing fast, but maybe he is more dynamic or shifty than Niblett since his name is sometimes mentioned as a potential return guy. They recruited him for a reason. I hope Niblett can refine his game because having two guys that can take the top off the field would be a real asset whether you're going deep or getting the ball to them in space. Also, I thought he got onto the field here more recently for some snaps, but I don't see that in his roster bio. Not sure if I'm misrecalling or if they haven't updated his bio.
  12. horny_gunman was absolutely correct about Jahdae Barron being both a gifted and highly motivated athlete. I'm not saying Joseph is, or is not, a bad coach, but I am not surprised by Barron's achievement, although I didn't have it on my bingo card either. He has frequently been mentioned as a dedicated player who spends a lot of time film watching to gain an edge and made heads-up plays as a result. And he was nails at nickle in previous seasons. Intelligent, self-motivated players like that can make a bad coach look good.
  13. Without inside information, speculation is all we have, but he may yet work his way into the starting rotation. I hope that he does. I had thought that he was simply a raw prospect that just needed more work on route running and such. I believe Wingo is our only other player on offense with a sub-11 100 meter. Incidentally, I misspelled his name earlier. Niblett is correct.
  14. So what’s Sark playbook like? Here, write it down
  15. yeah i could see that being the KO return duo and Niblett starting off as PR with Butler being worked in. I think Niblett could an X factor next year. Somewhat of a veteran, played multiple roles, good measurables. I seem to recall a nice short yardage run where we made a subtle nice move that gained yardage (may have been a TD, not sure if he registered one last season), iirc it was (ahem) inside the 5. 247sports - Ryan Nibblet Just a portion of his H.S. 17. Jucys Hamburgers isn't depressing. Have eaten there a time or two although it's been a while. Good burgers and the complimentary beans are too.
