  1. Auburn is the Tigers, too. I guess Liberty thought they needed an eagle mascot for the children.
  2. Fucking ridiculous. Now I remember why I usually don't watch NFL games.
  3. I forgot about them, and I'm from Houston. Kinda embarrassing, I guess? I also forgot El Paso's nickname is "Sun City". I'm on a roll today...furk
  4. aggy lawyers are the only ones desperate or dumb enough to leave that clause out.
  5. We don't have either in DFW. I do like the small Burger Boy chain in San Antonio better, though.
  6. Sun City is a retirement community near Georgetown, TX and a town in AZ
  7. I felt better about potentially "kicking the sonofabitch in".
  8. DeBoer was a fool to leave U-Dub for this situation. But he'll enjoy the buyout life for a while before he lands his next gig. The money and Bama's pedigree were too good to pass up.
  9. FWIW, I did watch all of Manning's passes on YT the day after the game. I just can't watch the whole game twice. But, yeah, that's why coaches gotta watch the tape to diagnose the plays and performance.
  10. What other college/university in Texas has already claimed TSU? TXST it is, moving forward, unless y'all start referring to UT as "tu" like aggy and other dipshits.
  11. No, I don't believe there'd be more UT fans at a Tech game in Lubbock. At Houston, Dallas, and maybe Ft. Worth? Sure
  12. No, unless Tech season ticket holders are unloading their seats for a premium on the secondary market.
  13. Yeah, but most of these jokers won't be able to haul much.
  14. UT's home games are all sold out, correct? We'll see how the actual gate and revenue get hit with the 3 spares we have lined up: SJSU, UTEP, and Sam. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to a 2 for 1 with Tech or Okie St. UH, TCU, and Baylor can rightfully fuck off, though.
  15. Why do this to yourself? I must say I admire your intestinal fortitude, though.
  16. IDK where there's an active volcano in NM. Yes, there are plenty of extinct ones. Geez...reading is fundamental.
  17. Tennesean.....New Mexican.....whatever it takes!
  18. Do your fellow alums think it makes y'all look like Cowboys' wannabes? TSU has always had the Star in its seal, right? FWIW, I like the SuperCat logo too.
  19. I like the helmets with the TSU star.
  20. I don't know how you can accurately assess the "NIL value" of a player endorsement. That will always be a subjective, more opinion-based valuation. I mean, if Vuori is overpaying for Manning advertisement it will adversely affect their business. I've never heard of that brand. Apparently, they're based in CA. Companies measure ROI for marketing differently, too.
  21. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no cap on NIL earnings for players, right? I've seen and heard that Arch is earning $6.5 MM this year, but I don't know if it's accurate. I mean, it's feasible with Red Bull, eyewear, clothing, and other individual endorsements from a car dealer, right? The NCAA can't crack down on these commercial opportunities according to the new law(s), correct? No, I haven't looked at this closely.
  22. Apparently, this is a real school. IDK where there's an active volcano in New Mexico, though.
  23. Nope The bluebloods and ratings-drivers will want a commensurate piece of the overall pie. This is why we broke away from the NCAA for TV contracts in the first place. OU, among others, was dissatisfied with its share.
  24. Well, yes, that's implied if he's an aggy mouthpiece. And who gives a fuck what they think? I had some mouthy, dipshit aggy tell me how overrated Manning was last Friday night. I reminded him, "If talking were a sport, A&M would have 20 national championships and win the Director's Cup damn near every year". Sumbitch was right against tOSU, though.
  25. This whole "playing to the level of competition" narrative is tiresome, bc you're right. 3 outta 4 (or 8 of 9 using SEC methodology) national championships came while UT was a member of the SWC. The "jihad" argument is somewhat true, but look at our records against SWC foes historically. Did it matter overall? Not really. Great teams beat whoever they're matched up against. UT has been far from great for a while, until the past 2 years. We've done well against everybody but UGA and tOSU.
