  1. Why are we still debating this? Quinn has tendencies, and Georgia exploited it. When we lined up in trips ron 3rd and long Quinn made the decision pre snap he was going to Helm and Georgia made that bet giving up the slant and bringing the CB blitz.
  2. So Cale Gundy is basically their Duane Akina?
  3. That play was never getting made, the defense was teed up for that. The second they saw the trips they knew exactly where Texas wanted to go with the ball the delayed blitz up the middle get the RB blown up taking the QB eyes away from down field just in time for the CB blitz to get home.
  4. Y’all have a lot of strong opinions on scheme and mechanics for a bunch of stupid fucks that very clearly don’t know the difference between a zone read and a RPO.
  5. But you loses a shit load of the intermediate move the chain throws. When Manning was starting the offense was explosive but also extremely inefficient, as manning kept pressing for the big plays instead of just sustaining drives and moving the chains.
  6. When the play call comes in the offense will set in a formation and the defense will line up in its formation, the QB will then motion someone on offense and that will either force the defense to reveal their coverage or get them in a match up disadvantage. A big reason UGA kicked our ass is that they didn't bite on any of Texas's motions and basically played man press and bet the house that they could get to Quinn before he could go through his progression and the receivers got open. So a lot of the bed wetting is unnecessary as nobody else on the schedule will be able to do what Georgia did, press man against our WR if you don't have elite talent on the back end is just asking Quinn to hit slants, curls and crossing routes all day for 15-20 yards.
  7. Manning does not have the whole play book, when Arch was starting the offense used much less motion and fewer formations. What you gain in potential talent upside for pulling Ewers for Manning, you lose in scheme as Manning doesn't have the full offense to run.
  8. You’re telling me the 28 year old 3x SB 3x MVP future HOF NFL QB has better pocket presence than a 21 year old college QB?
  9. We won't see another defense like this, so it would take a total mental breakdown for Quinn to play this bad again. He has to leave for the NFL after this season, he's a former 5* 3 year starter in a NFL style offense, the tape has been made and he has an injury history. When you see guys come back for a 4th year it generally the result of wanting to play in a system that will increase they're draft stock or they are trying to over come a major injury and show they still have their athletic ability, none of these apply to Quinn.
  10. This is a Charlie Strong tier team.
  11. This is some weak ass Aggie sauce, they don’t give out trophies for hypothetical victories, injuries are part of the game and Texas lost a national title and at home to Bama. We don’t own Bama, and if your trying to use example from 50+ years ago when those coaches are dead and the players in nursing homes to support your argument, that’s a living in the past and a loser mentality in itself. Our goal going forward should be to build Texas into a juggernaut to kill other programs, but let’s not lie to ourselves about what Saban and Bama were. Because here’s the truth, in his run Saban and Bama racked up more hardware than the Texas football program has in its entire history, our goal should be to get to the level dominance that they have enjoyed for the last 15 years.
  12. My favorite take that I constantly see is the idea that you can’t both have money and success, because that’s currently what the Texas players are doing.
  13. You’re missing context on the corn dog bit. BV is a health nut and was asked if he had ever had a fletchers corn dog, he said no, but would eat one when OU won. So Sark coming into the press conference with a corn dog was a Daniel Day Lewis “I drink your milkshake!” Move.
  14. So concerned about how we aren’t getting our money’s worth, while we sit undefeated ranked #1 with a dozen NFL draft picks.
  15. They have to settle, the SEC and B1G are the NCAA and if they go to trial and loses the damages will be in the billions and NCAA members which include Texas will be on the hook for.
  16. No, the actual story is amusing. Rob Lowe had to be at that game todo a promotional bit for a show on the network. But he didn’t care about either team so when they offered him a hat to wear on the broadcast took the NFL hat which he had never seen before and wore that.
  17. Brent Venables plays his scratch off tickets while standing at the gas station register.
  18. Ohh god. A cross pollination of Andrew Tate incels and Texags Tucker Carlson divorced dads is a social and political nightmare.
  19. Holy crap! The long roll out pass to Wingo looked amazing on broadcast, but seeing it from the top down angle is insane. Rolling out squaring up and launching that 40+ yards down field and placing it safely for Wingo out of the reach of the DB is nuts. Forget that’s it’s up against UTSA, that’s a throw that most P4 starting QB’s couldn’t make in a game of 7 on 7
  20. It would even more invisible on LHN.
  21. Because if he goes to MSU and develops to his potential, he will cost 10x as much in NIL and will be a recruiting dog fight against every elite team in the country.
  22. I had the same injury and same reaction as Quinn. The initial pain was agony and incapacitated me and was scary because of how the pain radiated into my abdomen, to the point that I thought I needed to go to the ER. However once I got over the initial pain and shock, it was just a strained muscle. Took me a couple of weeks to get comfortable again to lift, but the injury was nowhere near as bad as it seem at the time.
  23. Where do you think flood is going?
