It's 100% Nebraska propaganda to say "look! They were doing it too!"
Lee Barfknecht wrote it for Christ's sake.
All four defectors are full of shit, pointing fingers.
Nebraska and Mizzou were much better off in the Big 12. Both effectively cut off their recruiting pipelines to TX.

this will be particularly useful when A&M starts filling its non-conference vacancies past the point at which they're currently scheduled. "We're filled up for ten years" or whatever their excuse was when CDC asked will look pretty hollow.
aggy's bitch dog of a mascot - chained behind the fence - is the perfect metaphor for A&M. Grrrrr...lemme at him! But, we all know how it'd turn out. Ask UGA.

They also have a Muhammad in this recruiting class and two Muslims in the same room counts as an al-Qaeda cell under CStat municipal law.
Did they pre-qualify by completing coursework at aggy's Blinn Qatar branch campus?

I don't mind I-State at all. It has some historic roots.
But the bevels have to go. Fuck bevels so hard.

That's a shame. Not sure how OSU fans feel about it but the Pete and weird star logo both look awful IMO. That trimmed down OSU logo looks great though. And for the record, the Sanders era throwbacks y'all wore last year were amazing.
No doubt.

Not necessarily uni related, but OSU announced "one logo" for all purposes. It essentially killed the bevels and the hideous too busy block O logo. I'm still not a fan necessarily of the font used, but this is by far my favorite of the non throwback logos we've been using.

Nice update!
Bevels are overused and really only look good on Tech's logo, IMO. But, y'all definitely need to keep this one. #GolfSchool

Every time I see them use Texas aggy, I realize how much they hate being known as A&M.
There's an aggypedia for that...

You’re dense. TT is the last regular season game numbnuts.
Look at the schedule last year, "numbnuts", and get back to me. Maybe it's only a one off?

Lol what?
There are many rivalry games played the last game of the year. I liked alternating Tech and TCU home games Thanksgiving weekend. KU doesn't move the dial in any way.

So FSU had an entitlement problem (academics, discipline, rape, etc.) instilled in the players by Jimbo, but Willie Taggart brought in Kendal Briles and now everything is better?

Who doesn't trust this guy?

I'd rather play any Texas team the last week of the season than Kansas, especially @ KU

Which chapter are you going to be associated with?
On balance I think most of them do a decent job considering the experience level is kind of lacking due to huge turnovers with many of the chapters across the state due to age in many of these guys. Plus the game is so dang fast now even at the high school level, stuff is going to get missed.
My only gripe with the different chapters I've see the last few years in our deep playoff runs is some chapters are more picky on things that others kind of ignore or vice versa. We've had chapters from the RGV, San Antonio, Austin, Coastal Bend, Abilene, Fort Worth, Waco and Houston call some of our playoff games and the Houston chapter loves to throw the flags on what they think are chop blocks. I mean a couple of years ago we went a whole season without getting flagged for one until the second or third round when they called one of our games and the flags were flying like crazy. Then we play the following week with a crew from San Antonio and not one flag for chop block.
Hey, coach
You can download your own PDF copy of the NCAA Rule Book here. Use CTR-F to search the rule book for approved rulings.
Rule 2-3-3, Chop Block
ARTICLE 3. A chop block is a high-low or low-high combination block by
any two players against an opponent (not the ball carrier) anywhere on the
field, with or without a delay between blocks; the “low” component is at the
opponent’s thigh or below. (A.R. 9-1-10-I-IV). It is not a foul if the blockers’
opponent initiates the contact. (A.R. 9-1-10-V)(A.R. 9-1-10-I-IV). Tight end A87 and wingback A43 are leading the play when both
simultaneously block linebacker B17, who is three yards beyond the
neutral zone. (a) Both blocks are above the waist. (b) One block is above
the waist and the other at the knee. RULING: (a) Legal blocks. (b) Foul,
chop block.(A.R. 9-1-10-V). After snapping the ball, snapper A54 brushes by nose guard B62 on his
way to block a linebacker. A54 makes slight contact with B62, or B62
reaches out and uses his arm to initiate contact with A54. While B62 and
A54 are in contact, right guard A68 blocks B62 at the knee from the front.
RULING: Legal. A54 is not blocking B62. The incidental contact or B62’s
initiating contact does not constitute part of a combination block, and
hence there is no chop block. -

Pre season rant.
All you refs suck! Go get your eyes checked! How much did the other team pay you? What time is your tee time with the other teams coaching staff on Sunday? You should be calling Pop Warner, not Varsity. Get your heads out of your whatever!
Did I miss any?
Thanks and carry on.
You missed, "Stop looking at me like I'm crazy!"

But, wait, there’s more!
Here's TASO “leadership” in action. Two-week suspension for a racial slur….No, let’s make it 5 weeks including 3 playoff games….No, let’s make it a year-long suspension….
Article reads to me like TASO leaders initially thought only 2 games was appropriate for this behavior/attitude.

I recently joined, now that both of my kids are in or about to be in college. I always wanted to be a FB official, but couldn’t justify it until they were out of the “nest”.
I’ll be the “new” guy this year and get all the sub-varsity games during the week, for experience and all.
Is there anyone here (state wide) that is a current TASO official?
I officiated TASO games for 10 years in the Fort Worth Chapter and just quit end of 2018, mostly because I'd rather coach my son's youth teams and play more golf. I worked varsity games at 4 of 5 positions - U, L, H, and R.
If you love TXHSFB, it's a good way to make friends and earn pocket money. Good avocation, but don't go in thinking you'll be "professionally" evaluated or have your performances graded fairly or properly by your chapter's "leadership". It is very much a good ol' boys network. Case in point, read this article in the Houston Chronicle about a few of these guys.
My advice to you is to work as many sub-varsity games, including junior high, in your first year or two. For me, game reps were more important than classroom sessions with boring PowerPoint presentations. I also recommend watching as much YouTube and HUDL video as possible. A great Facebook group to join is INSTANT REPLAY. Reddit has some good stuff, too - CFB_Referee, Referees of Redditt, etc.
PM me if you'd like more advice. Good luck!
