  1. Guys it’s just the media dumbasses feed off each other at this point and the hate is only going get worse now that Texas is slapping on an SEC patch on. Enjoy it, personally I like being the villain and and it seems that Hartzell and Eltife realize that’s what Texas is and should be.
  2. We can’t be recruiting this guy if we are joining the conference with a team that has an oliphant as it mascot.
  3. Which can still result in the Big 12 being overpaid. Which kept OU and UT in the Big 12 and out of the Pac.
  4. This is actually why the Networks over paid for the Big 12, adding OU and Texas to the Pac would bring massive brands and markets for the Pac12 network and should the Pac12 had succeeded in getting their networks in peoples houses it could have been a huge problem for them when all the other conferences followed suit. So over paying for the Big 12 and throwing UT the LHN and OU FSSW would have kept the networks as the middle men and severly hurt the Pac12's attempt to circumvent them.
  5. They aren’t getting anywhere close to 25-30 million. The networks grossly overpaid the Big12 to stay together in 2011. There was going to be a market correction and that’s why OU and Texas are bolting, if the Big12 was going to get a hair cut with OU-UT in it it will get scalped with out them.
  6. I am assuming that the Big 12 can’t add any new teams until 2025 with out having to renegotiate the GOR which would allow OU and Texas to bolt.
  7. There is a fuck load acres of cotton that still needs to be picked. So knowing our luck it’s gonna slam in to Baffin Bay and fuck up everyone from Wharton to Riviera
  8. You don’t add value, you may be more valuable then current Pac12 members but the pac 12 isn’t kick out WSU and replacing them with OSU. Y’all may be more productive then some current pac 12 “employees” but y’all cost of labor is still more than the value of your work and thus adding you to the work force would ultimately be a net negative.
  9. I think the sudden move to clamp down on expanding the playoff is being pushed by the ACC and Pac so they can hide how little depth those conferences have. Think about a hypothetical 12 team playoff what the conferences could muster. SEC #1 Alabama #2 Oklahoma #3 Georgia/Texas/Florida/LSU/A&M The B1G can have a decent response with. #1 OSU #2 PSU #3 Wisconsin/Michigan with a Iowa or MSU team popping up now and then. When you get to the ACC things start to look a little bleak. #1 Clemson #2 FSU/Miami #3 VT/UNC/NCSU? And then you get to the Pac12 and ooof. #1 Oregon? #2 USC/UW? #3 Utah/Standford/CU/WSU? That’s a big old yikes. The Pac12 and ACC have vested interest in keeping the playoff small so they only have to muster 1 title contender and not expose the rest of the conferences.
  10. Well this is going to start to actually suck extra hard. Because at least when a recruit used picked Bama we didn't have to play them and they would get to piss in A&M cheerios. Now every recruit we lose to Bama, LSU etc is one more recruit we will have to line up against.
  11. And still the only conference to pull it off and the only one that has made multiple cases for it and will be adding a team that was regularly one of the other 3.
  12. Well the SEC currently gets 25-50% of the playoff spots so I don't see how this hurts them.
  13. Half of this board is fucking morons that regularly get fooled by fake Twitter accounts.
  14. So white and with a knee brace is his #1 QB?
  15. Well that’s because all of Bama’s WR’s and RB’s scored the touch downs. How many of Bama TD were from the goal line were the QB could make the play?
  16. Once the pads come on I think we will see the difference, Thompson’s legs may give him the edge should the Oline protection not be great.
  17. The SEC dropped the hammer with OU and Texas. Any conference scrambling to react to that is foolish, the SEC has all the cards trying to raise the stakes only plays into the SEC hands. The push back on the playoff is a perfect example, Sankey firing back the current status quo is fine and the SEC benefits either way but trying to torpedo the playoff expansion only hurts the other conferences.
  18. That’s a conference that collapses and see’s USC Washington and Oregon in the Big10 or SEC in 15 years.
  19. Where is the Nasshon Hughes and Ta'Quon Graham are turning heads and looking like having a break out year part of the fall camp 9.95 update?
  20. Hot Take. I think moving to the SEC is the only way that Texas could become a title contender in again. My reasoning being the SEC is pretty damn open about winning football games and making money are the goal and everything else is just bullshit. I have always felt that Texas suffers from it's own form of Michigan Man syndrome and a move to the Pac-12 or B1G would exacerbate those issues. If Texas underperforms in the SEC then that mean ass beatings from Pig, Aggy, LSU and OU and that's going really get fans and donors to shake the AD tree to fix shit.
  21. It doesn't matter what the talent was decades ago when you guys were in college it's what's on campus now, and A&M and Texas are very much in the same category. And neither Texas or A&M come close to Ole Miss, Bama and Scar because those schools actively recruit the B-C students with rich dads and trophy wife moms who couldn't get into Texas, UGA or UF, to come to their school and major in business or comms and live the life.
