I mean, as idiotic as this is, it's 100x better than the official drivel that has come from the aggy admin since the announcement.Well, this dipshit must not post at TexAgs or SEC Rant. He didn't know their BOR was meeting on Monday in a vain, last-ditch attempt to kill the deal. But, aggy gon aggy.

Y'all check out this drivel posted on FB by an aggy "friend" of mine. Good God, these people are insufferable. So much bluster, so little actual knowledge.
Quote.....Texas alums are not going to be happy when they realize the need Kansas, K-state, Iowa st, and the new inept regime at Waco to eke out the wins necessary for bowl eligibility.Overall....A stubborn slow learn for Austin and Norman....but they finally got to the right ' can't beat em, join em'....answer. Have no idea why it took this long to check the ego and make the smart prudent decision in all facets, and for all supporters and concerned. Not complicated to understand they could not be all they are capable of, going at it alone. And that the red river rivalry is not enough to keep their football teams relevant and at the top of the national conversation.Congrats -
"We"?If anyone knows Daniel Figurelli, can you please send him the suicide hotline number and tell him we’re worried about him?

Maybe so, but I think the SEC will throw aggy a bone and align them with LSU and the Mississippi's. We'll get OU, Arky, and Mizzou.I truly cannot stop cackling at the possibility of locking aggy into a Big XII pod for the rest of their SEC days.
(yes I said this on the other thread and yes I'm copy/pasting it here)
Sorry we reneged on our "gentleman's agreement'.

Plus, they got our "dedicated baseball logo" wrong. We don't wear the ubiquitous Longhorn noggin on our caps. It's the block T.I had no idea so many schools had a dedicated baseball logo. Seems stupid. Get 1 good logo and run with it.️

“Frick”, “baw”, and “shite” are apparently a part of their linguistic evolution in the swamps.
Are we sure that we want to be associated with these rubes?

Texas Tech + Arizona State fans together in the same conference will result in one hell of an STD.
They were in the Border Conference together, years ago. It'll be a reunion

Nobody which is their problem! Bowlsby ought to be begging the SEC to take more than two teams.
Why the hell would Bowlsby do that? You don't think he likes being the Big 12 commish?
Being 2nd in charge at the SEC doesn't pay as well.

Maybe pausing and thinking for two seconds before talking would help....
Are we sure Bowtie was a Rice Institute grad?

I'm not familiar with either BYU's nor TCU's student handbook. Just pointing out a fact - BYU's fan base is much larger. Plus, who knows if BYU would even want to join? Their 2021 independent schedule is pretty good with 4 PAC teams already.
I won't be surprised if the PAC expanded with Tech, OSU, UH, and Boise St. Who knows?

I understand this is just grasping at straws from the sad orphans, but if we are going to discuss this for real: isn't there a huge fucking precedent from aggy in 2012?
Exactly
UT alums, money, and influence couldn't block aggy's departure in 2011, but Douchey is banking on Tech, BU, and TCU politicians? Good luck with that.

That's my only real hope for survival at this point. One in a million shot, but it's all I got.
FWIW, I'd like to see Mizzou finally get their B1G invite so we can bundle OSU in the SEC deal, too. Don't see it happening, though.

My guess is they go full court press and try to also get 4 teams total to respond to the new 16 team norm.
Maybe also get TCU & UH....
Not flagships, but two huge metro areas
The Big12 will die or the AAC will just take Baylor + Kansas St and likely the Big12 name.
PAC would be stupid not to take BYU instead of TCU if they're going to take a "religious" school. Much bigger fan base. It's about clicks for streaming games now - not marketing area nor footprint.

What if we make it bigger just to piss them off and remind them we are gonna kick their asses once again.
The Longhorn noggin on the side of our helmets and TEXAS on our jersey already serves as a reminder.

Would we have to wear that ugly sec patch on our jerseys?
Yes, but it'll be a much smaller version than aggy's. Think LSU

God I hate espn, look how much they have brain washed people. In recent years Texas absolutely physically dominate Georgia, and have the best LSU team ever all they could handle. This narrative is stupid and needs to die. Our boys from Texas will do just fine against anyone.
...and aggy competed in the SEC West right away in 2012 with Texas kids recruited to compete in the Big 12. What a tired narrative.

Still very odd that all these defensive hires occurred when we evidently don't have a DC yet.
Wouldn't the new DC wanna bring a few of "his" guys with him?
