  1. Boneheaded play by D Williams. Oh well, young players gotta learn some hard lessons.
  2. Sean McDonough was the one who said that and has clearly been the most egregious in leading the propaganda charge against us, but McElroy has been complicit this game. He's usually more evenhanded covering Texas.
  3. Several plays where Quinn's passes have been a little frantic. A little more poise and those would have been completions.
  4. Like how our defender didn't take the bait and allow Bowman to convert on the roll out. PK needs to make some half time adjustments here.
  5. Sean McDonough is ass.
  6. They're getting the ball out quickly to avoid that.
  7. Will be interesting to me whether Blue stays or portals. He seemed to improve his inside running these last few games. Even making some hard yards after contact. Not enough samples to be definitive, but encouraging nevertheless. Think Baxter will benefit from another year in the oven. Not that he isn't big and strong as it is, but still expect a guy his age to put on some good weight from S&C. Hoping that helps his durability. Really liked the flashes we saw from Wisner too. He has good vision, similar to Brooks IMO. Good problem to have, but can we hang onto all these guys.
  8. Not to mention those stats not tracked, like ball spots, holding up offense play start while the opposing D gets set, etc.
  9. Well, I certainly am not. About to sit in on a teams meeting just so it looks like I am doing something.
  10. Highlighted excerpt below. They're gonna have to watch out for crooked officiating ...
  11. It's kind of the two-edged sword with his natural mechanics. His ability to effortlessly twist and change direction while throwing off his backfoot to the opposite hash undermines his downfield throws, because he does so reflexively. I.E., if and/or when he learns to consistently step into his downfield throws, he'll achieve next level performance. He's just inconsistent with it now, and I believe it has to do with improving his poise so he can concentrate. In the first half, as in other games, he was antsy in the pocket. The OL could have done better to help with that early on too. Under duress, he reverts to his reflexive throwing mechanics. When he's able to maintain concentration, he can step into the throw and nail it. That's my opinion. Other thought is he also waits too long to make many of his downfield throws. That's another two-edged sword I believe is a result of his risk aversiveness (good thing trying to avoid throwing INTs) but often prevents hitting the open deep receiver in stride resulting in DBs catching back up with the receiver. Heacock also did well dialing up the best scheme to make Quinn uncomfortable with what he was seeing downfield. Not surprising as he is a guru of it and had an entire season's worth of film to prep with.
  12. This is fucking AWESOME! It's Comedy Gold and the best one posted yet, IMO.
  13. Looking forward to seeing how he develops after another off-season of S&C and practice. Blue also looked better this game. In particular, in between the tackles. Not off the charts, but better than I've seen from him in the past. I still want to see them protect the ball better though. That's a clear coaching deficiency.
  14. Uh, NO. Quinn is the clear starter and he's developed considerably. But he's got a ways to go before that label applies.
  15. "Matt Campbell is a cunt" - Fondren & Main
  16. Looking forward to some tweets for Mr. Jarrod Hufford.
  17. Had 20 seconds on the play clock when they snapped. WTF?
  18. Run the ball by all means. But if a pass is needed to move the chains then do it.
  19. Matt Campbell and Sonny Dykes ... bitch asses of the league.
