Not every coach has to be like Nick Saban but you do need some Ass kickers on a staff. It’s been over 30 yrs since I put pads on but I remember the coaches that got our adrenaline pumping and got us playing with some anger. I believe there is value in that. You could see the difference on the field Saturday between our intensity level and theirs, it matters.
Angry people win football games. At least they did back in the day.

Well, our new HC certainly appears to be.

That list is still just as uninspiring as it was when it was our list 9 months ago. And Knight ain't letting Cristobal leave for a rival so cross that one off.
Cristobal likes sunshine and the beach, so USC may have a strong pull. Of course, Miami should be open too. I love the way his O-Line played against tOSU. Toughness and grit

Maybe. But, what if Sark starts Casey and he goes in there and throws all over their dumbfuck sellout to stop the run defense? The TD's were there to be had if you hit the receivers. Great gameplan by Odom. Take away the run game and make the freshman QB beat you with his arm. Worked like a charm.
Dude, I've been on Team Casey from the start.
Arky was too big a stage for Card at this stage of his development, apparently.

Believe it or not most people don't respond well to people like Nick Saban in any business, line of work or sport. You are right. It is my opinion and I won't change it.
Saban's team and coaches seem to respond well to him if their business is winning football games and championships. @closetojumping and others agree with my take. All we have is opinions on this board.
Most think the Horns weren't prepared on Saturday night. Buck stops with Sark and I'm glad he took responsibility for it.

He said he hates loosing what do you want? Kick over the podium, kick puppies, curse Jesus? He stayed professional and composed, I like that. I think it shows confidence that they can fix some of the issues and put a product on the field that doesn't make us kick puppies, curse Jesus and murder hookers.

All that matters is what we’re in control of THIS week and what we are in control of is going 1-0.

Does Brewer get a Burnt Ends pay cut this week for dropping a ball on his numbers and not blocking anyone in a red jersey? FML

I'm not saying Sark should "fake" anything. I just don't get a sense the loss bothered him enough, but we haven't seen him show much emotion yet. I hope he got a little pissed off in the locker room and film room bc he should have.

thats kind of what's pissing me off. you and your team just got embarrassed... why arent you pissed? Saban would probably barking at everyone during the press meeting
Yeah, he would've been. Outkick is saying Urban is rattling everyone's cage in JAX after preseason games. That sumbitch hates to lose - maybe a little too much for the NFL.
Perhaps he'll reconsider UT if Sark can't get it going.

Something I heard for years by both fans and people inside belmont- the SEC is a bad cultural fit for Texas. Anyone who has ever uttered those words is a huge fucking pussy. There shouldnt be a single conference that is a "cultural fit" because we shouldnt care one iota what other schools think of us. I'm beyond excited to join the SEC. Not because they have great tailgating or tradition or any of that stupid bs. It's because they are clearly the best conference and I want to burn it to the ground and piss on the ashes. The model is out there under Saban. They truly believe theyre in a class of their own, and they believed it before the results proved it.
Yeah, and Sark should know the fuckin' model after working under Saban. The problem is he doesn't have the personnel right now to execute that plan. Hopefully, he's astute enough to adapt and maximize the potential we've got. It's not SEC Championship caliber yet.
But, Charlie and Herman should've known the Urban Model too. Neither found a way which was surprising. Especially for Mensa. /noracist

IMO, Sark should be more pissed off in general about Saturday night's performance. But, maybe he was "good cop" in Bama's locker room too. Just a little too laid back and California cool today.
But, he said Arky is "just another faceless opponent", too, so WTF...

Targeting and Making Forcible Contact With the Crown of the Helmet
ARTICLE 3. No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of their helmet. The crown of the helmet is the portion of the helmet above the level of the top of the facemask. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul.

Didn't the announcer say, "Arkansas hates Texas more than they like themselves."

The Jett Bush playing bullshit needs to stop. Got brutalized on every play.
If Jones is getting whipped on every play, Karic needs to come in.
Sark much like Herman thinks he’s has MUCH more time than he actually has. Hopefully a nonstop stream of shit this week willl wake him up.
This happens in every rebuild. Coaches get way too cute, play the good boys instead of the dogs because of practice habits/culture building. Bush playing instead of Collins is a crime.
Karic should be starting at one of the T spots, bc he's a fucking dog.

I don't watch the practices but all the smart money said Card was clearly better than Thompson...I never bought it -- you play the guy with experience unless he has demonstrated that he sucks on the field. Thompson had done the fucking opposite -- he was electric.
With a suspect OL, you play the experienced QB who can make plays with his legs.
This should be obvious, but isn't for some dumbass reason.

How hard is it to kick at the pylon?
Plus, why not take delay of game by trying to draw aggy offside there?
5 yards don't make a shit if you're gonna punt.
