  1. Perroni predicting a house for the kid before he’s even born does sound like a legitimate Perroni boast.
  2. 247 cannot pivot culturally or contractually. The CBS/Viacom merger has basically cemented the CBS Sports web presence (excluding streaming) and intertwined tertiary content as a monolith misaligned with the rest of the portfolio. These brands are the last bastion of digital, non-video focused content rolling up to ViacomCBS and you can bet that won't last long.
  3. I'd save myself the heartache and free up the brain space that this name currently occupies
  4. DeSoto wideout Johntay Cook II bets Texas, A&M, Bama first to call on Sept. 1 https://www.on3.com/news/johntay-cook-texas-desoto-wide-receiver-four-star-2023-am-alabama-texas-recruiting/ https://247sports.com/Player/Johntay-Cook-II-46086827/
  5. Gerry says we are out on Brumbaugh and Hausen. Hood-Schifino choosing Indiana means Tennessee ramps up their pursuit of Wallace who OVs to Kentucky this weekend, Texas the next. Gerry still thinks it's UK or Texas.
  6. Chad Simmons/On3 https://www.on3.com/news/simmons-top-five-performers-for-week-0/
  7. So close.
  8. Has she attended Tech for any length of time? If so, that's a feature, not a bug
  9. And I wanted Bobby Hurley, currently doing a whole lot of nothing at sparky. Turns our fans are dumb. Who knew?
  10. Solved the low hanging fruit https://texassports.com/news/2021/8/20/texas-athletics-and-the-brandr-group-launch-group-licensing-for-student-athletes.aspx
  11. If this was true, we’d be having no trouble closing on elite wr’s in Sark’s offense. Scheme has very little to do with recruiting in practical application. It’s money, friends in town, uniforms, gameday atmosphere, pussy, and relationships with coaches. Oh, sometimes academics. That’s basically it.
  12. It's probably Plonski
  13. Oh nooooooooooo
  14. Highly successful athletic departments rarely change course on a dime. Highly successful organizations are often the least agile. We beat Stanford for the Directors Cup this year for the first time ever. Revenues are recovering post-COVID. While I don’t think your premise is wrong, I struggle to understand why the AD would make any changes whatsoever in the absence of Chrystal’s spine or a football AD. We know they should, competitive intrusion and all that, but what will make them? Anyone that has worked for Oracle, IBM, or Kodak when they were printing money understands this point perfectly.
  15. My high school football team was also champions of SAD.
  16. I really feel bad for Demas, actually. His story is well documented in another thread, aptly titled “The Demond Demas Story”, and that kid hasn’t made a choice for himself, ever. No wonder he’s acting out and being generally malcontent-ual. For his sake, I hope he transfers to Texas. For our sake, I hope he transfers to okie lite.
  17. Hoooooooly shit. And he tagged the kid.
  18. I would wonder why I choose to align myself with a fan base responsible for those abominations. The problem isn't the site.
  19. We offered in July https://247sports.com/player/rowan-brumbaugh-46113022/ Article https://247sports.com/Article/Maryland-Texas-Kansas-Oregon-Northwestern-Miami-Rowan-Brumbaugh--169010782/
  20. This is fun. Click through for the thread
  21. So true. How else would he have landed the gig at *checks internet* SYRACUSE if not for his year at Texas?
