  1. Worthy needs to wrap up and protect the ball when in heavy traffic. That one arm shit is inviting strips and fumbles. Since I see it all the time from him and other ball carriers, it means Sark isn't emphasizing it. Basic fucking football stuff right there.
  2. Founders Breakfast Stout ...
  3. On Spinal Tap's Richter scale? ...
  4. Or if you want to get fancy: Vollum Stainless Steel Insulated Beverage Dispenser – Insulated Thermal Hot and Cold Coffee Carafe – 12 Liter.
  5. Could probably just use some igloo drink coolers/dispensers. Should keep hot for a good while. Other option might be using canned heat like sterno or a camping stove like Coleman.
  6. I agree. Fixed it for you .
  7. I agree. If he'd been allowed to do more than mostly hand off the ball in mop up duty in a paltry few games prior to this, it likely would have been better. But since Texas has to struggle with all the opponents we should be mopping up the floor with, Maalik has had precious few snaps, and hardly any passing hitherto.
  8. I'll have you know I had to look up Phi Slama Jama.
  9. 5 weeks and you already caved? ... Check your man card in and bow your head in shame . I also missed most of the game. Had fence to build and today was the first day of reliably good weather and available time to do it. After the third Texas TD, I resumed work on the fence. Maalik looked about like I expected -- a work in progress.
  10. God I love Ant Hill because he loves contact.
  11. Definitely a WTF moment.
  12. It's his first game to start. I mean, he may never get it, but a little patience. It's expected that he needs some time to find his way.
  13. On the bright side, BYU isn't that good. Probably about as good of a starting opponent we could ask for without training wheels for Murphy.
  14. Quinn is not a true freshman, he's a sophomore, 14 games or not. He's been through two fall camps. He won the starting position splitting reps in the first fall camp, named the starter and both started and ended the season as the starter. His second full camp he was the unquestioned starter and did not split reps. So he should look better than most true freshman, and he does. On the flip side, how much better might he have done his freshman season if Neyor hadn't been injured? Another downfield threat not named Worthy with a big catch radius with a track record of making contested catches. We'll never know but it's doubtfull opposing DC's could have focused on taking Worthy out of the game with impunity.
  15. The lens as viewed from the vantage point of struggling college students is akin to those final straws on said proverbial camel's back.
  16. Reminds me of a joint I stopped at outside San Antonio driving eastbound I-10 many years back. Billboard said, "World's Best BBQ", or something like that. I was hungry and thought, that's a bold statement for a BBQ joint in central Texas - gotta try it. It was awful. Brisket was roasted, not smoked. Sausage was subpar. Didn't even have good sauce to compensate. As I drove away, I concluded they must draw in a lot of fresh suckers like me with that sign to stay in business. Location being on I-10 probably what made that possible.
  17. According to their website, yes. I've not been there. Got this at HEB. I was a little disappointed with it and won't buy it again. I agree it looked good, but ... caveat, taste is subjective and all that. My first try of a dunkel or Klaus brewing. Maybe it's better on draft or this batch was not to my liking.
  18. You are your mother's son after all ...
  19. It's tough to beat no matter what you use, whether it be your fists, a hammer or pile driver ...
  20. They are also a valid criticism of the team as a whole. It is a team sport and it only takes one or two not doing their job correctly to foil a play. As good as he has played this season, for instance, Brooks could have made it in the endzone against OU on a play running behind Murphy and Sweat if he'd just followed Sweat as intended, but he hesitated and looked left to a gap that was opening left of center that was immediately filled by Sooners. His hesitance looking for alternate holes to develop often yields great results, but in this case it doomed the play. It's a game of fractions of a second and inches at times, especially at the goal line. The interior OL is a weakness and having Majors go down with Hutson already out thrust Robertson into the fire. Majors played at less than 100% against Houston, and Hutson was still out. Hopefully Majors is much better tomorrow.
  21. Ewers does tend to throw balls erring towards preventing interceptions. He doesn't always succeed though as he often lags on crossing routes and slants, as well as some downfield throws. But you see him leading receivers often enough to tell that he's trying to prevent interceptions. And in this instance, he had to clear that LB. He has more and better weapons too. AD Mitchell, and a more seasoned Sanders and Worthy. So, clearly a more dangerous passing game. They can't just focus on Worthy.
