This should set the stage for the Big 12 negotiating a settlement to cut UT and OU loose. Keeping us around beyond 2023 with the newbies is foolishness. Time to move on.

I don’t really hate Texas. My interactions with Texas fans have been vastly positive. I’m mad that Texas and OU pulled out of the Big 12, but I don’t really hate either.
I hate Nebraska.Well, we can certainly agree on that. It's the only fanbase who may be doucheier than aggy. I've enjoyed watching them flounder in the Rust Belt.
Corn got what they deserve.

Texas hasn't signed any with Tech, yet. The media seemed to believe Hocutt was over his skis. Namely the 20-25 year commitment comment.
I fail to see how playing Tech annually benefits UT. I'd rather see the in-state OOC rotate among the former SWCs, including Tech, SMU, TCU, BU, UH, etc. The Big 12 never sold UT vs Tech as a big time "rivalry" after aggy left.

I don't want Texas to play Rice and UTSA every year, but the 2 games most be at home. Non-negotiable. Some annual mix of Rice, UTSA, UTEP, Texas State, UNT, ULM, and ULL would make sense. Please laugh any Big 12 team out of Moncrief if they propose a home and home series.
Any future games with Tech, BU, UH, etc. need to be 2 for 1.
ULM? Woof

Really surprised they haven't put a scoreboard up at the log collapse site, so those killed by their culture can see the game scores live, just like the dead mascots.
This makes more sense than the scoreboard at the pet cemetery. But, aggy

...If you go back through pre UT to the SEC times on this board, you will remember that no Texas fans gave a fuck about the SEC prior to absorption either.
true story
Now aggy wants to continue ducking UT by aligning with LSU and the Mississippis in a redneck pod. Too funny

NOT FISHY: He was pretty gung-ho for the fake Army school for awhile. Not much buzz from Alabama.
Looks like the SEC bammers have aggy figured out.

I remember a long time ago aggy wanted to be renamed Texas State. Still makes me laugh that the waitress school in San Marcos accomplished that instead.
Sauce?
If aggy wanted to be Texas State, they would've made it happen decades ago like every other states' ag school. But, those backwards maroons insist on keeping "A&M" in their moniker even though it now "stands for nothing". Like it ever did...

Because nobody's watching the store. NCAA are a bunch of feckless cunts. They have no investigative powers.
They never have and won't stop the flow of money big-time programs generate. Regrettably, aggy is a top revenue generator whether we acknowledge it or not. They could've and should've given aggy the SMU treatment after Sherrill/Slocum.
NCAA "enforcement" has always been inconsistent and selective, at best.

NIL free agency in CFB? I don't think that makes the sport better or more interesting.

I don’t know if a complex mathematical model is required to tell you that, in a vacuum, it is extremely difficult to do worse than 5-7 this year with basically the entire big 12 losing tons of returning production and us getting a huge upgrade at QB. Although I do find it interesting that the FPI is basically saying mediocrity will be widespread next year given it is forecasting double digit wins at only four schools.
We were supposed to be getting a "huge upgrade" at HC last season, too.

The equivalent would be if the tail said Cowboys, as in Oklahoma Cowboys, which is something I’ve never seen. We emphasize the State with the large S in the logo and otherwise to differentiate ourselves from the fuckstains down south. I always figured that aggy didn’t go with Texas State because the Armadillos took it first.
Well, the biggest aggy joke ever is the A&M now stands for nothing.
It just writes itself.

Lamar back to the Southland:

Travel for Lamar is much more cost-effective in the Southland. I won't be surprised if SFA, SHSU, and ACU return, as well. Why travel to NM and Utah for "meh" games?

Can't see shit /SteveWonder.meme
Answer is yes, but it was a long time ago. A lot of the "State A&M" schools went by "State Aggies" back in the day. They all dropped it when then dropped the A&M or when they adopted a new mascot, like when the Oklahoma A&M adopted Cowboys unofficially years before it became official.
Stevie Wonder meme was a link to your Oklahoma State baseball uniforms that feature OK prominently and "State" in the bat/tail. Not unusual for A&M/State universities at all, which is the point you've made abundantly clear.

Well, y'all should really be angrier with OU for blowing this up. Boren and his cronies lifted their skirts to the Pac and B1G with no luck - without UT. Why they want to leave after winning so many conference titles is the bigger mystery.
This conference is untenable without them, so UT finally acquiesced and decided we're better together elsewhere. Now we both get to take our orders from Birmingham, AL, and SEC mouth-breathers.
